There has been a continuing discussion on the Forum about lubrication types and issues. I recommend you first read the Lubrication paragraph in the Getting Started chapter of the Aneros WIKI and then read through the “Bestlube..." thread for additional information and insight into this topic.

KY Jelly contains glycerin. Glycerin is known to have a laxative effect on many individuals. While it is possible you may have injected yourself with contaminated material, I think it is more likely you are developing a sensitivity to the glycerin component of KY Jelly. I would suggest you switch to an alternate lubrication compound which does NOT contain glycerin. After reading the above referenced threads, I'm sure you will be able to find a suitable alternative.

Tomasheen - I had an identical problem. The Aqua Glide lubricant that Love Honey suggested didn't work for me and left me shitting and farting like mad! rumel gives good advice when he says try changing your lubricant. One thing I found is that a lot of the lubes are not readily available in the UK. At the moment I'm using Durex Play massage and lubricant. When that's finished I think I'm going to try Maximus. Both these lubes are glycerine free.

I have used Maximus lube, it's manufactured in the UK and I can highly recommend it. It is glycerin free.

There's also Slippery Stuff Gel, it's supposed to be the safest anal lube that was actually tested; but it's very thick.

I tried several types of lube, but have found Maximus to be the best so far.

Thank you enigma. Very good advice. Have had problems with wind,runs and some abdominal pain. Tried KY, then Almond oil. Now I have just received Maximus and will give it a try. Not enough lube can cause soreness and I get that too. Off to try the Maximus. Bye bye for now!! Tomasheen.

Yes! I got the Maximus and it is just great. I add a very small few drops of water, and two pump pushes is sufficient. No more runs and very little wind. Lovehoney has an excellent delivery service. Maximus is only £9.99 in the UK.
