New user here. Tried to helix two times, both times not feeling anything. I don't even know if it touches the prostate. What should I look out for?
Also, I don't have the feeling the helix moves that much..
Any help is appreciated 🙂
Hi there,
Can't help you much from a guy perspective, but just from what I've been reading.. have you pre-lubed so that the Helix can "float" a bit while inside?
Also, have you made sure everything is cleaned out in advance (not to be gross...)
Finally, it seems that carving out a bit of time and doing the breathing exercises really helps. And I know that some guys also like to watch a bit of erotica too... in our situation, my husband and I have a nice jacuzzi together or take a shower, then he uses the Helix for 30 minutes, and then.. well, we have a FANTASTIC time together! These things really work!

You'll know when that spot is touched. You will have a feeling that will stay with you forever. As a great Zen Philosopher ( Chevy Chase) once said, "see the ball, feel the ball, be, be the ball". (or something like that.) Patience is a ...
Hmm.... this is actually a bit of a curiosity for me too...
I think it's important that you're aroused when you insert your aneros (as in, have an erection). My guess is (don't quote me on this) when you have an erection, your prostate is also enlarged, so when you insert your aneros, it imediately gets to work.
How does it feel? The only light I can shed is, when I insert my helix when I don't have an errection, I just feel that there's something up my bum. When I insert it with an errection, there's something else. It feels like my aneros is pressing on something. I'm sorry but that's as specific as I can get.
Oh, and there was one session where I did not put enough lube in and afterwards I felt a bit sore in there. I guess that's where my helix was pressing down on (where my prostate theoretically should be)
Perhaps there would be someone else with more experience who can shed more light on this... I too am wondering whether I'm doing it right....
Phoenix,
Goddess is right on the mark with her suggestions*. The one addressing lubrication is particulary important, as you mentioned that the Aneros was not moving that much for you. The mobility of the Aneros is essential for achieving optimum results from it.
With respect to what prostate stimulation feels like, for many, it initially has the feeling that one normally associates with needing to urinate. This generally subsides into the feeling of nice internal snugness of sorts. When pleasant sensations begin to develop they range from a wonderful tickling inside to a feeling of fullness or imminence (like something's going to happen).
You may also wish to try different body positions such as; kneeling (knees on the floor, your torso on a bed), lying on your side (try both right and left), on all fours, squatting and even standing. Give each of these at least 15 minutes, experimenting with contractions of different intensities. Phoenix, it's really important that you give this more time to develop as well. Not one or two sessions, but a series of sessions over a period of weeks. If you've read the polls on the length of time to the Super O, what you find is that there are some users that get this right away, while others take longer. The sensations that one experiences may be be VERY subtle at first. Be observant and patient and open to everthing. Read my thread B's Best of Beeline for more info. of what to expect.
*Goddess, I've read many of your posts with great interest, and I just wanted to mention how terrific it is to see a lady this involved with her partner. You're obviously one caring lady and he's one lucky guy to have you!
Cheers,
BF Mayfield
For me & it is hard to explain but at first it is like I want too pee or ejaculate. All in the same few seconds followed by a most wonderful feeling going through your whole body & all without even haveing an erection. That is how it feels to me & I think to most as the aneros touches gently on your prostate, heaven on earth. This I get but not a super O yet for me as mentioned in many posts here, my turn will come & so will yours with practice I am sure as I have been so very close to getting there.
phoenix,
Welcome to the Forum.
I was recently corresponding with another member about this subject and related to him that during a medium contraction I estimated stoke movement with my Aneros at approximately 1/8" - 1/4", which is very little actual movement. I also related that while I don't really 'feel' the prostate being stroked in the tactile sense, I know it is occuring when I get the feedback pleasure pulse that seems to emanate from where I know the prostate is located. As 'B. Mayfield' mentioned these are indeed subtle sensations, necessitating mental focus to identify and gentle encouragement to amplify, those are the sensations to which you will want to be attentive.
As has already been mentioned, proper lubing is important to allow the Aneros as much freedom of movemnt as possible and to eliminate any friction that might otherwise lead to soreness (a real pleasure and super-O killer).
If you haven't already done so, I would highly recommend that you also read the Sticky post by B.Mayfield titled "B's Keys to the Backdoor", additionally read the Sticky titled "GLOSSARY" by 'darwin'. There is a wealth of essential information contained within those threads. That information is going to save you a great deal of time during your learning process, plus they will answer a good number of questions you haven't yet formulated.
Good Vibes to You!
Thanks for all the kind replies 🙂
I use lube, it's called "pjur". I use a good amount of it, so I don't think that's the problem.
About the feeling that you're going to pee, I know what you mean. I got that feeling yesterday when I used my hands to guide/push the helix a little bit further inside. So I guess I have to be aroused, else the helix can't reach it(?)
Hi Phoenix,
The prostate gland is located about 2 inches inside the rectum. You can see what it feels like by inserting a well trimmed and lubricated finger into your anus. Insert your finger (I use the middle one) up to about the second knuckle and gently bend it towards the front of your body. You should feel a walnut sized gland there. All of the Aneros models not only reach the prostate, they go just beyond it, some more than others based on their length.
Also, when nearing ejaculation, the prostate gland swells with fluid, but it doesn’t move when you get aroused. If you decide to have an ejaculatory orgasm, this allows the Aneros, your partner’s finger, or your finger to continue stimulation up to the point of ejaculation.
Hope this helps,
Onthepath
