Hi all,
Long term Aneros user and lurker on this forum. I just wanted to report an issue that I've been having for a few months now with my Helix Syn V which I purchased a few years ago. Lately, it's been switching itself on and off and the issue seems to suggest some sort of wiring/connection issue internally. When I lightly flick the device, it will suddenly come to life again. Even when it stops vibrating, it seems that it's only the electrics to the motor that are being affected as the light indicator is still working.
Has anyone else had this problem? Quite frankly I am disappointed that it is broken like this as I expected better quality from Aneros, especially given the price. I'm also reluctant to purchase a new one as who knows if they've fixed the fault.
Is this a known issue and is Aneros replacing any of the affected units?
Any help would be appreciated!
Have had mine for over a year without any issues. Does your battery charge ok? Make sure the contacts are clean when you put it into the charging cradle. Mine will switch off when the battery is low on charge. Hopefully it’s an intermittent problem and will heal itself. If it has moisture inside so you try drying it on very low heat!
Hello, Thanks for the reply. It's not a charging issue. The battery and charging is fine. Once the connection is working, the device works without any issue. It's just that when the electrical contact is broken, you need to tap it to make it work again. I imagine this will eventually get worse over time and it won't work at all. It's also unusable if it disconnects during use.
