Cleaning question -- HELP!

So, I recently hookup with a guy that wanted to take my Aneros for a spin. Instead of being a poor host, I washed it off and said go for it. He of course thought it was fantastic. He cleaned it off and put it back in my cabinet. Directly after he told me he has HPV and has had anal worts before. He wasn't having a flare up and claims he couldn't pass it during that state.
I haven't used it since. I'm not having unprotected sex with this guy and even though he says he cleaned it...I wanted to know if someone knew the proper way to sterilize the Aneros. I would prefer not to have to buy a new one. The site says it's non-porous material approved by the FDA, so technically if I drench it in alcohol and maybe boil it, it should be clean of all possible disease....HELP!

cortezcow,

From the Aneros WIKI >Misconceptions > Hygiene

The Aneros massager is made of a medical grade, FDA approved plastic material and will not promote bacterial growth, it nonetheless can be a transport mechanism for bacteria. While sharing sexual experiences with a caring partner can be emotionally and physically rewarding, keeping yourself safe from diseases is always important. Your massager is a personal device, keep it that way. Do not share your device with others, this will prevent any possibility of acquiring someones else's diseases and always clean your massager before and after every use.

While boiling your shared Aneros for 10-15 minutes would probably sterilize it, why take the chance? IMHO, you should now consider this model a gift to the hookup guy and just get yourself a new one. It is a small price to pay for the security of knowing you are the only user of YOUR massager. Why worry about possible contamination at all?

The white plastic Aneros devices should be perfectly OK if you sterilize them with bleach. But I agree with rumel. I wouldn't share a toothbrush either.
