Equilibrium of Aneros/Aless in your life?

A question on your “Aneros philosophy”.  Examination may further my development.  What do you do when you strike gold?  When you’ve tapped a vein of limitless, harmless pleasure?

What becomes this sexuality’s relation to the rest of your life?

I have a concept in mind of paper tiger.  It recalls the Forum’s discussion of “terror at the gates”.  When something feels this damn good, our psyches may stand up paper tigers to protect ourselves, from ourselves.

Do you use Aneros daily or several times weekly?  If yes, I say you have reached a point in life, you have shooed away the paper tiger.  Happy for you, you do not hesitate to pursue harmless pleasure as often as liked.  You may sometimes do it presumptively.  Meaning you know once you get into it, you’ll have a good time, even if beforehand you weren’t craving it.

How did you get to that regularity?

The paper tiger defends, so I seem to hold back a little.  All things considered I haven’t been very regular on at least weekly.  Round up the usual suspects: “tired”, “life”, “busy”, (oddly) “lack of interest”(?).  I don’t know.  Why would I hold back on the best thing I have ever felt?  How could I not be interested?  Guilt?  Vague fears of somehow hurting myself?  Fear of really letting go and concurrent with that- getting heard/walked-in upon?  Fear of addiction, where other needed or helpful life areas may lag or suffer because of lack of attention?

What say you?

Accept that you’re walking a higher path. Don’t ever close the vein. It would be a waste.

Realisation that my life will be better than nature originally planned.

Everyday virtually. At least 5-6 times per week. A mixture of toys,A-Less and pegging. Each lead to the same destination.

Yes,knowing it’ll be a good time beforehand is pretty key.

A mix of training and coaching from my wife,Christopher Columbus style exploratory mindset, and my own paradigm shift in thought. For me,i realised I’d been looking at orgasms the wrong way, that I needed to swap trad o and super o around. Take it down from the pedestal.

I was never really afraid I guess, nothing I couldn’t dispatch within the next session. As for negative effects on life and attention to things,I’m a bit too driven for that I think. The gym for instance, nothing gets in the way of training,I’d die first lol. I have other passions and never compromise them.

That's a pretty tough question... here's another one : What was your favorite thing in the world before Super-Os, and how often did you indulge in that thing, and why not more often ?

See, this goes hand in hand with a question I asked a close friend : "Once you reach Super-O states, what are you going to do with them ?"  In other words, Super-Os, then what ? And just like your own question, it's not a trick question. Finding balance might just be part of "then what" or the next step in the journey. I always liked this quote : Before enlightenment; chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment; chop wood, carry water.

One day I'll be rich, one day I'll own a big house, one day I'll get lots of Super-Os. Then what ? Once the excitement dies down, what is the next step ?

I also think the hedonic treadmill is very real : no matter what happens to us, we tend to go back to some base level of happiness. That might be another kind of paper tiger. The balance act might very well be finding contentment, at which point having as many sessions will not matter as much. The difference between other "prizes" and Super-Os is that the Os are not a finite resource, there's enough for everyone. Everyone can get to the highest reward. This also means that you cannot keep a Super-O, or bottle it. It's a "now" thing. Lots of the things I experience, I cannot take back with me outside of the session. These only exists in my journal when I can bother to write them down, or in my far-from-perfect memory.

I guess what's I'm hinting at is that you relation with the Os will evolve with time, which could mean you'll want to sell all your belongings and move into the woods with your Aneros, or more likely, you'll just find a balance where your sessions find a place amongst your other hobbies, activities and daily life stuff.
