HFO vs. Super O progress - is it a choice?

Hey all - two sessions ago I had one of my best for a multitude of reasons. It ended with a HFO (wet) where my aneros was making small movements and I felt the swelling up of p-waves as I was building on, however, my dick got rock hard and then the aneros kept hitting and I came. Of course this was really nice, but I actually wasn't planning an HFO. I was grateful, but my session was for sure over. I was just curious for those who have had super-os and HFOs, is this a choice? Like, did I somehow do something that caused it to go the route of the HFO vs. continuing to build on super-o progress?

I want to repeat I was very happy with the session, I was not frustrated or judgmental or anything - I am just genuinely curious because it felt like I was doing really well and then it kind of just ended 😀

Awesome!

In my experience, you can stop it from happening or try to redirect it, but then it's a gamble : On one hand, a HFWO which is super awesome on it's own, OR the chance for something else, that might just be a ramp down and no orgasm. Do you feel lucky ? If you did something that put you on this route, it might have been something you did at the beginning of the session, and you can't just go back in time and adjust that.

Try this other angle : it's not one OR the other, why not both. It's quite possible to get your ejaculatory orgasm, ride the somewhat uncomfortable part of refractory period until the pleasure ramps up again, and then get continue into mini-Os or even a super-o, which are not governed by the refractory period. It's all in your head, next time it happens just relax into the feeling and beleive it can work, see what happens. Take care!

I am assuming when you're using the acronym HFO you really mean a HFWO (Hands Free Wet Orgasm). A Super-O is an Aneros induced HFO. Interesting question and I don't really have an answer since I have never had a HFWO while using any of my Aneros models. I have been able to accomplish an occasional prostate milking but haven't had a Hands Free ejaculatory orgasm. My intuition tells me this is not a conscious choice but more a matter of how we are individually 'wired'. I suspect there is a subconscious preference/intent involved.

I don't know. Over the 13 years I've been here there have been numerous discussions about the curse or blessing of having HFWO's. You might find reading some of those threads helpful.

Avoiding Ejaculation ->How to avoid ejaculation?, How to avoid handsfree wet orgasms , Avoiding ejaculation during orgasm? , Hands free ejaculation being an obstacle & Cumming while lying face down

How to have a HFWO -> Just can't achieve a "hands free" orgasm, Finally a hands-free orgasm! & Achieving hands-free ejaculation...continued

Good Vibes to You!

I think you're right that there is preferred or maybe pre-wired path that will pull you more strongly towards one result VS the other (dry or wet), depending on individuals. The links you provided are a good reminder that the grass always seems greener on the other side, wet or dry, involuntaries or not, legs shakes or no shakes... I don't think we'll ever get to the end of it.

One guess I can take is that a wet orgasm will happen when a session is generating feelings that are close to the ones you would experience during sex or traditional masturbation, and the body just reacts the way it's programmed too. Keeping arousal in check could reduce the chance of ejaculation, but this is easier said than done... Frankly most times it's easier to just let things go and enjoy your prize.

What I would give for a HFWO at this point. I've been making some progress but still nothing earth shattering. Still enjoying the ride though!

Most definitely a choice. I’ve started to become aware when certain movements will lead to ejacualtion and I change contraction areas and speed/power. I can therefore stave off the ejaculation. There have been times I’ve thought to hell with it and let it happen. It is nice,the ejaculation seems to go on and on,but of course it’s seldom the goal lol
