How common are the adverse side effects of aneros use?

Hey all,

I'm just reaching out because while I enjoy using my aneros, I've come across some concerning posts on the aneros forum. People have been complaining of physical pain, uncontrollable a-less orgasms (disrupting sleep and happening at inopportune times), and something strange like kundalini syndrome/psychosis (yikes).

The linked posts are just examples, there are a few more that float around the forum.

Is this common? Is there anything one can do to prevent encountering these issues? There isn't really a clear answer on these matters. But the people that complain of these issues seem adamant that it has impacted their lives for the worse.

I only say so because I have a lot of responsibilities, and I don't want to be distracted or worse because of these issues. I mostly want to use the product after a stressful day or when I have some free time, fyi.

I don't think it's common at all, and the risk of anything major happening "by accident" are really slim to nil (kundalini syndrome awakening).

There are signs, warnings, things too good to be true, maybe some fear. Now if you decide to go ahead anyway, and it's too much to handle, that's on you. I know I was looking for it, but nothing forced me to continue when things got weird.

Knowing that it can happen and getting informed is the best you can do. Acknowledging that things like Kundalini syndrome are real and not crazy old monk tales will go a long way.

I don't think there's a reason to stress about this, if it really concerns you I'll be happy to give more info, but that's pretty personal stuff, sorry if it seems somewhat vague...

Edit : to be a little clearer I experienced textbook kundalini awakening, but it didn't evolve into kundalini syndrome. It was a wonderful thing but following that, I was very aggressive with session frequency and duration and could never get enough, things ended in some kind of orgasm burn-out. I did this to myself, it did not sneak up on me. I don't think I'd be able to replicate the circumstances that allowed this to happen, so I'm not worried about a repeat of this "experience".

First, welcome to this forum!

Do not worry about any of the issues you're referring to. If such issues were expressed often by members, you might have cause of concern but they are the exceptions. I've been here since Jan 2016 and have read pretty well everything on this forum.

Concider the positive experiences but most importantly, build your own; everybody's different.

This new experience, if done right, should not hinder your busy schedule but rather complement it with pleasures you never experienced before.

Good luck and good vibes to you.

G

You forgot to mention addiction! I have encountered a few problems along the way, but I enjoy the practice and want to keep enjoying it. Be careful with an original MGX...the tab can cause soreness, pain, or in my case from over doing it, a blister that I had to be very careful to let heal.

You may make great progress, even a super-O, and then encounter dry spells that can really let you down if you don't just accept it for what it is and move on.

A-less rumblings turning up at odd times can be fun if you let it be...and when I was having them after my first superO I found that breathing and bearing down helped to slow or stop them, but I really didn't want to stop!

Very uncommon. Consider the thousands of people who have used the toys. The ones with problems speak up, and loudly. Amongst those with no problems, most never even make an account or post. So already the small amount of negative posts disproportionately represent the occurrence of negative effects.

Also all activities have hasards. Consider those of normal sex: STDs, addiction, emotional pain, physical injury (snapped cock, ripped membranes), women risk UTIs and even cervical cancer (the latter in the case of unchecked chlamydia or HPV I believe), and... pregnancy! Done with sex yet? Nope? Me neither.

@regal13

you are right about the mgx the tab is bigger harder than one needs , I have found after just laying down in bed or walking around with it in you, it will get sore ,it would be nice to have less of a tab and have one you could sit with , and grind on it , other butt plugs are made for the office types who have to seat all day ,and enjoy sitting on a plug ,makes the day go by.

@oldfart I just wish the MGX tab was spherical shaped. I have had it draw blood from rubbing a blister! I have not had involuntaries that strong since, but I guess I have better control now and that's not a problem now.
