If the super-o is mainly anal, why is the need for prostate stimulation a thing?

Just been thinking about this, and reading people posts about how it's really not about your cock. I've noticed during my sessions that when my dick gets too hard it kinda ruins the buildup from the anal contractions and I get the urge to ejaculate instead. Isn't the stimulation of the prostate actually working against us. Why not just use a buttplug to focus everything on the anal muscles? Maybe I just don't understand how the prostate works 🙁

I think I’ve only had one session where my cock actually got hard. I always wondered if maybe I wasn’t focusing correctly on the right areas. Like everyone else I’ve had those “just got to jack it” moments, which were more out of frustration than anything else. After my last aneros session I’ve had two great p-wave experiences just by focusing and contracting muscles. Getting a little worked up about my next opportunity!

IMHO, the premise that "the super-o is mainly anal" is incorrect. If you look at the Super-O definition there is no specific mention of anal or anus. All orgasms I have experienced involve anal contractions even when the anus was not stimulated. It is possible to generate prostate based orgasms & Super-O's from perineal massage alone, no direct anal stimulation, nonetheless, once an orgasm is triggered anal spasms will likely be involved as well. Prostate massage involves stimulating the rete of nerves which surround the prostate, this group of nerves is distinctly different from the rete of nerves around the anus.

I've noticed during my sessions that when my dick gets too hard it kinda ruins the buildup from the anal contractions and I get the urge to ejaculate instead.

I think this is due to persistent neurological pathways in the brain associating erectile states with orgasm and ejaculation. As you become more experienced in focusing your mental energy on other sensations which lead to orgasmic outcomes you are rewiring your brain for an alternate orgasmic pathway. As this new alternate pathway becomes stronger you should notice the urge to ejaculate diminish but this pathway growth takes time, practice and patience.

Isn't the stimulation of the prostate actually working against us.

IMHO, NO, not if you directing your focus on the sensations being generated by your prostate. If you fall back on your traditional neural pathways to orgasm then you are not contributing to building the new pathways.

Why not just use a butt plug to focus everything on the anal muscles?

I suppose you could do that except a traditional butt plug will only tangentially stimulate the prostate nerve rete. You could rewire your brain to orgasm through this method, however, it will probably take even longer to achieve Super-O's using only a butt plug.

Maybe I just don't understand how the prostate works

Maybe so, perhaps doing some research into the importance of the prostate in the male reproduction system and male sexuality is in order here.
Good Vibes to You !

Thank you for the detailed answer. I will keep using my aneros of course. I've gotten to the "blisfull" state multiple times now. It feels absolutely amazing and you just want to stay in that state forever, but sadly that's hard to do.

Yes man, do NOT grab your cock and go for broke when it gets hard! Just keep letting whatever is happening keep going. If your cock stays hard, cool. If you feel like grabbing it, don't. Eventually, though, the stimulation on your prostate will likely make your penis get flaccid again, and then you may feel the really fun stuff start to happen. That's how it goes with me, although I don't get fully hard, maybe 75% or so. But when it goes down to flaccid, I guess my prostate "changes shape" or changes position due to its connection to my cock. When I'm hard everything with my prostate feels different if an Aneros is in me.

When my cock goes back to fully flaccid, the contractions really start to amplify, and that's usually when I have my first or only super O of that session. I'll tend to have small prostate Os for the first 5-10 minutes of my session, mild but wonderful ones. Then everything starts to get warm and things start moving and my cock starts to jump because my anal sphincters and prostate are pulsing along with the Aneros' movements. My cock will get slightly or almost fully hard, and it will become VERY INTENSE. But, I let it go, it gets soft again, and then I guess the freedom of movement with the Aneros makes contact in a new way with my prostate, and BLAMMO!!! I start having a most intense and "melting" orgasm. Then things start get very regular after that. My prostate Os are stronger and longer lasting, and if I have the right toy in that matches my needs/wants, I'll have another super O. But it's not a guarantee.

Just keep going with it and enjoy all the fun things your body does!!

Sorry @Birdie06, but these words of yours reveal a mindset that might be an obstacle for your journey.

There's is nothing to do! It might be even harder, but you only have to let go.

To @rumel's wise words

this pathway growth takes time, practice and patience.

I would like to add "and a mindset of letting go and giving up command."

The more you give your prostate the chance to become your second brain and to be in control of your session, the more benefit you will receive.

My thoughts during my sessions often are "Is it me and my consciousness wanting this sudden involuntary motion or is it my gland's command?" If there is any suspicious fact I won't follow that urge. And suddenly I hover on a wave my gland sends through my body. The difficulty to distinguish between your will and those vibes coming from your gland is your greatest challenge.

Good luck and good vibes!

@techpump, I'm fully on your side. Awesome how differently we both described the same idea in exactly the same minute. Cheers! 😎
