@SaddleUp,

Can you recommend some specific Chakra meditations on youtube or elsewhere?

A thoroughly enjoyable and edifying thread! Thanks, MrCanuck, for your excellent descriptions and everyone else for their responses. It's threads such as these which reinforce (for me) the idea that we are in some ways, a community. So many have had similar experiences as they started and make similar discoveries on their way, and yet, everyone has their own path and feels the effects just a bit differently.

Oh, the weightlessness feeling — I've experienced that as well, twice I think? It feels pretty odd, and I think with me it was basically an orgasm when fairly tired.

MrCanuck, why don't you just follow your mind when it tries to leave your body? I agree with the others that what you describe sounds like a calm seas orgasm as I experience them The eyes fluttering involuntarily, the mind trying to leave sounds like reverie, a waking dream state.

SattleUp, I second Darwin. What chakra meditation do you find useful? I've been doing a energy balancing technique called microcosmic orbit which gives me different knd of orgasms. See my blog for breathing meditation. I also have the tightness in my abdomen and it is blocking my progress I believe. I store emotional stress there and I've been trying to figure out what to do with it. My tai chi teacher gave me a chigung movement which I haven't tried yet. I signed up for deep muscle massage which I haven't had yet. I've been kneading my abdominal muscles while orgasming which has helped. it feels wonderful. I'm circulating sexual energy with the breathing meditation while doing this and bathing my abdomen in warmth. It feels sexual, relaxing, emotional, different. I just play around with the muscle tissue, sometimes deep massage and sometimes just holding my belly is all that's needed.

some ideas. mentally picture a warm orange (insert favorite color here) colored liquid entering your big toe, like a hose is attached to your big toe. Mentally "fill up" your body, starting with your toes, moving to your ankles, calfs, knees, etc. As you mentally feel the liquid move to a new section of your body, imagine it making that body part get warm and relax. I had a tape at one time that would verbally walk me though the process. But I am able to mentally do it now. when I am really stressed, I use this technique...

Another is to picture a butterfly fluttering within your body and picture it gathering your stress on it's wings and then fly out and away from your body. Mentally picture it flying higher and further away from your body, breath deeply and slowly as it flies away

You asked: “how is the feeling different from when they were just feeling "good" and not "great”?”

I think it’s a growing awareness that it IS pleasurable, or that it was always pleasurable but you’re finally recognizing it. And the more you recognize the pleasure, the more you know what you’re looking for. It’s an ability to associate these physical phenomena with pleasure. So I may not know how to answer your question directly, other than to say that when you feel something that’s “good,” see if you can isolate that feeling a bit more. And if it fades, look somewhere else. I think the more you focus on a pleasurable feeling, you feel the pleasure grow, but at some point it begins fading, and pleasure “somewhere else” is growing. So you need to be able to switch your focus. Is it growing in your nipples? In your ass? Check your stomach? Change your fantasy. Try another fantasy, reverse roles in your head with your lover, perform for an imaginary audience. Give in to penetration, your are bound and unable to resist what is happening to you. Maybe that doesn’t work for you, but something else will build your arousal, and then you can look/feel for where the pleasure is emanating from.

@Darwin:

Currently my favorite guided meditation podcast is from “Meditation Oasis,” and is called Chakra Meditation. It’s very simple, very introductory, 19 minutes long. I often do it as a warmup to a session, but sometimes I’ll listen to it while doing an Aneros or -less session. It is hard to pay attention when things get rolling!

I’ve listened to a number of Chakra specific meditations on YouTube, but I’m not able to recommend one right now because I can’t find the ones I’ve liked. I need to figure out how to bookmark or save the ones I like. The ones I’ve liked so far have been 15 minutes or so that focus on one Chakra. I think it’s worth scanning through some of the hundreds of YouTube meditations out there to see what appeals to you. I think this practice is very personalized, and you need to see what pushes your buttons. It’s much like discussing which fantasies turn me on. Some would love them, some would hate them.

@euphemistic:

I also have been doing something like the microcosmic orbit, essentially by extending and returning my chakra meditation. I go from the root through the crown, and then, keeping the tip of my tongue touching my palate, return it back down, then going through my legs to the soles of my feet.

Discussing tenseness in the stomach also reminds of its corollary: pleasure from the stomach. I am very sensitive to orgasmic sensations now in my lower belly. This seems to be an extension of my nipple play. Even my wife now notices how touching my lower belly sends me through the roof. Ah, it’s the little things in life 🙂

@MostInteresting1:

Love the visual exercises! I’m trying these very soon!

SaddleUp, yes, someone turned me on to the abdomen as a erogenous place and I knew it was a energy center. I've been unable to completely relax though because my abdomen is always tight. I think I store emotional stress there but it's also muscular tightness and pain. Deep massage of my whole abdomen while aroused is loosening up the area with new kinds of sensations. The relaxation seems to last between sessions. I just grab a handful of my belly and move it around while orgasming and rubbing my nipples. The sensations go through my perineum to my ass. It's like nothing I've felt before. Not a orgasm initself. Lucky you that your wife found this center of pleasure!

One side benefit to the Aneros sessions is the realization how tense, tight, and stressed you are and the need to concentrate on relaxation. I've suffered from insomnia for a long time and the emphasis on relaxation needed to fully enjoy the Aneros has translated in a cessation of my insomnia and an overall feeling of peace I never knew possible!

I like Kelly Howell's Ecstasy. This really helps me over the edge. All music, very nice.

I also have Awakening Kundalini by her as well. This has a guided meditation beginning with breathing exercises and then a, "Just music" section. Very nice as well.

yes I found myself relaxing completely for the first time since I can remember last week. It was like I had forgotten how to relax being so used to the everyday stresses. I was in Maine by myself and thinking about relaxing and how difficult it is for me. I did chigung exercises and meditations every day and put attention on my abdomen, the center of my tension. Riding aneros and dildo occasionally of course. And at some point I noticed that something was different, I felt relaxed! That will be my baseline state from now on to compare to my everyday state and know when I'm relaxed or not. Aneros got me started in meditating and still is the most pleasurable form of meditation.

I had a pretty great session last night with my Progasm - first time i've ever felt such strong sensations in my prostate. I was working on relaxing as each wave of pleasure hit instead of tensing up like I used to do - it seemed to work as they kept building.

I'm quite sure that if i'd not just had a traditional orgasm (w. ejaculation) hours before it - i'd probably have had a dry-O or something better. Gonna try holding off on penile orgasms for a while and see if it helps with the intensity of the Aneros sessions.
