I have the MGX and Peridise, and the plastic does feel slightly gritty and strange.
I've described it on chat as though it's made of ceramic materials.

These classic models are formed from Acetal plastic approved for medical uses. It is a relative of Delrin, frequently used for small spur gears in the automotive industry. To the best of my memory, the surface texture was adopted to improve the tool's ability to maintain a lubricated surface during extended sessions. I rather like the more "assertive" nature of the p-tab on the Helix Classic when compared to the Helix Syn.

Funny you should say that. I almost wrote in my reply above that it seems the classic models I have appear to retain the vaseline lube a lot better than the syn models or the ice. They somehow seem more lubed when removing after my sessions, but I wasnt sure if that's an illusion or if I was already more lubed up having had a different device beforehand.

I recently had a Eupho Classic on order with the local adult shop and after 2 weeks of waiting, they just informed me that this model is no longer available. They do not manufacture it anymore so I switched the order to the Syn model. I wonder if they are about to introduce a new line of products.

I also received the MGX and Maximus Classic made of the same material. When I received them, I was also surprised at the difference in material and weight compared to my Helix Syn and P-Ice but I got used to them almost immediately. They are easy to clean and they do retain lube.

I have an Eupho classic and it is stand down my favorite of the five I have. It is very easy to insert at bedtime and when I use the silicone lube it has a happy home until morning. I am awaken several times some nights in very pleasurable state of mind. I have been using these products for about 4 pos and have not had a Super O yet but have had many many unforgettable moments. I bought the Helix first and found my self wanting the all.

I'm not too entirely sure about that @GGringo, I just bought mine from aneros on the black friday sale. Perhaps that one shop didn't have it? I'm certain there are also many distributors on amazon as well. In case of course you still ade wanting it.

The session with the eupho was far from extraordinary for me and I was experiancing discomfor at times too. I don't know what it was but it felt similar to running of lube even though I know that wasn't the case. I'll keep trying though, it may have just been a dud. Thanks all for the replies!
