How long did it take for you to start feeling things?

I just got the trident and I've used it three times now.  The first time was only about 10-15 minutes to get a feel for it.  Second was 30 minutes, and earlier today for an hour.  I can insert the device and not feel uncomfortable but I don't feel any pleasant sensations.  I'm using kegels to move the device around but nothing.  I'm honestly not sure I even have it in the right spot or if it's in contact with my prostate.  I've looked at the wiki and followed all the instructions but still nothing.  I realize it will take time but curious how long it took others to start feeling anything pleasurable.  I do feel some sensations (minor discomfort) when moving the device around but otherwise nothing really.

Found some questions that should be answered in the WIKI.

  • What model(s) do you own, use & for how long have you been using them?  [Helix Trident, 2 weeks]
  • What is your level of experience with anal play? [None]
  • How often & how close to a session do you masturbate? [At least 24 hours without masturbation]
  • How often & long are your typical sessions? [Varies, latest 1 hour]
  • Are you able to relax & have undisturbed time for your sessions? [Yes]
  • How is your lubrication applied? [With finger]
  • What type & quanity of lube do you use, internally, externally & on your Aneros?  [Aloe Cadabra natural lube.  Internally, externally and on Aneros.  Completely lubricated.]
  • Do you pre-flush your rectum or enema? [No]
  • What is the duration and intensity of the contractions you use during a typical session? [Varies from light to hard]
  • How often do you end a session with a traditional orgasm? [One in three]
  • Do you have any medical issues that could affect your sexual response? [Don't think so]
  • What forms of physical stimulation do you employ prior to & during a session? [Tried nipples and testicles]
  • What forms of mental stimulation do you employ prior to & during a session? [Watching porn, thinking of fantasies]

i can't recall the amount of time but I would advise when new to it getting the toy inside you and not trying for anything and just get comfortable with it being inside you

once you feel comfortable, and it feels normal, perhaps try some contractions. my experience is that you need to get used to contract your PC muscles / rectal / anus whilst NOT tensing your body or expecting to "cum" (ejaculate) and not force anything if you feel any pulsing - just let it happen and fight your urge to push for it soon

I am already comfortable with it inside.  I feel mostly nothing.  Contracting the muscles doesn't feel like anything unless I really contract and then it's slightly uncomfortable but that's it.  I'm not expecting anything specifically and as I said, I know it takes time.  Just curious about others experiences in time.

Bumped it for you ! So I get from the other thread that you're not further along, and you've been at it for about a month total. Starting from zero anal experience, this is what you can realistically expect. It would be great if things were progressing faster but this is so new to your body that it doesn't know what to make of this strange new device.

Concentrate on what you think is uncomfortable, if it's really actually uncomfortable you'll have to find why and fix it before going further, but it's quite possible that once you focus on it you'll find that the right term is "new and unknown" and it will morph into something pleasurable. What more can you tell us about those sensations ?

12 years. But I was exceptionally hard headed!  If you are slick, and your Aneros is slick, and you are very warm and relaxed, I think you'll get there. Try not doing contractions and just taking slow, deep breaths. Keep doing that and relaxing. On your exhale, bear down a little as if you're pooping, then completely relax at the bottom.

From my personal experience it took many months before I realised I was getting somewhere, years before I was truly rewired. It takes time and patience to progress on this journey.

For me it was a combination of mental and physical training, I have to be in the right headspace, have no distractions or interruptions and be warm and comfortable. lube also plays a major part, find one that works for you and make sure the device has freedom to move internally, also make sure your anus is well lubed up, the passage, not the outside. Then relax and breathe, in through the nose for five seconds, hold for five then exhale through your mouth for five. Hopefully after doing this for half an hour or so you'll start to feel something, it may be very subtle, like a tickle or a dull ache from deep within your groin but this the start, when you feel those gently experiment by teasing out the sensations with small contractions of your PC & sphincter muscles.

Absolutely the worst thing you can do is have super-high expectations, go slow and enjoy the ride.

Trust me if you commit and give it time, its amazing when it does happen.

Keep us all up-to-date!

Appreciate the bump, will continue to give all these suggestions a shot.  I'm not going into the experience expecting anything, but as I said, the complete lack of feeling is what is getting me.  Not knowing if the device is in the right spot or not is especially troublesome.

