then switch to a small one, or vice versa. If you had a helix, a eupho, and a progasm, what order would you use them in?
Majority of people start out with the Helix and then move up to larger devices after a while.. 😀
Depends on your body mass. Helix is a good all round start but I recommend going smaller once you know what sensation you are looking for. Smaller ones move more but delivers slightly less pressure. The result can be more sensations.
Might as well save yourself some time and get a smaller and larger model and try them both. Sometimes I want something larger, sometimes smaller. Other times it's good for me to have a session earlier in the day with a larger model, then go with a smaller model later in the evening. A larger device seems to excite and wake-up things down there allowing me to tune-in to the sensations created with a smaller device, such as the Eupho. Recently I have been using a Ambit dildo (just like I would use an Aneros) and switching to the Eupho Syn after an hour or so; wow, seems to open things up and allow the Eupho to really go to work.
I have been using the High Island Health's Model 950 exclusively now and really enjoy about 2-3 sessions a week. Yes, it is on the rather small side but for me, it produces the sensations that are "just-right", not too intense. I can have an hour-long session and don't have any significant after-effects.
i have a progasm and love the size and firmness big is better for me
Size is depending on experience I think...The Progasm is my favorite now, before it was the Helix...Times are changing...
I'm about 203 cm tall. I use both Helix Classic and Progasm Ice on most sessions. First the Helix, then the Progasm when my sensitivity to Helix drops. I make a point to spend at least 20 minutes exercising with Progasm even if it isn't much pleasure. With Aneros, if you're hitting the spot, you'll never know if the massage develops into something special.
I'm extremely tall, and Helix Classic is absolutely enough for me. The trick is finding the position where you can hit prostate reliably. For me the best one is on my back with legs spread and on something high (for example when I'm lying on floor and my legs are on a chair or bed). With Progasm, I tend to prefer doggy variants.
You may be actually overshooting your prostate. It's not like with penis masturbation that stronger movements are proportionally more pleasurable. If you hit your prostate with much force, you're just going to desensitize it faster. Especially early on in your rewiring progress you want to hit the spot gently, so prostate gets used to it and starts associating it with pleasure. It won't happen on the first session, but on the 2nd, 3rd you can have some nice moaning if you massaged the right spot. I know because my Aneros use is on and off mostly due to lack of privacy and various commitments. I just restarted again.
When you make contact with your prostate, the feeling is best described as "strange". The kind of "what's that?" feeling. Keep hitting it with just enough force to make contact and release muscles. It will get much, much better with time.

Could you please elaborate?

I've never really noticed a strange feeling. Maybe I am overshooting?
By the way I'm not overweight at all in case you're wondering. I used to weigh a little over 70kg back when I trained long distance running in secondary school. Now I'm 95kg and the extra weight is almost all muscle (I'm built like a runner/sportsman, not someone who goes to a gym). Another data point.
English is not my primary language. With overshooting I mean that Aneros might be moving past your prostate actually. It's not terribly deep, but the hard part with Aneros is we can't see inside your butts (maybe it's for the better!) and it makes things hard to describe. Try a bunch of various positions. When you make contact with prostate you will definitely feel some strange touch inside. Distinct feeling of being touched _inside_. You're not looking for "holy shit!". It will develop into that if you keep teasing that initially boring spot.
Positions to try:
- the newbie position from the Aneros manual, on your side with one leg bent
- doggy (try various configurations, hips lower, higher, legs spread, close, far back, near your belly, your bellow low, back arched...)
- kneeling with legs quite apart makes for easy prostate contact for me, but uncomfortable in the long run, and dripping silicone lube is bad news.
- on your back with legs bent at various angles, butt lower or higher (I often put my palms below my back to adjust angle).
The one that consistently DOESN'T work for me is on my belly. When penis is in contact with ground it is too distracting.
Sitting with aneros or watching porn is no fun for me. I also once slept with Helix (dangerous, you can puncture your colon and die) because some people reported heavenly pleasures. But it was nothing special.
I don't think us tall guys need longer Aneros toys, maybe a little bit. Rather, we have more wiggle room inside so position is more important. For this reason Eupho might be harder for tall guys. There's that cavity on the front wall of your... interior that you need to hit with Aneros. The device is shaped in such a way that it tends to angle that way when you constrict Kegel muscles. By the way, apperently Kegel muscles are not VERY important for aneros because I had a very fun session yesterday and my kegels are flabby (33 year old and I abandoned Kegel exercises). You don't need them much stronger than you get as a byproduct of using Aneros. It may help, but it's optional. I'm more interested in reverse kegels, as they are purported to enhance ejaculation and prolong interc...doggy fucking. Back to topic, some guys report doing fine in just about any position, but for me it took a lot of trial and error. You will know you're close when your legs start shaking a bit, uncontrollably. Mind you, it's not the shaking you pursue (I was wrong, see my nickname).
Prolonged prostate massage feels like the feeling just before orgasm, but stronger. Then it becomes a numbing feeling radiating from that spot, for me it first spreads to thighs and belly, later to nipples. When I get up after a session I feel somehow slow and clumsy, and relaxed, like after a sleep. A bit like my legs and arms are not mine.
I'm slightly disappointed with Progasm, I rarely get as good sessions with it. The blunt instrument is quick to make contact, but it's rarely delightful. I think Progasm is called an advanced model for a reason. You not only need stronger Kegels to keep contracting the muscles for some time, you need more control of them because you need to hit prostate just barely or it quickly desensitizes. I imagine it's a bit like girls have with clit, if you lick it for too long or too strong they stop feeling. Anyway, with Progasm you need to be more... careful ? Skilled ? And I feel the range of positions I can use is a lot more limited, it's down to doggy and on my back.
The trick I use is I contract two groups of muscles to make the experience more varied. They say you shouldn't contract your sphincter muscles, but I alternate them with kegels. Or it feels a bit like that. The net result is that aneros inside me moves at two different angles, and my prostate lOVEs that. Generally, during a session, I frequently shift positions slightly to give my dear prostate some variety. When I "run out of juice" in one position, I change.
Last but not least, be careful with enema. I mean a couple of times I had disappointing sessions because I didn't expel all water from my butt. Aneros doesn't work well in watery environment, and it tends to wash away even silicone lube. Before each session I squat in bathroom, insert aneros, pull it out and see if any remaining water comes out. Best done over toilet. So just make sure to get rid of ALL that water.

I know Aneros officially discourage sleeping with it inserted, but in my case given the few weeks since my first adventure, I've noticed no noticeable discomfort or issues (Both Helix & Vice). I don't mind sitting with the Vice (without the Muse) but the Helix can be uncomfortable give the position of the tabs.
Is there any evidence of it causing harm to the ass, and how would you know if no discomfort is felt ?.
Aneros is hard plastic (except Syn). If you make a sudden, unlucky movement - especially when lube dries up - it might puncture colon. I don't think it's worth even the small risk.
