Hi there. I've lurked for a while now. My story is probably unusual. So I'll start by saying I never did anything anal before aneros. WHen I found out about them I was interested, and without any real research I picked up my first one. Not knowing what I was doing I got I progasm Ice because I liked the clear color. Little did I know this was literally the biggest model for intermediate/advanced users...oops. But I used it for a while before taking a break. I was brave with it, and found I had a few moments with it where spasms happened on their own for a moment. I eventually shelved it because aneros sessions seem to eat lots of time. Recently I picked up a helios trident, which I've now used a few times. Tried it with the hynosessions, but honestly it just was more of a distraction than an aide and the narrator did a pretty poor job.

So far as I've tried again, I've cut out all porn, hoping to resensitize myself to real feelings instead of images and hoping to get the fabled super Os to come as much as I want. So far nothing even close after maybe 10 sessions. I get a few moments where I can seemingly sense the prostate, a sort of awareness of it, but nothing more. Nipple rubbing helps arouse that feeling and gets me sexually stimulated, but that feeling fades rapidly, less than a minute. Nipple rubbing after that doesn't do anything. At that point I give it a little longer, but general arousal fades and the aneros just doesn't seem to be noticeable or helpful.

It seems odd, but I do think I like the progasm more as it seems to stimulate me more, even if I can't move it much and it takes more time to settle into. Even still I think it may be a crutch to rely on gurth rather than really "awakening" as it were, the prostate. Not sure if that is the case or maybe the progasm would be a shortcut. Sometimes I think I'm missing the prostate, like its lower than the head of the aneros.

Other than that I am not sure if masturbating is holding back my progress. I can go for some time without it, but after 10 days I get aroused, and decide that energy will help in a session. But I fear that masturbating(with and without aneros inserted) could be severly stunting me. Is there any fear of that? Again, I'm avoiding all porn as that wildly desensitizes me and addicts me to the porn, rather than the action and my own body.

Any feedback or suggestions are welcome. Thanks everyone.

@triangleman As you may have noticed while lurking, many new users experience much the same thing as you. Lack of success. At an early stage in the journey, this is to be expected. It takes time. For me, it took some 6-12 months (who's counting?) before I felt that first little tingle and another 6-12 months until I had my first orgasm using an Aneros. This is quite normal, even if some lucky people are more "Aneros ready" for some reason.

Of the two models you mention, I would suggest you start with the Helix trident. Mobility is one of the keys, and the Progasm is much more limited in mobility. The general idea is that the Aneros should stroke your prostate gently while moving.

Many new users ask what they are doing wrong. Chances are that the answer is nothing. You may just not have done the right things long enough or many times enough yet. It takes time!

Read the manual, read the wiki, read the forum, ask questions, practice, experiment, relax, let go of your expectations. Most of all, be patient.

Enjoy the journey!

@triangleman , you have found the first hurdle, time. Reaching the wonderful level of full body orgasm is something that can't be forced or rushed. As @Pavlov mentioned this could take potentially years, as a matter of a fact there are some members that have been at this for 10 or more years and still not gotten the super o yet but don't let this discourage you though, sometimes the journey is as pleasurable as the destination. You should have gotten a message from @rumel by now. lots of good reading that can answer most of the questions you have and some you didn't think of. Most of all enjoy yourself. What you think is nothing is most definitely something.

Starting with the progasm is not all bad. If you like the stimulation and pleasurable sensation you get from using it, keep at it. It's not a crutch as each model stimulates the prostate differently and you will awaken. Yes it is big and doesn't move around much (I don't have that model myself but I have the progasm jr that is a little smaller) but that doesn't mean you can't get the same results as if you started with the helix. Most start with the helix or mgx or even the eupho for the smaller and less intimidating size for someone that has had no prior anal play, and that's a benefit as they move easier when doing your muscle movements. You could always switch tools on occasion, use the helix to learn the movements required and also get accustomed to subtle sensations than use the progasm for the added stimulation.

Is Masturbating hindering, some say yes, some no. I started by not doing both at the same time and stretching the time between happy endings but have started to bring both together on occasion for something different but I mostly try to not finish when joined with a pleasure tool. That's not to say if you are having sex with your partner and you happen to be indulging in a session at the same time enjoy yourself and bask in the sensations you experience.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. I'm not exactly concerned with my time to super-O and multi-O. I understand the process is personal and takes time. That is not my concern. I was only afraid I may be crippling my progress by using the wrong aneros. I suppose I was afraid that the ejaculation event being paired while penile stimulation would hinder progress, not the idea of masturbation itself, but the result of taking it all the way. I did used to experiment with edging and trying not to ejaculate in the past. But I just always saw conflicting statements by people about this topic and aneros. I'll check up again later as I try different things. But I'm happy with all my sessions. I did quickly learn to enjoy a session and let it end when it feels like it is over. I love the small moments I've had that have felt like progress. Since I've picked up aneros sessions again its been great to simply use as a sort of meditation too. I often end very relaxed, even during days of great stress. So that alone is a nice side effect.

Looking forward to the slow progress, the small triumphs, and mastery of the aneros and the sensation of my prostate becoming stronger, and some day, the Super-O. Thanks again guys.

@triangleman as far as i'm aware there is no wrong aneros. I have looked at all the pages of threads and read through probably 70% of the threads. The pleasure tool used is personal choice. Each feels different internally and I've found it to be a personal choice. Also each model interacts slightly different with the body and gives different stimulation but all can induce mind bending orgasms.

Is it possible the ejaculation while joined is hindering? I wouldn't say hindering but it can and does mask some of the subtle sensations the subconscious and conscious are 'looking' for when the prostate is being stimulated directly. That is the reason it is said to not include the penis while having a session.

Edging is not a bad thing and can increase the arousal level.

Something I did was take 1 week and performed an experiment to see how prostate stimulation was influenced by ejaculation. I won't go into detail here but you can read about it in my blog.

having that attitude towards your sessions and enjoying them is wonderful, those small moments will continue to grow. The relaxation is a great side effect and benefit.
