I know this has been discussed before but I wanted to briefly revisit it.
I'm an exercise physiologist by trade. I'm also a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer. I read a study recently that talked about women having orgasms during exercise. It's worth mentioning to all the men who have a regular routine of strength training to just be aware that this could occur for us as well, (and it has for me) particularly for those using an aneros product. It's nothing to be ashamed or afraid of, it's just such a surprise when it happens!
I've found that when I'm training legs, particularly exercises like the leg press, leg extension, leg curl, adductor/abductor, calf machines, etc., I get really strong p-waves while I'm completing my repetitions! Recently, I was completing a set of seated calf raises and during execution my left leg began to shake and sent a contraction all the way up my leg and into my anus! My prostate started squeezing and I had to STOP immediately because I knew what was coming! I got up and walked around a little as well as did some stretching. I went back and completed my set but I watchful to make sure that I didn't "go there" again. On another occassion, after having finished a heavy leg training session, I came home and after a shower decided to insert my progasm. This resulted in the most intense aneros session that I've ever had. I achieved 12 super o's! Additonally, I was quite aware of the constant twitching of the muscles in my glutes, quads, and hamstrings. I had endless contractions in my toes that went up my calves, all the way to my abdomen. Undoubtedly, the post-workout aneros session gave my legs an additional workout that I had never experienced.
I've also discovered that exercises such as those done in yoga and pilates may also induce some orgasmic-related activity. Stretches that involve limbering of the glutes, hamstrings, quadriceps, and groin (inner/outer thigh) are highly effective when the user relaxes and ceases to resist the stretch (in response to the pain or discomfort that may initially present upon execution.) I've had experiences of assisted stretching, lying on my back while my partner guides my leg back toward my head with my knee coming toward my chest, causing me to experience a lengthy stretch in my spine that causes my prostate to "flutter." It's a healthy thing and I'm mindful of it. I wouldn't want my exercise partner to get scared because I started having the "whole body shakes!"
I don't know about the direct relationship between exercise and the aneros. However, I would contend that a routine of regular exercise may not only increase physical fitness, but may also contribute greatly to the increase in the mind-body-connection that can possibly assist in achieving greater benefits during sessions with the aneros.
Solostar...I've had near misses in the gym a few times. Usually with lower ab work though...I used to have these before I started using my anero's again and can't say for sure it's gotten more prominent of late. However with these I tend to start to get semi's, which is a good warning sign to back of and go use another muscle to lift something heavy. I have however kept an eye on the
Leg raise rack in front of the cardio equipment in my gym a time or two and seen a few females appear to be straining a lot at the end and then jump down look around and catch their breath. Lol
Otherwise I've also experienced the post workout Aneros sessions that seem to take off like a rocket sometimes.
The last two weeks I've been undergoing a course of Physical Therapy. After therapy sessions I've noticed:
1) If my pain is above a certain point I do not get sustained p-waves from the Aneros. An orgasm seems impossible. Don't know if this is due to just the pain or an inability to relax, through the pain.
2) Below a certain level of pain I can generate p-waves and those "override" the physical pain. I'm beginning to think that p-waves are really cycles of endorphins. And, perhaps whole body orgasm is, in part, the result of an endorphin overload.
rook...I've wondered this myself. Endorphin's are responsible for the "Runner's High" as well as proven to be released during Orgasm and deep relaxation. However only so many endorphin's can be released at a time due to the blood-brain barrier. However I wonder if somehow the Anero's is allowing more endorphin's through this blood-brain barrier, or bypassing it all together, and that's what causes some of the results or effects that have been identified that we can't quite explain.
Have there ever been medical studies of the Anero's and it's effects on the body and brain? Not that I'd want there to be, because the medical field would then get their hands on it and it would either be banned or we'd have to pay $1,000 per session.
Exercise is a perfect adjunct. I'm a personal trainer and group exercise instructor too.. also a licensed massage therapist. I always get a high exercising. and like you once i joined the aneros club I can adapt the learning curve to pleasure pretty quickly. Its happened to me a few times and like you i've had to stop... calm down or escape to the steam room.. LOL. I find the adductor squeeze machine to be the culprit. although I have had other exercises start the deep p waves without much effort. I try to keep it under control while i'm working, but hey.. on occasion things do just sort of happen uncontrollably. The one thing i have done though is about a year ago i thought i'd do a massage on one of my regulars with my progasm firmly inserted.. I tried not to focus on my own feelings and just concentrate on my client. after some surprising results for me as well as for him, he wanted to know what i was doing differently. LOL... he said it was the best massage i'd ever given him.. HHMM..... kudos to the aneros.... i admitted that i was riding.. he said whatever i do just keep it up... this whole adventure and journey as awakened some great pleasure and exercise is a great way to keep it going..

Something to be said for energy transfer right there.
I TOTALLY dig your philosophy on p-waves as endorphin cycles! That, to me, is ABSOLUTELY the best way to describe the waves of euphoria that build up to the Super-O as an "endorphin overload!" It totally makes sense because I've also read (in previous threads) about how many users (including myself) experience an uplift in mood after an aneros session, obviously attributed to endorphin explosion /overload. I also think that the endorphin waves/super-o is the reason for my crying during some of my sessions. I had never understood why some women experience crying during orgasm until I used the aneros. It was the most unexplainable phenomenon of happiness that had ever occured in my life.
So the p-wave cycles are similar to the cycles of endorphins that are released as a result of physical exercise! I totally love it! I can't wait to hit the gym again! I'm doing cardio and abs next so I'm going in with a totally different mindset! You rock, man!

Nice to meet a fellow fitness professional Steve. I used to work as a massage apprentice, earning my hours working for a chiropractor. I don't think I could massage someone with the progasm inserted! I would LOSE MY MIND!!
The adductor/abductor machine is a definite culprit! Also, beware of the glute machine, leg extension, and leg curl. I've actually almost had wet orgasms from the leg extension machine. I thought I was going to lose it mid-rep!
I had an embarassing moment last year. I have a regular massage therapist that I see and we have a good, open relationship. While lying on my stomach, he was giving my glutes a really good working over.....and I POPPED! Right there, without warning, I had a super-o. I couldn't stop shaking or moaning. I was really embarassed because I get massages often and that has NEVER happened to me. I wasn't even horny or anything! He asked if I was okay and wanted to continue the massage. I apologized completely and he said it was no big deal. I know that this is not unusual, it's just so strange to have this happen in front of someone!

Absolutely, that's a good way of putting it. As many people have said, it's well worth the time investment to "get good" at this stuff.
Glad you mentioned the crying / tearing aspect of the ecstasy Solostar, men just don't cry enough, I know I don't and it is such a marvellous, natural release, gets everything out, full tension relaxation and you can move on feeling fantastic.
Where my thinking is at the moment is that each of us is potentially a biological bliss system and I love the endorphin cascade release ideas (Rook, Stumpy) - it's just a matter of discovering various processes of self-stimulation, positive feedback loops in your nervous system which open up natural orgasmic experience. In this respect I think Aneros and exercise work as mutual enhancers, as signalled in all the above posts.
I'm attaining a lot more consistency with my Aneros response from regularly doing some kegel like exercises:
a). Just before going into a downward squat, exhale and squeeze anal muscles, hold and strengthen the squeeze as you reach the bottom of the squat then relax the anal squeeze and inhale as you rise out of the squat. Repeat for 8.
b). When just sitting do a couple of long hold anal squeezes - breath regularly whilst holding an anal squeeze for 20 secs.
I do these every third day, seems to be keeping everything primed so to speak 🙂
