Do I need a new Aneros?

First time poster here, so please forgive me if this is a topic that has been covered. I am 25 and have been exploring anal play for years. After reading Charlie Glickman's prostate book, I realized I had not really given my prostate enough attention. On a whim, I bought a Vice to explore this further but have not experienced much. While I have read others express that this is a large toy for them, it is on the small side for me. I have plugs that much larger (up to 2" in diameter) that I can use comfortably. I have started to really enjoy prostate stimulation with fingers, but when using the new Vice I have not felt much. Do I just need to learn to feel the more subtle sensations and stop using big toys and firm pressure? I have read that other models such as the Helix have better mobility and am wondering if this would be a better choice for my progression. I am ready to put in the time and effort, but I am concerned that I have the wrong tool for me. Should I go for the Helix or just keep practicing with the Vice? Thanks for your advice!

First of all, welcome! That's a good question; for me, and many others, size seems to be irrelevant with the Aneros. Some days, the huge Progasm, Vice or DeVice will produce amazing results, and the smaller stuff gives you nothing. Other days, it's the Eupho, Peridise or MGX that rings your bell, and nothing but discomfort from your big toys. You never know what's going to work until you try it.

I agree with Badger...some days my body wants a more full feeling with my P Jr. or Helix Syn...on other days I imagine how the device is moving and I get best results with Peridise followed by Eupho Syn. That's what makes every session unique! ✌️

Your perception is you are treating this like a plug. It isn't. This is prostate massage. Read the wiki and you can see they have recommendations to follow as your body understands new ways to experience enhanced pleasure. Your experience up until now is about shoving larger things inside you looking for that pleasure. This is more subtle. You have to wait for your nerves to awaken to a pleasurable sensation from deep inside your body. You may have anal experience but your nerves haven't rewired to feel orgasm or multi orgasmic pleasure yet. In reality you are a noob. Don't take offense to that. When I was I bought a helix classic and a progasm ice. I wondered why I didn't get a lot of sensation for the longest time. I bought a peridise set 14 months in. My sessions grew by leaps and bounds after that. My go to device is helix syn, or maximus. Both have been perfect for me. Just bough eupho syn and waiting to feel more with that. So my thought is this. Go smaller. And concentrate on the sensations of the walls surrounding the tool you are using and not the tool itself. Hope that helps.

And how should pleasure deep inside your body feel like? I too have the Peridise and not sure what this sensational growth that you talk about is like.
I can understand the mechanics of this - smaller devices could move more freely, but not sure how that helps with the sensations.

@KCK welcome! As far as I know, any model will give you positive results but it all depends on how you approach it. Each individuals have different level of successes in different time frames. Being a newer member, I would suggest to keep working with what you have a little longer before looking at other options. It might help you make an educated decision. When the time comes, if your choice is a smaller one, then you will be in a good position to compare both toy and maximize on your pleasures.

Good luck in your journey!

What does it feel like? Hmm mm like climbing up the metal pile on the gym set. Or like the rope in gym class. Had a few bolus sensations like orgasm as a kid doing that stuff. For me is all I'm saying, going smaller in the beginning after months of helix and progasm, peridise suddenly opened up the rewiring for me using the smallest one, caused me to have the senses I described above. After that and now up to 2 years I have elevated responsiveness to the stimulus of every instrument in my "arse"nal.
Aneros does categorize their instruments beginner to more advanced. Going back to helix and peridise was the smartest thing I could do. I am now open to the maximus as well as progasm.

Definitely having a variety in my Aneros collection has helped me focus on different sensations from the different toys. I started with the Progasm and only used it exclusively until I bought the Helix Syn. That has created even more feelings for me, and I just recently bought the Eupho Syn and can't wait to see what it has in store for me. 🙂
