So been on this journey about 2 months. Had a few decent sessions early on. Then pretty bland. Wondering if I am even hitting my prostrate I ordered a Njoy pure wand. Thinking, surely I can hit something here. I only had one session, moved it all over, up, down, back, sideways. Tried to really focus on if I was hitting ANYTHING. I kinda thought maybe..... Nothing concrete. Could my prostrate be numb? Could it just not be "awake" yet?

Might need to go read more about the rewiring process. I felt the most with the large end. So just keep up with sessions and lowering expectations? I had some pretty good sessions early on, and an amazing overnight session. Can't seem to get back to that. Now it is just general good feelings.

I have ED which seems to be getting worse over the last several years. Would that make it harder to have success with the Aneros devices?

The njoy Pure Wand is an excellent tool with which to explore your anal/rectal/prostate areas. Initially this exploration is going to feel strange as you simply are not accustomed to having foreign objects in this body cavity. I hope you don't make the mistake of equating these strange sensations with discomfort, because they are strange and unique you can choose to interpret them as pleasurable and this can set your path going forward. As you become more experienced and apply your mental focus, the subtle sensations your body produces should become quite apparent. You just need to be patient with the awakening process.

Could my prostrate be numb?

Most likely not because you mentioned some pleasurable sensations early on your journey. It is more likely you may just have a less than 'average' sensitive prostate but that only means it may take slightly longer or slightly more pressure to generate easily recognized prostate response sensations.

Could it just not be "awake" yet?

I would surmise this is very likely the case. Two months is a pretty short time of practice and getting a handle on all the variables which affect our response patterns takes some mental effort. This may seem strange for an activity that is supposed to be physically very pleasurable but the fact is this is actually mainly a mental journey (please see @rook 's thread Whole Body/Whole Mind - the mental side & @SteelColdiron 's thread Aneros: The Essential Mind State for a little insight.)

Might need to go read more about the rewiring process.

Exactly, what we refer to as 'rewiring' is simply learning and classic conditioning exploiting our brains' neuroplasticity.

So just keep up with sessions and lowering expectations?

YES, I know having no expectations can be difficult, especially after having read innumerable reports of ecstatic orgasmic experiences but it is necessary for you to discover your own path to those orgasms. You are on a learning journey and you need to have an open, objective mind set, not cluttered by other men's experiences. Your journey will take the time needed for you to get in tune with what your body is capable of producing, you can't rush it.

I had some pretty good sessions early on, and an amazing overnight session. Can't seem to get back to that. Now it is just general good feelings.

I think many men do have some early success exactly because they are naive and open to experimenting without preconceived notions about what the experience should or should not be. With that early success our egos can drive us to chase after that elusive pleasure which our bodies gifted us, this is where we can sabotage our own efforts and try to replicate the conditions to reproduce the effects, real and/or fantasized. This is also the time to start pondering those variables which have a very real effect on our orgasmic development. You might find the threads Identifying Obstacles to Progress and Identifying Facilitators to Progress helpful in furthering your understanding of the 'rewiring' process.

I have ED which seems to be getting worse over the last several years. Would that make it harder to have success with the Aneros devices?

IMHO, NO, in fact some men have reported their Aneros practice has actually improved their penile response and functioning.
Good Vibes to You !

Rumel make some excellent points here, especially the expectations point. I've been on this journey for well over 10 years and can clearly remember one of my first sessions - actually I think it might have been my second ever session. I wasn't even a registered member of the forum yet so was a complete novice and knew nothing of what to expect.
I was using the mgx and it was like someone grabbed a hold of the device, aligned it properly and started hammering me. I can remember thinking to myself "What the hell was that?" To this day it was the only time it auto fucked me.
As much as I enjoyed this session, I guess it set the bar so high I think it worked against me. It was a couple years and much reading of the forum before I started climbing the hill back to that day

Thanks so much to rumel & thhn Both of your posts have given me much to consider

I had another session today with the NJoy and felt some discomfort. So thanks to your comments I figured I had "found" my prostrate and tried to relax into it instead.

I think I have had this experience also. I responded so well in the beginning, I thought I was a phenom and was going to bypass the waiting and studying. Little did I know that my mind with little to no expectations was in the correct place.

I had some pretty pleasurable sessions early on and my overnight session was so amazing, I just wanted to get back there. BUT apparently that portion of the journey is in the past. I can't go back, only forward. And while I may at times get very similar sensations, I will never be on that particular path again.

I see this in life also, some days my grilled steak is like having food sex, other times that same steak cooked the same way is just so so. Many factors contribute to my enjoyment of steak and the aneros, I can only work on controlling some of them as much as possible.

Thanks so much for this response, I need to do MORE homework before my next session.
