I want to believe i have been having dry O's but a part of me feels like I am confusing it with the ability to control my ejaculation. Most of my sessions are pleasurable now with the ability to build up to what feels like a traditional orgasm, including the feeling of ejaculating with only a small amount of leakage. I can build myself up to this point fairly easily now by relaxing and nipple stim letting my mind go. But just before the climax I feel myself becoming aware of whats happening and my prostate pulses a few times some contractions like a orgasm but no cum. I can rest a little bit and go again usually two or three times with the same results. Finally I will not be able to take it anymore and will just totally let go on the last round and it always ends up in a very intense hfwo. So I am wondering if the previous feelings are just me building up and controlling my ejaculations or a true dry O or is that the same thing? Either way it is feeling great and has been a very enlightening experience.

From my experience I would say these are two different things. Before I learned about prostate massage I tried to obtain the ability to have dry orgasms by building up to the PONR and right before that doing a strong pc-muscle contraction. Sometimes it worked out but the intensity was never that of a normal orgasm.

You said you had a small amout of leakage, was it precum or cum? Because sometimes I was able to have multiple actual ejaculations but the intensity decreased dramatically after each one.

I bought my first Aneros about a year ago and only once did I experience something I would call a 'dry-o'. It didn't involve any manual stimulation at all and it pretty much felt like a normal wet orgasm intensity wise, with strong contractions which lasted about six to eight seconds with only a few drops of precum.

Now you have to ask yourself, do these feelings you experience match the intensity and duration of a wet orgasm or not? If not then they're most likely mini-o's.

The wiki has some good descriptions on both types:

mini-O A less intense non-ejaculatory orgasm, typically experienced in the early stages of developing non-ejaculatory orgasm skills. They are often focused in the pelvic area and involve a mild but distinct orgasmic contraction and sense of climax.

and

dry-O A medium intensity non-ejaculatory orgasm, one that is neither a mini-O nor a Super-O.

Although I'm sure with "medium intensity" they mean relative to a super-O which from my experience greatly surpasses the intensity and duration of a traditional orgasm.

Hey @sfs ,

So I am wondering if the previous feelings are just me building up and controlling my ejaculations or a true dry O or is that the same thing?

That's a tough question. Maybe it was both - that's not uncommon during re-wiring.

To answer it technically: as long as you don't ejaculate, it's a dry O. You may have a wet orgasm but don't see the cum because it has gone to the bladder (injaculation / retrograde ejaculation) - a typical result which can happen with the apporach @jeykr mentioned. Which you shouldn't use by the way - it doesn't lead to Super-Os or even consistent MMOs. It's like holding your mouth and nose shout while sneezing - difficult to pull off and not very pleasurable (maybe even dangerous).

But the question you should be asking instead is: is it an energy orgasm? I think the easiest way to find an answer to that question is to sense into your prostate. Let me elaborate: when you edge and are close to the PONR, your prostate and seminal vesicles will prepare to expel the semen - and you can sense that. You feel the pressure building and an aching, tingly sensation in the prostate and parts of the upper urethra. These are telltale signs, that you are about to ejaculate. You can feel it extra clearly, when you stop right before the PONR and you can feel your inner sex organs tingling longer than the glans of your penis. You can literally feel the juices flowing back and forth. If you feel all that but end up dry, that means you controlled the ejaculation, but you still used the path that leads to it. Try that and compare it to the sensations during your aneros sessions to get your answer.

Beyond that, traditional Os build up around your pelvic area and don't spread very wide. Maybe to your belly and thighs... energy orgasms spread further into your whole body and they do that already while ascending to orgasm (good ol' pleasure waves).

When I started my journey I was only able to have aneros induced wet orgasm. After a certain amount of time trying the do-nothing approach I always got impatient and moved the aneros manually. That's how I learned to ejaculate with little to no touch of the penis. But it was still the ejaculatory path, just with extra steps.

I hope this helps a bit.

Cheers, Unfug
