Hi Guys! I'm hoping to get some advice from more experienced users and/or multiple model owners. I recently bought my first Aneros. Since I'm an experienced "anal stimulator" I got the Progasm since the thinner models like the MGX seem more for beginners and guys who may be squeamish about inserting something into their hole. The Progasm feels pleasant when inserted, but that's about it. When I do my muscle contractions it doesn't feel like it's making contact with my prostate. When contracting and relaxing I only get a very slight peripheral prostate sensation. I was looking at the different models and they each have a slightly different length and amount they bend towards the front. I called the customer service to ask about the different models and was told that when it is making proper contact, I should have a strong sensation of needing to urinate, which sounds about right; but that's not what happens for me. Strangely I don't see this "urination feeling" mentioned anywhere in instructions and pointers on usage. I want to try another model but don't know which one. Could any one please help with advice on which model provides direct prostate stimulation for you. Maybe someone had the same experience with the Progasm and switched to a different model?
You mentioned "bends towards the front" You might want to look at the PS-new from HIH ,it has a good reach and the nubs on the end are fairly aggressive.
Thanks for the response I'll consider it. The only thing is HIH doesn't allow returns like Aneros does
@FeelGood Mobility is one of the keys to unlocking the world of pleasurable sensations of an orgasmic nature using Aneros. Bigger is not necessarily better. After more than a decade of Aneros use I find that some of my most pleasurable results derive from the thinner models.
Compare with having a partner caressing you. Applying more pressure usually doesn't mean more pleasure. On the contrary, less is more.
Having the Aneros gently caressing the area of your rectum located towards your prostate can generate amazing pleasurable sensations of an orgasmic nature.
The world of non ejaculatory orgasms is completely different to traditional penile orgams. Instead of making things happen it is very much about allowing things to happen. Some of the main ingredients of success is patience and letting go of expectations. It's a journey.
The forum is full of advice on what models to choose and how to proceed on your journey. Make the most of it!
I'm a long time anal player. I started out with a Helix Trident then bought a Progasm Black Ice and lastly a PS-New. I've learned
bigger is not necessarily better.
Yeah, the Progasm is a great size and feels pretty good but I find a lot of times I have better sessions with the smaller devices.
The Helix is probably best between it and the PS-New. I spend at least as much time with the smaller ones as I do the Progasm.

Yes I agree with @Pavlov
The key to unlocking the world of prostate orgasms (for many of us) is through amplification of micro-sensations. By bombarding your prostate with direct pressure, you might not be letting yourself discover this secret world of pleasure. Maybe your anatomy is different, and you need a different sort of toy, but that is pretty unlikely unless you are very tall or short. I would give the toy you have a try for a while.
When I first started with my helix syn (the first aneros I bought and used exclusively for 6 months), like you, I had previous experience with anal play. The sensation of "having to pee" upon insertion was not present, probably because I was used to things in my butt. While I could hardly feel the toy at first, through arousal amplification techniques and focus, I was able to not only feel the toy, but learn to feel its every movement in my body. The same toy that once hardly created sensations for me is now like a golden orb of pleasure against my prostate when inserted.
It is very important that you read the literature very thoroughly if you want to progress. This page is a gold mine, to be read over and over as you progress:

This is 100% accurate. It requires a different mindset. I can gurantee that with patience you will reach pleasure waaay beyond more traditional "more-is-more" stimulation. It starts with re-wiring and becoming receptive (with a clear, open mind) to the really subtle sensations. Take some time to read the resources on the forum. Don't read the product instructions or follow online articles. The experience and generous sharing of the users on this forums will unlock and help your journey along much better.
Hi Guys -Thank you so much for taking the time to write extensive comments and for the great advice!!! I think I will try a thinner model. Thanks again!
I bought a Progasm Ice as my first Aneros about two months ago, for the same reasons you cited (I was experienced with medium-large dildos and plugs, and thought the smaller models must be intended for squeamish beginners). I was also initially somewhat underwhelmed with the Progasm even though it did feel very nice and different from other toys I'd used.
After reading a bit more of this forum and the wiki, I decided it would be good to try the Helix Trident or Eupho Trident before I gave up on Aneros. When I went to the shop they were all sold out of Helixes, so I picked up a Eupho Trident (plus a pair of Peridises for good measure). Since then, the Eupho Trident is my go-to. As I'm getting more facile with the Eupho, I think I'm also appreciating the Progasm Ice a lot more. Oddly enough, the Eupho doesn't feel any smaller than the Progasm--just more nimble. On the other hand, the Progasm provides a nice fullness that can be a welcome change. I've sometimes enjoyed alternating between the two in the same session.
I should also mention that been amazed with how much I enjoy the Peridises, especially the smaller model! I like to wear them sleeping or sometimes all day. Before I started dabbling with Aneros products, I had purchased an Njoy Pure Plug 2.0 (another great toy that I also very much enjoy for all-day wear). What I never expected was that the small Peridise actually provides as much--if not more--stimulation throughout the day as that 2-inch-diameter, 1.25-pound steel plug. Weird, right?
Anyway, this has all been a lot of fun. It has been a happy surprise to have my expectations and assumptions upended, and I'm excited to see where these discoveries lead me. Hope you find a model that suits you, and enjoy the ride!
