I'm relatively new to the aneros I have the original and a Helix Syn which I find very comfortable however when it comes time to take it out I have a difficult and sometimes painful experience. Any suggestions?

What lube do you use?
The wrong lube is usually the problem.

@ballford,

Try using unrefined shea butter! It's the best thing going.

It might also be that you are rushing things. Try removing the tool veery slowly while you body becomes accustomed to the feelings involved.

@ballford, are albolene and ID lube oil or water based. This is about the lube part suggestion. Some folk find water based lubes are problematic. You could experiment with olive oil (it may stain) or sweet almond oil (usually clear) or coat the Aneros with Vaseline and use a water based lube. If these make the removal easier then as Pommie suggests UNREFINED Shea Butter or mix up beeswax with one of the oils to thicken it to stop it leaking may solve the problem. (Search for Natural Jelly in the forum) I can go all night on SB or an oil based lube and it is still slippery in the morning.

Tie a string to the Aneros and the other end to a door handle. Step 2 slam door.
OK, not helpful.
Seriously though, whenever I have experienced any discomfort on removal it was because of the lube drying out or being fully absorbed or however it happened it was a lack of lubrication. It was a feeling of the lining of the rectum adhering to the Aneros. Very unpleasant.
I'm switching to unrefined shea butter very soon.

I usually remove it standing up or lying down It's also possible I'm not relaxing enough, I will try Shea butter. I'm assuming you can buy it at a drugstore.

You'll have better luck finding Unrefined Shea Butter at a health food store than at a grocery store or drug store. It's also available online. Coat the Aneros with shea butter and then some lube and when it's time to remove it go slow and you'll be fine.

Probably standing up to remove the aneros is making the anal muscles tight. Lying down is better since you can control them. I lie on my side in fetal position with the top knee bent and holding it so I'm not using my leg muscles. Then slowly pull out and push out like making a BM.

I vote for coconut oil over shea butter as it is easier to inject with a syringe, solid at room temperature, but melts inside. Both shea butter and coconut oil are tricky to get in but both are very thick oils and don't dry out quickly. Avocado oil is the thickest of the liquid oils and it's easy to inject.

Hope everything comes out good for you. :))

If your Aneros is dry when it comes out, you aren't using enough lube. In addition to the lube changes suggested, try pushing it out, instead of pulling. That can actually be a pleasurable experience by itself ^^

Also I think it helps if you're still aroused when you take it out. Do it slowly and enjoy it!

Like @euphemistic says, do it slowly. Before I hit my dry spell, I really enjoyed pushing the Aneros almost all the way out, then holding it there with my hand for a couple seconds. Sometimes putting it back in and doing it again before I'd actually take it out.

I do think standing up is the wrong way to go, I,ll try it lying on my side pushing out. I ordered some Shea butter today is coconut oil readily available too? Avocado oil I just saw at costco. Might be better than just for cooking.

I am able to take it in and out when I first start with ease but it just seems like after awhile it's gets tougher although now that I think about it I was lying down

@ballford. Yeah, standing makes you clench subconsciously. Coconut oil should be available in any store. I was surprised to find some in the discount food store here, so I've been stocking up. If you have a Fleshlight, coconut oil is great for that too.

That makes sense about standing. Do you inject the coconut oil and if so how much?

One easy way to "inject" is to melt either pure shea or a mix of Shea and coconut and use a wide straw as a mold. Freeze the straw then push the lube out and cut into suppositories. Pure Shea suppositories will hold shape at room temperature. The coconut/Shea mix has to be kept in freezer until use. Use a little on your device and insert a chunk and you will be good for hours.

@ballford I personally don't inject it. I've been mixing Shea and Coconut and making lube cubes in one of these ice cube trays http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008ML0YVE/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They're the perfect size and shape for the job. That should work for pure coconut too.

You can just melt it and use a medicine syringe or a "lube shooter" to inject about 4 or 5ml while it's liquid. NOT HOT lol. But I prefer making cubes.

I personally squat over the toilet, with the exposed end wrapped in t.p. (due to external lube), and t.p. in the other hand to wipe it (somewhat) clean, and with a slow pull, gently push out like you're passing a turd. By standing over the toilet, if something unexpected shoots out, at least it's in the toilet. While I'm setting on the toilet, pushing out pent-up gas or such, the Aneros is in the sink, with hot water running over it. When done on the toilet, I soap up my hands and wash the Aneros thoroughly.

By the way, I use Slippery Stuff Gel injected, and Un-Petroleum Jelly on the Aneros, or Vaseline.

@euphemistic,Off topic I know and not wishing to be picky, but I don't think shea butter is an oil.

I have used oils in the past and always found that they leak past the sphincters when in use. The result is that oils leave a stain outside, requiring the use of a towel or some such to catch the leakage.

What has moved me to shea butter is that it doesn't behave that way as there is no leakage.

Also, shea butter is easier to clean up and requires little soap to remove it in water. Both oils and Vaseline require a fair amount of soap to clean them up.

@Pommie
Off topic, but reason why Shea Butter is helpful - you eat it if hungry , I'll pass on that!
Shea butter is an off- white or ivory-colored fat extracted from the nut of the African shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa).[1] Shea butter is a triglyceride (fat) derived mainly from stearic acid and oleic acid. It is widely used in cosmetics as a moisturizer, salve or lotion. Shea butter is edible and is used in food preparation in Africa and also as a prophylactic.[2] Occasionally the chocolate industry uses shea butter mixed with other oils as a substitute for cocoa butter, although the taste is noticeably different.

@ineverknew Yeah, I've tried looking for the prophylactic qualities of coconut oil myself and I haven't found anything useful. Just one quote, and it didn't say anything useful.

@Badger I wouldn't take capsules, but coconut oil, or any unrefined oil in cooking is good for you. Don't trust the FDA
