I happened across Tristan Taormino's video about pegging, and at the start she shows off a large collection of anal toys, including an Aneros massager and one from a competing company. The competitor's massager looked very aggressive, large with an intimidating angle. On the other hand, the p-tab was much larger, with a ball bearing (which might make cleaning more difficult). Is anyone here able to compare the two after having tried both?
It was the only thing available in local shops but I did not buy it coz there was not any info on it like the aneros.I was sceptical about the aneros but the competitors one I thought was just a toy because of no info.
Sorry does not really answer your question does it 🙁
I have the full range from the "competitor"I when I discovered this wonderful site they were all I had acsess to as that all the local sex shops stocked I had what I thought at the time was great progress with them that was untill I purchased an aneros it is a completly different experience I think it's down to the fact the aneros is properly medically designed it just seems to work better with your (my?) body allthough I would say since using the aneros (progasm ice an helix syn) my sessions with the "other" toys have improved greatly aswell but I have a feeling this is probably due to improved muscle tone also I loooove the ribbed one's a ribbed aneros would be amazing the roller ball is quite nice too
Always curious about the sensations something new might offer, I've picked up a couple of colorful knock-offs on the close-out counter of our local 'bookstore.' I've also ordered one online (an SGX look-alike that came in a cute velvet sack).
All three had molding seams that weren't finished. For each of those it took about an hour of work to smooth down the body and blend in the radius of the p-tab with it's adjoining flat surfaces. The geometry of the 'bargain-toys' produced a poor discomfort-to-pleasure result and I gave up on them when I failed to find any body position that worked. Neither would snuggle into place and remain there.
OTOH a couple of guys have bought some high-end toys they rate as excellent. Duke, from Fun Factory got high marks for supporting intense prostate orgasms... check-out posts by ten_s_nut on the Duke.
Not exactly a competitor (HIH is the same company I believe), but I came across this a few days ago:

The head on that model looks intense, has anyone here tried it?
Clency...ya, this one is really good. I don't know why the Anero's side of things doesn't offer this. The nubs give a very good rubbing on the prostate and the P-tab digs in...in a very pleasant yet firm way. I HIGHLY recommend this one.
Hello, dingus.
I've tried a bunch of competitor's products. None of them compare to the Aneros/HIH line. The only non-Aneros and non-pegging product I still use with some regularity is the Fun Factory Duke. However, that thing is so difficult and awkward to insert that I can't recommend it. Aneros Vice yields almost the same effects while being really easy to use.
Cheers,
Dave
The Classic (aka PS New):
Late last year I added a 'Classic' to my toybox. As newguy8762 says, you'll know where those nibs are and there's no doubt where the tip has landed. My sweet spot is a bit further forward of where Helix and Dame Eupho would like to find it and Classic's p-tab hits it, "spot-on" ().
All that said, it is a bit distracting in that the temptation is to 'itch' my prostate rather than just relax and sink into p-waves. For me Classic is a fun play-toy rather than an orgasmic instrument.
Last year, Aneros was offering the 'Classic' in a two-pack with another toy however that deal isn't in the store now.
enjoy... rook
Dingus,
I experimented with that "ball bearing device" that you alluded to and posted some comments on it 5 or 6 years ago. The gist of it is that the body of the unit is canted too far forward, making it next to impossible to comfortably insert. To make matters worse, if you do manage to get it in, it will not stay in, and it is almost completely unresponsive to one's contractions. In so far as the ball bearing goes...very cool looking, I will give them that. But when you consider that the P-tab is intended to remain relatively stationary, (except for an up and down pivoting motion), what is the point of putting a ball bearing (that has the potential of moving in all directions) on the tip? Lastly the product is made of a hard, brittle plastic with seam lines that are so defined that it had me wondering if the device was ever really intended for insertion. Btw. there is nothing remotely pleasurable about the ribs.....abrasive is the word that comes to mind.
The bottom line: these knock-off products were designed by people who had no idea what they were doing.....and it shows.
On the MGX Classic, I too love this model (it was the one that started it all for me). As newguy8762 mentioned, those nubs on the tip are terrific. But do bear in mind that the P-tab is quite different from those of the more contemporary models. On the Classic the tab engages one's perineum much nearer to one's scrotum. Most users will find that it misses the sweet spot.

Speaking of competitors I found this on Facebook. http://business.avn.com/articles/novelty/Aneros-and-Nexus-Reach-Mutual-Agreement-Over-Patent-Dispute-445831.html
I like the look of the PS New, particularly the suggestion that it's best for men over 5'11", and the ridges, which have gotten great reviews here. I don't think the tab length would bother me, since I don't think I've found my sweet spot despite multiple attempts.....