There's not really a way I can think off that it could be at the "wrong" spot. The only real adjustment you can do it is by moving the skin under the tab a little so the toy tends to be a little further to the front or back, but as soon as the tab slides a little or lose contact, you'll end up in the "natural" position. Don't know if that makes sense ? As long as the P-Tab is centered on the perineum (side-to-side) I wouldn't worry too much about this.

Oh yeah I forgot, if you put some padding under the perineum tab, this will do two things :

1) Increase comfort and avoid irritation if your skin is sensitive

2) Change the pivot point a little, but it won't make a *huge* difference

I always use padding, you can fold a square (or two, or three) of toilet paper until you get the thickness you want and slide it under the tab, you might give this a try and see what happens. Obviously this will remove some of the sensation from the tab so maybe it's not what you need, that's all part of finding what works for you.

One thing for me that is key to a good session is to be comfortable and be free of the worries of the day.

I'm over 50 now, and I find that being comfortable in bed isn't nearly as easy as it used to be. Often times I will think "I'm comfortable" but in reality, the position of my head on the pillow, or my arm or leg isn't laying just right, so my muscles are in a bit of tension.  Finding that SUPER comfortable position, it makes a big difference for me.

Having peace of mind is essential, not worrying about business or other issues going on in life.  If I'm under stress, it may not be the time to have a session. My best sessions are when I can rest my mind and have plenty of time for the session. No worries about when I need to finish, when the wife is coming home, or whatever it might be.

And combining those two, is to relax and let the Aneros do what it's supposed to do.  If you can't feel it, don't worry. It's definitely touching your prostate. Just relax and enjoy the peaceful time with yourself in meditation. Soon, you'll feel those good feelings. When they do finally arrive, focus on them and enjoy them for what they are, not for what you want them to ultimately be (Super O).

As for how long it took me, it's been over 10 years ago and I don't recall exactly how long it took. But I do remember that at first, I also felt nothing. I think it may have been a few months. SO glad I kept at it!

It took me a good 3 - 4 months before I got some good legitimate sensations.  The teaser for me was I had a couple super Os in the very beginning.  I'm now able to have strong prostate Os every session now. This took a year and a half. Be patient & it will happen sooner or later.

I discovered the magic of prostate orgasm with Aneros devices late, after initially rewiring  with Njoy, Lelo and Tantus devices, but I think it’s fair to say it took around three months to really get consistent orgasms, but they have become more intense and constant with each passing month, and continue to do so several years into my journey. I can only say be patient, to say it is well worthwhile is faint praise, it’s absolutely mind bogglingly amazing!

Just realized that I did not answer the question. I got there really quick but had already several years of butt play experience, and could have HFOs and mini-os from hypnosis. So I was 100% convinced that this would work and send me further. I had read the wiki and lurked the forum and I was certain that this was authentic so that certainly helped me.

3 months from the first time you put something up your butt to where you start to "get it" seems quite reasonable to me if you have around 2-3 sessions a week.

@zentai What I mean by in the wrong spot is inside.  I don't know if it is against my prostate as I have minimal to no feeling there.  I only get sensation if I push backwards on the bottom which moves the front forward and I feel like I have to pee, likely cause it is against my bladder.  I've read you're not supposed to push it all the way in from the wiki but again, lack of sensation makes it difficult to know.

Thankfully I've never had discomfort with the p-tab so I've never needed to use anything.

I get you, I was pointing to the fact that the only adjustments you can make are outside, so if you put 1/8 inch padding under the tab, the head of the toy will end up 1/8 lower and more to the front, but that is a pretty small variation to be honest and won't change things that much.

The need to pee you're experiencing is very very likely the Aneros touching your prostate as intended. So that's good. If you pull the toy in with your anal muscle while relaxing your pelvic floor, you should be able to feel the same thing without manipulating the toy with your hands.

You may try this : as you relax your pelvic floor imagine all your organs dropping down a little lower and pushing your prostate against the toy's head, while your anal muscle pull the toy further in. Give this a spin !

@zentai I actually can't feel that sensation unless I push backward with a fair bit of force with my hand.  I'm quite proficient in squeezing my pelvic floor as I've done kegels for a number of years.  I'll try yours and others suggestions next time I get a chance.
