Go on a diet mate. The part they don’t tell you about trt is that your total testosterone will go up,and it’ll drag your oestrogen up to,but if your really heavy, your bio available testosterone will still be low due to excessive aromatisation, and bio available is the part with all the benefits. Most likely why you don’t feel any different. There are those that have actually counselled against giving trt to overweight guys but it is what it is. Making lifestyle changes is a must if you want to get the most out of your trt. Get on a diet and start exercising. As the weight comes off, you’ll feel better and better, trust me.

I struggle to lose weight because of low T. And no gym gains.
Sometimes we have to just get exogenous T. Also, I'm on gels and people say the gels are not that good.
Don’t start that. You can lose weight with a negative energy balance, low T or not. Start tracking what you eat, reading labels, weighing food. Get yourself on 3000 kcal a day for 3 weeks weighing yourself each week, this will allow your to account for water and glycogen fluctuations. You’ll likely see some big losses because you’re big,but that’ll slow down. Start walking everyday 30mins and/or going to the gym and get on a proper beginner program like 5x5. As weight loss slows, you can work your way down to around 2300 kcals, after that, you might need to gain a little weight to fight of adaptation and then start dieting again. I don’t know if your dr told you this, but the shape you’re in is why you have low T unless you’ve been diagnosed with primary hypogonadism. What’s you’re gel dosage?

What!!! 3000 a day is way way more than what I eat!
I already do gym.
Why do you not think it's Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals? Doesn't just have to be high aromatisation from too much fat.
On about 60mg/day.

You can get AI for that.
Docs didn't say anything about my E2 being high (although I can see it is higher than it should be). I will see if they proscribe an AI. Total testosterone levels are still way way below "normal" range (which is average range, for all ages, so even the bottom of the pile is still low!), this to me suggests a problem with skin absorbing the gel.
Well, unless you’ve a brilliant doc, they don’t usually test male oestrogen in the U.K. unless you go private. Again, aromatase inhibitors are generally cancer patients drugs and virtually impossible to get prescribed as part of a trt protocol in the U.K. They are very powerful drugs, and as bad as high oestrogen may be,tanking oestrogen is worse lol. With no oestrogen, you’ll feel so bad you’ll wish you were dead. Americans get whatever because of their health insurance set up which is pretty much private medical care. The U.K. is definitely behind is trt. All I’m saying is,you need to start putting some work in,trt isn’t a magic pill that just changes your whole life with no effort from you, you’re already on it 2 mths and no changes.
@lonewolf8 Great question. I actually have not had a Super since I began treatment...but those are pretty uncommon for me anyway. But, damn, the power of the orgasms using the aneros are pretty insane.
Take this for what you will. I was never obese, but probably about 30 lbs overweight. Somewhere along the way, I saw an ad online for "Cool Sculpting" and it was in relation to fat reduction. I tried to find out more about it, and the clinics that offered it were somewhat vague in their descriptions of the process. Finally, some digging revealed that a couple of Harvard scientists discovered that the reason some kids had dimples in their cheeks was because when they got a popsicle, they parked the point in the cheek. Seems the cold destroys the fat, but not the skin and muscle tissue. Someone with some foresight thought, 'if it works in the cheek, it could work other places too'. Thus began "Cool Sculpting". The clinics have a computer controlled device that apparently circulates cold fluid around your gut or other area.
I saw where someone had used ice in a Ziploc bag on half of his gut (he was pretty lean to begin with) and it did result in fat loss. I did it myself - large Ziploc bag, and ice cubes to make a single layer inside. Put towel down on the bed first, then Ziploc, doffed the shirt and lay down - skin directly on Ziploc bag for 1 hour. I repeated this about once per week. Around the 2 month mark, I felt my pants were getting looser (I took a 35" waist then) and I felt a little slimmer, but thought I must be imagining it (it takes 2 months before you see anything because it takes the body that long to dispose of the fat that has been destroyed). Over the course of ~ 10 months or so, I reduced to size 30" - the same size I was in high school (I'm 59 now). I also try to keep my eating to a 10 - 12 hour window. I eat a lot of good fats - nuts, avocados and even cheese, but I don't eat much in the way of sugar. I eat a fair bit of pasta, but we use the "Smart" pasta that's got fibre (but not whole wheat) but it's unbleached white.
Add to that walking for about an hour every evening, Aneros sessions, too brief weekly sessions at the gym, and I've stayed there.
It should be obvious that I'm not selling anything - you can make the ice yourself! In rare cases (Linda Evangelista was one) some have had reactions where the fat did not resolve as expected. But inasmuch as you're not a supermodel (and the article didn't specify where she had the procedure used - I'm thinking maybe double chin or something) what've you got to lose? Getting rid of the fat (from cold destruction) rather than just shrinking it through dieting where it waits to reinflate - has great advantages: higher testosterone, reduced estrogen, reduced inflammatory processes, less work for the heart (every pound of fat = 100 miles of blood vessels to supply it)... the list goes on, but it's all pluses!
