I think everyone should use a finger every now and again to get a better understanding of where everything is.One of the main reason i rarely used a finger was i couldn't get a conformable position without cramping my hand. Im also a mild germaphobe, so that doesnt help. Although i guess you could use a glove or condom.
Well, i`ll get straight to it. Prep yourself just like you would when using the aneros. Now insert your middle finger, go from the front of the body not behind. Now sit down on your hand, use a padded seat/bed/sofa. keep you hand flat, dont make a fist (unless you find that you like it). Thats it, its very comfortable and gives you alot of reach.Let me know if you need a better description, they're different placements of the thumb you can use but hard to describe, it should be intuitive. You wont be disappointed.
i was searching for an image to give you an idea, i now call this method the "jackson"
while were on the topic, what kind of gloves would be good to use? concerns are oil eating the glove and toxicity of the material itself. Also, how sanitary are the gloves?
I just do it with the middle finger while sitting on the throne. I don't know if it is possible to go any deeper than that in another position. I just use gloves i buy at any store that carries them. Doctors use them to check ur prostate. i use a little lube so it slides in easier.
Legace,
I too recommend engaging one's prostate frontally as you have described, but I much prefer using the thumb. The pad of one's thumb has a great deal more surface area than one's middle finger. Furthermore, the distal joint of the thumb hinges almost to 90 degree angle, independently of the rest of the digit. This allows for more control and a better massage than the middle finger. In addition, when you fully insert your thumb, the web (the tissue between your thumb and forefinger) fits the contours of one's perianal architecture almost like a glove (lol). On account of this, the thumb method is more comfortable to execute. Lastly, although one might think that the middle finger penetrates further, the effective length is diminished by fingers on either side. IMO, the thumbs the thing.
Thumbs up!!

how do you massage with the pad of the thumb, if you insert from the front it would seem that the pad of your thumb is facing the wrong direction.
You have a longer thumb than I do...
While on your side, reach in back and insert your thumb into your anus. Push forward and upward and the pad of the thumb will engage your prostate. This can also be accomplished in a squatting position as well, but it is not as comfortable and it is difficult to maintain. My thumb is approximately 3.25 inches from the tip to the web and I have no problem reaching my prostate in this way.
Having re-read your post, forgive me, as I misunderstood your reference to "frontal". I thought you were referring to the orientation of the digit inside the body, i.e. the pad of the finger or the thumb facing the front of the body.

During my 3+ year aneros journey, I've come to thoroughly appreciate each new side road of discovery! Thanks mayfield for the thumbing suggestion. I tried it both last night and early this morning --- for some reason I never tried this technique before. My hour long session this morning was VERY enjoyable indeed! One of the intriguing aspects was the ability to feel my pulse from several contact areas within my anus against my prostate. Lying on my side proved quite comfortable; and, sure enough, thumbing resulted in some amazing responses --- reaccurring super O's amongst them. I'm certainly going to explore this gem for some time to come!!! Thanks again.
Do ya'll do this with glove or condom or bareback? Hee, hee! i'm serious.
Left or right hand?
Last night I tried thumbing with both hands, bareback and washed thouroughly afterwards. I found that each thumb gave different angles and therefore different sensations. Experiment and find what works best for you.
I've used the gloved and bareback methods, I'm right-handed so I tend to be more dexterous with that approach. Indeed, it is possible to feel your pulse in several areas using your thumb. Again, the pad of ones thumb provides approximately 30-40% more surface area. This makes it uniquely suited to the task not only in the delivery of the massage, but also as a sensory appendage. For instance, using this method it is possible to feel ones prostate engorge and swell just prior to ejaculation. This is a terrific method for initiating a Super-T, that provides aninternal perspective simultaneous with what one is doing externally (penile stimulation). If you're interested in having first hand knowledge on how your body works....give this a try.

Tried this last night--definitely worth exploring.
Did a little more exploration with it myself last night and found out that it was possible to sit on my hand as well. This made for some amazing grinding action, with the added bonus that I could move my thumb to engage my prostate and my body's thrusting.
Like I said before......THUMBS UP! 😉

p.s. One last point for those that might have difficulty with this maneuver. If you're doing this on your side, when your thumb is inserted the rest of your fingers can grab your leg and use it to anchor your hand. Having done this you will find that you can go for a deeper penetration (remember the web of your hand can be compressed making your thumb a little longer).
I don't think I can reach even sitting on the middle finger as explained above. I don't seem to be feeling anything. I can feel a bone running across, assuming the prostate is past that bone? But how far? I can reach a small ways past the bone, but don't think I'm touching it.
And I think I have pretty average size fingers by the way.
JRS7Notice that the thumb is recommended rather than middle finger. Are you feeling toward your front, i.e. toward cock, or back?
Toward front, just don't think i'm deep enough maybe.
JRS7,
Try squatting, it's not as comfortable and it's difficult to sustain for long periods of time, but it may provide you with a little bit better penetration. Remember, when your thumb is properly inserted, if you hold your hand straight... your fingers should be facing away from your body.

Maybe that's where the term, "sitting around with your thumb up your ass", came from, huh?
i can reach my prostate with my first finger by placing my foot on the bathroom sink, bending forward and sliding my finger up towards the front wall of my body. I can do a 'milking' this way without much strain on the muscles
Great discussion and experimenting men!! Thanks legace for starting our balls rolling on this artful play area!!
I have believed in the importance and great benefits of "first hand knowledge" of one's anus, rectum, prostate and more in there for decades!!! The root/bulb of your penis is another great play area for example!!
Thanks BF Mayfield for the "THUMBS UP!!" too!! I have longer than average arms and long fingers and get great "reach in" and contact with my middle and/or index finger(s) ever since the first inward voyage at age 13!! My wife is fascinated by all the varied forms of activities, energies, pulses, twitches and on and on inside my Ecstatic Energies Canal now too as she fingers my prostate often!!!
So, I will join you STARR831, and all others, in exploring these added Thumbs Up techniques and manual EEC joys ass well!!

I don't know why I never thought of using a thumb, but I gave it a try and wow. It's almost like using an aneros, but with more feedback. I'm definitely going to be exploring this more.
I'm still not getting this, the positions seem less than ideal as described here.
