Hello, this is Wuggums47 here, and I do not currently own any Aneros products. I would like some help picking out a device that would be right for me. I am a heavyset man. I have never stimulated my prostate before, but am not entirely new to anal play. I don't own any toys, so the aneros would be my first. The closest I have to a sex toy is an old hairbrush handle(I'm really cheap). For me the main reason I want to use the aneros is because of the Meditative tantric nature of the product. Ever since I was a teenager, my sexuality has always had many spiritual aspects to it. My first wet dream as a kid was very strange and enigmatic. I remember that in the dream rather than seeing others bodies, It was more of a Journey type feeling to it. It started with me walking into a music store, and then stumbling apon a hidden room. Within the room music was playing, but it was unlike all other music in that I could feel my body move an vibrate along with it, as well as my soul. The room had many paths going in every direction, and after wandering through the paths for a long time, I came upon a room. I could feel the difference as I approached it, Within the room was the music of euphoria, With an intensely loud yet soft beat. At first being a kid the dream confused me, but later in puberty this all came together and I understood it as an orgasm. Reading through this website Reminded me of this dream, with all of the intensity that people hear experience, after training themselves.

I suppose while righting this I got a bit far from my point, but I was wondering what model to buy, that will be ok for a beginner, but I can continue to use even as an advanced user. I thought the helix sounded promising, but would like some second opinions. Thanks in advanced - Wuggums.

Hi Wuggums47 ,

Welcome to the Aneros Forums, your best source of information for learning about the multiple benefits and joys of using the Aneros prostate massagers. In regard to choosing a first Aneros model, I recommend that you first read the following : Selection Guide from the Aneros Learning Center pages, "Choosing a Model" from the WIKI and “Which model is best for new users?” from the Community Polls Forum. For additional information and reviews, you may wish to read the Sticky: Aneros Products Reviewed. Typically, I recommend either the Helix or the MGX models for beginners. Incidentally, if you purchase either the SGX or MGX model through this website you are eligible for the 90-day, 100% money-back guarantee. Bigger is not necessarily better, the saying "Good things come in small packages." is particularly applicable to the Peridise model, but then it is not a prostate massager.

P.S. I sent you an introductory PM with some additional hints and tips to get you started here.

Hello, Wuggums.

Rumel has referenced enough reading material to keep you busy for years and it's all relevant.

I strongly suggest you go with one of the 100% money-back guaranteed models, MGX most likely. I say that because there is an unknown percentage of men who never can "get it" with Aneros. That's very frustrating for them and even more so when they bought a model with no guarantee or from a retailer other than this website.

Good luck to you whichever way you go,

Dave

I personally would recommend the Helix. My original MGX didn't do all that much for me--it was good, but not that good. With the Helix I can safely say I made a worthwhile purchase. However, especially when it comes to Aneros, it's different strokes for different folks, and so going with a money-back model gives you the option of sticking with the MGX or SGX if you're satisfied or going to something bigger if they're not doing it for you. With my recent purchase of the Vice, I've really gotten a sense of where my prostate really is in relation to each massager, and the Helix is the closest fit for me (I could do with something slightly longer I think, but the Helix is pretty damn good.) You'll hear most people say that for someone inexperienced in anal play, the Helix, SGX, or MGX are the best options.
