Today i put my zini janus medium in (a device that has given me the closet I've ever got to anything orgasmic, and some pretty amazing feelings!), things go well. Sensation hits me. My device begins to autof*ck and the muscles beginning to massage things automatically.

It builds to a crescendo and then the sensations stop. The massaging, the muscles the auto*ck however... all remain. But no feeling? no sensation from the prostate whatsoever, nothing anally either. Its dead. Over.

Ready to then give up I then try my eupho, not quite sure why. I get an immediate reaction that feels likes I'm about to cum hard, my head of my penis is HOT and feels lovely and is harder than a brick sh!t house. This feels like 10 times what i got from the zini.

Then it dies, just like before. Nothing more will work, contractions/do nothing/nipple play. Nothing. The zini has not worked for many weeks now. Its like my innards are reordering themselves every time i go for a session or something, effecting the success of a device on THAT particular day. Is that true do you think? I've used the device before which is massive, i wonder if thats messed up my rewiring?

It's like i need to tag-f*ck myself with JUST the right device. Consistency is lost! i cannot understand how one device can be amazing one session and total, utter garbage the next.

I am really getting p*ssed off.

You people that have a device that works, consistently, are lucky mother f*ckers!

Hey, not bad. That's insightful.

Consistency doesn't exist.

Confusion is a good teacher.

oh phew, what a relief! So your devices sometimes don't work? or rather most of the the time they don't work, but on some occasions you have success?

Cool!

Ok... Putting on my today's-new-whacky-free-rambling-theory cap (please excuse the nonsense) :

Maybe confusion is mainly a big booster. (not counting confusion as lucidity, which is of another nature)

Confused and happy becomes super happy.
Confused and aroused becomes super aroused.
Confused and orgasming becomes superO.
Confused and frustrated becomes super pissed.

Confusion is good... On the condition you are in good state already.

Now, can one chose to be in a good state (say happiness)? I guess it's a sometimes yes, sometimes no. Depends where you start and what much control you have over your emotions. The question is especially interesting because I think it touches the subject of release. Release comes not from do nothing, but from releasing the tension. It's not "no tensions hence pleasure". It's "tensions you manage to let go hence pleasure". And happiness and satisfaction are part of the equation. The bigger leap from unhappy and unsatisfied you can make, the bigger the reward. If you manage to suddenly embrace the moment and happily enjoy the confusion, you are there. And though it seems at times impossible, it depends a lot on you.

Sorry for the riddles.

Enjoy!

Though I know what you mean, "work" is really not a good word. I don't consider the devices working in any way, ever. Ok, maybe the design works. Sorry, maybe only me and words here. Still, I have this idea "work" also implies both "intended effect" and "repeatability", none of which apply to Aneros to me. And realising that was important in my journey.

But yes, the reaction to device (if any, as I mostly go a-less) and technique varies widely to the point I abandonned the idea of repeatability. Every time it works a different way. Every time is new. Every outcome (be it considered successful or not) is different. I had to learn to adapt to that.

hmm maybe this is how i define what i mean:

1. device produces great feelings, lots of movements/muscles responding and a general feeling of increasing pleasure.

2. all of the above suddenly stopping at almost the exact same point no matter what, usually after about 5 minutes.

Hey @Sorena_,

maybe you are concentrating on muscle-work too much. I had similar sessions as you describe before I had my first super-o. Either I would run into a wall that I wasn't able to overcome or the buzz faded despite plenty of movements.

Think of it this way: your arousal or "buzz" is a tiny spark at first and your muscular work (respectively the resulting sensations) is the gentle blow that fans the flame. But you must not forget, that you do this to build up that spark and not to produce a nice wind. Emphazising your musclework too much, is like pointing a leafblower on your tiny spark - i will be blown off. The sensations from eager muscle work can feel very good itself, but they are not to be confused with the neuronal feedback loop you try to induce.

To your question: I don't have consistend sessions either, but some devices work better than others (for me its the eupho). There is a certain level that I reach nearly every time, but beyond that the outcome is generally a lucky bag.

I can only encourage you to do a-less sessions and lots of kegels! Don't rely on the "magic of the perfect device". These massagers are more like training aids for skills that you must learn independently from them anyway.

No it also effects do nothing sessions too, so no contractions involved. It just seems that out of 90% of my sessions it's over within 5 mins, no matter what I do. On those rare occasions when I can keep going, anything I try works. It's why I'm pretty pissed off lately as its so rare these days. You are all so lucky to be where you are, you should all be happy that you don't have this weird, inexplicable physical cut off in pleasure.

Have you tried not ejaculating for at least 4 days before a session?

Have you also tried seeing what happens if you leave it in for longer than 5 minutes? There are troughs as well as peaks during a session.

Hm, that seems odd indeed. Yes I consider myself lucky but so should you. You are on a path, that most people on earth don't even know of.

