Font size and style in forum

Dearest @aneros-team,

I appreciate ever so much all you have done for me. You have taught me that less is more, that smaller is better, that the tiniest dogs bark the most.  However while this holds true for my anus, my other brown eyes (actually hazel) disagree with the aforementioned maxims.  And so, as an enthusiastic reader of and contributor to this forum, I beg of you to change the font used in posts. It is too thin, appearing almost gray, and it is taxing on my vision.

Note that I use an an iPhone 7s running OS 12.1.4 and I view the site in safari.

Thanks!

I'll second that. What @divine_oblivion said.

Ditto... need a standard font, not something fancy or stylish.  At least it's not italic now, like it was after the forum software change, so at least that's an improvement.

This so much! I was not sure if I was experiencing some vision trouble or what... I think it switched in the last few days?

I, too, find the current font style rather difficult for reading.

I usually read the posts of this forum on my home computer, 17 in.

It is interesting, though, to see that when I type my post, the font style is big and clear enough. But, after I "save" and post it, the font becomes so thin and faded.

Sincerely,  Gulliver

Small grey text on a grey background is never going to be readable.

The main topic font on the thread list renders really badly on Firefox too.

Not enough testing was done on this theme.

@zentai I too think it switched recently.

@clenchy yup. Small gray makes me skim text instead of read it thouroughly.

@ratfink yeah, fancy is good for anything outside of blocks of text, but there is a reason why newspapers, magazines and books use pretty standard fonts... though even they make poor decisions sometimes— I have stopped reading books because of terrible font choice.

@gulliver-plus yes the typing font is perfect.

Tahoma is a very transportable font and very readable.
