I looked around and couldn't find any info on different colored Aneros'. There are different colored Aneros' on eBay and other sites packaged and listed as Aneros, which I'm suspecting are fake. Is this true or am I just missing something?
In addition to the usual white, the progasm has been produced in blue, red, black and, IIRC purple. A red progasm, up one's ass with a gold ribbon tied to the abutment arm, makes for a striking vid.
To the best of my knowledge these were/are all retailed through local stores. My wife gave me the red one for Valentine's day last year.
There was a post on LPSG.org a couple of days ago. The person making the post had found an MGX for $4 and was asking for guidance in determining whether or not it was a genuine item. It certainly looked authentic. Of course, the item he receives may not match the photo.
I ordered a Eupho from another site and it was quite a bit less money than normal. Package and everything was the same. I'd definitely would do a search and review on whatever site you try. The Aneros site is the best to keep your mind at ease.
Hello Bbarlow, 🙂
Yep, Rook is spot on. If I remember correctly from when I asked the Aneros support team this question a few years back, they created the colored Progasm's just for adult sex toy retail stores to sell as a thank you for doing business with them. Basically something exclusive that couldn't be bought on the Aneros web site. There was some talk that eventually they would sell the colored ones here, but that was quite a few years ago, and it has yet to happen. So I don't know if it will.

One thing to remember about buying an aneros is the rare chance of getting one with an annoying molding seam.
Have found two of those, one from a local retailer and another from the Aneros store. Blending with a fine Scotchbrite pad corrected both; however, Aneros is big on Q.A. and invites reports of such products that they've sold from their own store -- contact @aneros.com">support@aneros.com.
However, if you do get a fake with an annoying imperfection you're 'sool' unless it's from an established retailer that will help you.