Most important is imho, that you don't fall into a state of learned helplessness and chronical frustration. Don't push yourself, that's one of the major things that actively block your success. I know that sounds old and easy to say from my perspective, but trust me and all the people here repeating this mantra over and over: the more you chase, the more you try to force and try to make things happen, the further you will drift away from your goal...

Instead, try to just enjoy the little things you already heave and simply relax as they happen. Don't worry about them fading or building - just enjoy the moment. When you let go of the idea to push those feelings to a super-O, they will grow all by themselves eventually! Of course they easily fade away, and they do that quite often, that's quite normal for me too. But they come back quite as easily if you stay relaxed and confident.

A few questions:

Do you do Kegels regulary? Can you distinguish and control your various pelvic muscles ( ~10)?
Did you read some Tao/Tantric books or practiced according exercises (Mantak Chia / Big Draw / Anal Breathing)?
What happens after that 5 minutes when the "buzz" fades away? Do you end your session or wait for the next wave to come?
KSMO?

Did you read my entry in the "My first Super-O" Sticky? I made a super long post and gave away lots of "secrets". (Psst, it even has the @Canacan seal of approval 😀 )

Did you read @Canacans ongoing thread?:
https://community.aneros.com/forum/discussion/15763/a-bigger-picture-journey-scares-thrills-questions-decisions-what-a-mess#Item_134

I personally just started to read this thread (it's so long - 🙁 ), but @Canacan is a member with insight and deep knowledge and therefore always worth a read.

@unfug after those five minutes, which feel really nice as the feeling builds (building the foundations), the buzz as you say just suddenly stops, as quick as turning off a tap (faucet). Nothing, not relaxing, focus, high levels of arousal, contractions, auto fucking (which usually continues, yet i feel nothing pleasurable from it any longer)breathing or manual stimulation gets that buzz or warmth back. Then there are the very, very rare days where I can go beyond those five minutes, the 'confident boomerang', whereby the feeling stop but remain just engaged enough to return. This is why I am confused, as anyone would be.

One thing I would add though; in the five mins I usually reach the pique when my penis becomes erect. I attributed it to to erection itself, but subsequent erections would indicate that hypothesis to be invalid as it does not get me back to that same level as before.

The best way of moving forward for me is to do this:

Have a session when I'm ready and observe all relaxation techniques inclusive of breathing and letting go.

When I've had my five minutes of semi-decent pleasure I stop , remove the device, clean up and get on with my day. Then repeat this process Whenever that may be and not hope for lengthier sessions. This is the only way I can see of moving forward.

Currently I try to push beyond the five min barrier but it always results in me jerking off and feeling angry, if on one of those days I get beyond the five minutes then good. Yes I'm lucky but I am the least lucky of the people here, so I guess I feel somewhat better than I did previously.

I see. I understand your frustration and the urge do masturbate - I have been there too.

One tip I read here in the forum was to regard the aneros as a tool for relaxation rather than arousal. Maybe that shift of mindset could do the trick for you. Don't set an orgasm or even lust as a goal for your sessions but simple and plain (and deep) relaxation. Maybe this keeps you from your know routine of a fast buildup. Such short sessions as you have atm, are rather beneficial if you do them a-less and spontanioulsy when arousal hits you during the day.

@Sorena_

Don't jerk off, therefore you wont feel angry.
Just watch a movie or read a book.

Please think wider - you say "This is the only way I can see of moving forward." (bold emphasis added), but this wording is narrow, or closing. As Morpheus said in The Matrix: "Free your mind". Open your mind. Don't think that what you propose is the only way. That path is likely to lead to frustration, anger, dissapointment and feeling pissed off (as you write in your post). Just relax, free your mind, notice any sensations you have but try to ignore them. Do something like reading a book.

I know you ,dan well lone wolf, but just read a book doesn't cut it when you have built up that feeling in your Prostate, often I find that it has increased my arousal. A cold shower is more appropriate, but trust me it's not as easy as 'just not masturbating'

@unfug that is probably the best thing to do, I agree. I just have to watch I don't fall asleep, lately if I lie down I and close my eyes I fall asleep, no matter how tired I am. Interesting huh?

hahaha, as strange as it sounds, I envy you big time! I have difficulties falling asleep since forever. My mind is pondering 24/7 and I sometimes have to bring myself to a state of tiredness near physical pain, to overcome my endless stream of thoughts.

Edit:
I just read this thread of @Crimsonwolf, that I had in my soon-to-read-queue for quite a while. I think it's the best introduction you can get regarding the relaxation approach:

This is a great comment.

Also beware the "no contraction" illusion. Everybody is always tensed in some areas in some ways. Do nothing is fighting the tensions, but you can be certain the tensions always fight back. Whenever you think "I am fully relaxed", you are in fact very tensed, otherwise you would feel the unsuppressable tensions appearing and building here or there and possibly moving around. When one tries to help another taking every detail in account, or even when one tries to control oneself in the same way, both face the obstacle House M.D. keeps pointing: everybody lies (even if only unconciously).
