Expectations are usually session killers, it may be best to expect nothing and be aware of anything, that way you'll be surprised (hopefully pleased) by what your body generates. Good Vibes to You !
A long time ago, earlier in rewiring, I made an attempt to sleep with the modest Eupho. It was hopeless. The little guy kept jumping into action. I gave up on sleep for as long as I could take the excitement.
How on earth does anybody do this? It seemed impossible. Not that I'm complaining.
Back in the early days I occasionally slept with an Aneros Eupho and Helix. Usually this happened on a late night session and I fell asleep. Now, when I have an Aneros session I will have an intense 20 min. or so then fall asleep for about the same amount of time, I wake up then it ramps right back up to a total session of around an hour. I have learned how relax deeply enjoying the Aneros massage and my body and mind just decides to rest for a time. I do believe that the body takes a unknown amount of time to recharge for the next intense sensation. It is extremely interesting how the physiology works in my body. I have Aless sessions daily when I go to bed at night and they seem to ramp up quicker and become way more intense than when using an Aneros. I have timed it and it takes about 30 seconds-2 minutes for the intense feelings to start then 10-15 minutes for EXTREME Aless Super WOW's. These will last as long as I am willing to physically and mentally continue. I normally get tired after 15 -20 minutes due to the intensity. I then usually fall asleep. It is an amazing journey for sure!!
I'm only 5 mos in to my journey. I've slept before with my helix in and nothing really happened. That's ok but is this something that comes with time & experience ?

It'll vary from person to person I'm sure. I think it largely depends on how much your hormones ramp up while you're asleep/drifting off. I'm someone who gets morning wood for a solid 3-4 straight hours every night, so the Aneros while sleeping is occasionally very effective for me. It wasn't always that way though. While I was still rewiring I'd fall asleep a dozen times or so with it in and nothing would happen. It wasn't until I was further along when it started hitting me more while I slept. For some reason, the most pleasurable and intense orgasms I get are ones that hit as I've just fallen asleep. I kinda wish I could get those while my mind is fully alert so I can better appreciate and enjoy them, but hey I'll take what I can get.
I'm 52 now. Still wake up at night with erections off & on. Thx Mumbo, you've given me some hope that night time Os are possible in the future.
I have to say that this kind of discussion gives me the shivers because I have had to deal with insomnia and consider sleep precious. Obviously it’s important for your health. One of the last things I would want is to have sleep delayed or interrupted because of an orgasm, especially if that started to occur on a regular basis.
i am back for some update..
like what others have said, it wrecks sleep.. not in a good way, at least for me
the first few moments of insertion is euphoria, just like what usual one of us here experience when your prostate is horny and the aneros came in to the rescue.
when I dozed off, I could feel my body started to reject any 'foreign body' that isnt suppose to be there and that is where i learn that sleeping with one in isn't a pleasant experience.
that is where I decided to pull it out, washed myself and went back to my bed and felt a sense of relief.
Like some of you, I find the idea of sleeping with this device more exciting than the reality. I end up taking it out mid sleep because it prevents deep sleep for me... a foreign body that keeps me from getting restful sleep.
