I have had my Helix for over a month now and have enjoyed my experiences but nothing to the level of a super-0. It seems that the Helix is not really hitting my prostate unless I physically manipulate it into place. If I pull back on the perineum tab, I can feel it hitting but this gets tiring after a while and not very relaxing. At 5'6" I'm short and I believe that I might be better suited with a shorter version. Are there any short guys that have found smaller is better? I'm thinking the SGX might target my p-spot better than the Helix. If anyone has had similar experiences I would like to hear.

Hello GIBlue, 🙂

The Helix is a great Aneros model that very effectively massages the prostate. Please keep in mind that these prostate massager's were never designed to be manually manipulated with your hand. And it would be fairly easy to damage yourself from doing so. Over time you will discover that harder pressure against your prostate does not equal more pleasure. It sounds like your prostate has not awakened yet. You have to give yourself time and practice to discover these sensations. For some men like myself, it takes quite a while and many sessions to find that there is pleasure from these little devices. Just to give you some perspective, it took me a good year and a half of very infrequent sessions before I discovered that there really was something to this. And now I'm at three years and four months, having very pleasurable sessions at times, but still no super orgasm. I'm only one inch taller than you. So I doubt getting an SGX would be much help. In my own opinion, if you really desire to purchase a new Aneros. I'd go for the Progasm. That big boy really kick started my Aneros journey into the next gear after having owned the Helix, and then MGX for a while.

GIBlue,

When you say that you pull back on the perineum tab, are you referring to angling the tip upwards towards your prostate or is this simply drawing the Aneros outward. If it is the latter, then it is possible that the Helix is indeed overshooting your prostate. While I would agree with Love_is that more often than not this comes down to awakening the prostate with subtle stimulation, if the massager isn't engaging your prostate at all this can be a problem. At that point the best alternative would be SGX.

I'm 5"5" and I enjoy using the helix, but there's no doubt that I get more dramatic results with SGX--although at this stage no super orgasm yet. I tried the progasm for a while but it was no fun at all and eventually I threw it out. I think if you are going to gamble on a new device the SGX is really worth a try.

...and speaking of input, I've got the Helix inputting right now as I relax across my bed. I appreciate everyone's thoughts on the subject. In thinking about the fact of pulling away the p-tab, it seems that this brings the tip forward and downward thereby targeting my prostate. For me, it does seem that the Helix tends to over shoot somewhat so I will be purchasing the SGX model. I hope to post back with some good results from that. In the meantime, I do enjoy the pleasure of the Helix and I also have to consider that maybe my prostate has not fully awakened yet but I'd hate to spend all this time in search of the elusive O that might never happen due to being off target.

Size does matter! I have received the SGX and I'm already feeling a huge difference compared to the Helix. I can't say this is the best option for all shorter guys out there but it is for me. It didn't take long for me to start leaking after I inserted it because it seems to be hitting my prostate better than the Helix. I am really looking forward to completely awakening my prostate and I think that I'll have a much better chance reaching a Super O with this unit over the Helix.
