I have tried the Helix six or seven times so far. With each practice session, I discover a few new sensations. Still, I'm not anywhere near achieving the involuntaries or the Super "O." I have, on a couple of occasions, experienced a very intense ejaculation without any penile stimulation. But alas, I know that this is not the object of my desire.
I have a few questions for any successful guys who might have the time to answer.
1. I seem to be most relaxed on my back with my knees bent or on my stomach lying flat. I can achieve movement of the Helix keeping my hips perfectly still, but there are times when I want to move my hips, which seems to contribute to the Helix's movement within me. Should I rely solely on the Helix's movement through contractions, or is this hip movement ok?
2. It appears there are four different kinds of contractions. The easiest for me to perform is the Kegel. However, I've seen recommendations to do a rectal contraction simulatenously or an anal contraction simultaneously with a rectal contraction. I can't seem to even figure out how to combine a Kegel with a rectal contraction or an anal contraction with a rectal contraction. Doing one (to me) seems to make it impossible to do the other simultaneously. Any suggestions? Also, any suggestions on the length of contractions and how contractions might interact with breathing would be appreciated.
3. Thus far, I never get an erection while using the Helix (even when I enjaculated -- which was achieved without penis stimulation). My assumption is that this is just fine. Am I right? Am I correct in thinking that I'm to focus more on what's happening around the anus, prostate, abdominal muscles than on what's happening with the penis?
4. People talk about breathing from the diaphragm. I guess I really don't understand what breathing from the diaphragm is. Can anyone explain? How important do those who have been succesful thinking breathing is as part of the overall experience. Any breathing tips would be appreciated.
I should wrap this up by saying I'm not anxious about any of this. I'm willing to practice as much as is required and take a rather laid-back approach. I think the concept of being able to create sheer sexual bliss for oneself is such a cool idea, it's what motivates me to keep going. I love the concept of exploring the inner reaches of my body and sexuality.
There are times I think I might benefit by actaully watching someone experience the super O using Aneros -- seeing what they do to reach the climax, etc., but my hunch is that most everything is internal, and I wouldn't learn that much from the visual. Do you guys tend to agree?
The most important thing is too hang in there. Follow the signals your body gives you. Do what feels good to you. Some people get strong involuntaries, some people don't. Some people ooze precum, some people don't. There is no formula, we are all different, so play and have fun, and you will get there. You sort of just have to let it happen. It will sneak up on you, and when it does... oh boy! Just try not too think about it too much.
Enjoy the ride

Yukonbob...(great username),
Some answers:
1). Rocking one's hips is fine.....assuming that you're not grinding your penis against something while you're doing it. Again, you want to avoid penile contact while exploring the Super O. Some users enjoy this practice and have found it very useful, while others have not. It's a personal preference.
2) A rectal contraction is that "bearing down" (pushing out) contraction that one senses when you're having a bowel movement. An anal contraction is the "drawing in" contraction that one uses to stop the passage of a BM or intestinal gas. A PC contraction is a bit more subtle than the other two, but it's the one that is used to stop the flow of urine. Many people confuse the PC contraction with an anal contraction. For some the two are seemingly indistinguishable as a quick strong PC contraction can often initiate an anal contraction as well (the muscles run collaterally to some extent).
In terms of how to execute an anal and rectal simultaneously....try starting with anal contraction...say of moderate intensity....then, while holding ....bear down on it! What you'll percieve is that you have an anal contraction with a whole group of abdominal muscles engaged at the same time. This can be powerful when used during the course of a session. Understand that I've never suggested it as a technique to be used continuously, rather something that is used at key times during a session to kick up the intensity.
In terms of the length and intensity of all contractions, this is where "self-discovery" comes in. This varies from one individual to the next. There are many suggestions on this throughout the forum. Generally I'd say develop your own capabilites with these different kinds of contractions then go out and experiment with them. Instead of following ANY prescription on time and intensity rigorously.....let sensation be your guide....FOLLOW THE SENSATIONS.
3. Right on all counts. Focus in the sensations inside......and your penis will follow...lol.
4. Breathing is without a doubt a key to the experience. Part of this is really about experiencing sensation deep into your lower diaphragm the site of your second chakra. Experiment with breathing in and really allow those muscles of the lower diaphragm expand. You'll find it's possible to expand this area and hold the expansion while maintaining your breathing. Visualize breathing INTO this area. This is both a physical and mental exercise that has the potential of "heating things up" energetically .
Lastly, with respect to a video of a Super O.....I think you have this one right! The experience is essentially an internal one. I've written on this extensively in the past. Nonetheless that hasn't stopped user curiosity on this. For some, I believe they just want to make sure that it's for real. Unfortunately, there's no way of determining this from a video...this is after all a "non-ejaculatory" event. So this could be faked in the same way that countless X rated starletts have done for decades. Others, I suspect, are into this for titillation.....
Cheers,
BF Mayfield
Thanks so much for the practical explanations. I really appreciate it!
