I have read in a few posts about some enhanced sensations when warming up the aneros before/during a session.

I am curious how others may be accomplishing this.

Lately, before the session I wash my progasm and then let it sit under some hot water while I prep my area. This seems to work but only seems to warm the outside and the heat usually dissipates before I get started.

Is it detrimental to the aneros to place it in a cup of hot water for several minutes? I planned on using a candy thermometer to make sure I know the temp of the water as to not harm myself.....but how hot is too hot for in there?

Thanks all!

Constantdripper,

Your Aneros device can safely withstand washing in a dishwasher where water temperatures can reach 165 deg. F.
Most domestic water heaters produce hot water in the 120-140 deg. F. range.

Average human threshold to thermal pain on the skin is approximately 115 deg. F. (interestingly your mouth can sustain temperatures 5-10 deg. higher).

The Aneros plastic, being an insulator, will likely need sustained time to obtain a uniform temperature throughout,
running under hot water for only a few minutes may be insufficient to warm it to the core.

Here’s a technique that I’ve tested : pour boiling water into a coffee mug, let your Aneros hang off the rim in the hot water for approximately 5-6 minutes, take it out, and let it set on a towel, WAIT 1 minute, then hold against the inside of your wrist with it. If it feels too hot wait another minute and test again. When it reaches a comfortable warm temperature against your wrist it will feel soothingly warm in your rectum.
Having the lube suitably warmed also enhances the experience. Enjoy and please don’t burn your asshole, that can just ruin your day!

I had expected that method would work. I wanted to get an idea of what the progasm could handle without melting it (or me!).

I look forward to trying this out.

I place my helix in a bowl of normal hot water that comes out of the faucet and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. I also take the lube and set in the water. All is nice and warm. It seems to help get the contractions going earlier.

I have read about the dangers of using plastic containers with food in the microwave because of bisphenol A (BPA) and other chemicals. I wonder if this would apply to the Aneros as well?

I use an electric blanket (30cmx30cm) and let the syringe and progasm stay under the blancket for 30 minutes.
