Clamping

I know this has been discussed over the years in past posts, but I just wanted to share my experience and look for suggestions. I usually take the "do nothing" approach, lay back and let the pleasure build on my prostate until the p-waves come. But when I relax into the pwaves, my muscles seem to take over and CLAMP down on the aneros, which kills all the pleasure and waves. Any thoughts on how to side-step this reflex?

If I understand your dilemma that's what you want...go with it...kick back and wait for the fluttering to happen next.

I'd suggest not worrying about it. If you can get the muscles to relax slightly, do so. Otherwise, just let it continue and they'll eventually get tired and maybe start to flutter.

Ok I think I just need to relax and not try and force anything.

...let your body do what it wants. the involuntary clamping is definitely a sign you're heading to the super o.

I'm shooting for the "auto-fuck" response that used to lead me to super-O land years ago. I have been out of regular practice as of late but seem to keep having my arousal dulled every time my anal muscles have that "swallow" reflex where there is a hard contraction after the fluttering picks up in intensity. Not sure if any of this makes sense, but I appreciate the feedback and encouragement. I probably need to focus more on letting go and meditation and less on the physical contractions.

Neuro,
I went through a phase when this used to happen. It lasted for a couple of months but I eventually came through it by continuing to use the "do nothing" technique and it doesn't happen anymore.
Maybe the same will happen for you.

Ah hah, so that's what clamping is? The wiki didn't make any specific definition on that term.
That's often what happens when my sensations hit a peak during a 'do nothing' approach - the body tenses the Aneros sinks in. It doesn't kill the sensations entirely, though it does more or less mean I've hit the roof.

The first time clamping occurred, though, something odd did occur. The anus involuntarily shot the Aneros right in further and I had an full-on erection in a blistering 0.2 of a second. Definitely felt the prostate then, and there was an odd ejaculation feeling on par when you're about to shoot. (Still dry in result tho) Can't be sure if the whole thing was accidental or not. I do recall anus doing this out of no where though.

When I get the "clamping" my body usually goes into the shaking/spasm mode, but the sensations stop. I've been trying to get past this for months.

Indeed Jedi. I usually focus on breathing so my body doesn't go into shaking/spasm mode since for me, I never felt much pleasure from that response. I should clarify more about "clamping" Maybe it would be better labeled as an Anal Swallow...lol sorry if this puts a bad image in people's head. But it's that peristalsis induced reflex. It would be great if it was rhythmic, but for me it's like one contraction, like being at the dentist with your mouth open for long period of time and then your body automatically swallows at some point. This reflex seems to reset the growing pleasure on my prostate.

For me it's the anal swallowing that inevitably kicks off the deep involuntary contractions that lead to dry O's within minutes, that then rapidly start to grow and grow.

Great stumpy! Could be the very thing that I thought was hindering my practice is actually a precursor to the land of O's. Perhaps my mind is getting in the way of what my body innately knows.

Thank you forum for getting me back on course!! I have new buzz for my journey. This afternoon I revisited my old tailless MGX. And who says an old dogs can't teach an old anerosian new tricks? I reclined in my desk chair with my feet up on the desk. I had been very turned on from watching a compilation video of a guy handsfree ejaculating..it seemed to get the right muscles pulsing. I slipped in the MGX and fired up Isabella Valentine's "Lesbian Man" hypnosis and off I went. She described what it's like to orgasm as a women and gives orgasm commands. Seriously put me over the top. I found the BIG HELPER in not CLAMPING down with the rectal pc/anal sphincter muscles is to BREATHE. Any time I felt like I was reaching or beginning to force the pleasure, I stopped and took a deep breath. Works wonders! Basking in O' bliss ~Neuro

It is hard to teach an old dog new tricks. But it is ever so good to know that there is life in the old dog yet!.
I have gone back to the SGX and a modified MGX (reduced front edge) from time to time. The helix and SYN seem to increase my 'rrhoids whereas the SGX particularly seem to reduce them. I am finding that I have all sorts of muscles I never knew I had.

I have used this "clamping post" rather than a new post.
At present after inserting and relaxing i notice that the SGX and the Prostate sort of connect. I suppose the Prostate is swelling a bit and seems to want to feel the pressure of the SGX. The response is a slight tightening of muscles that pull the two together. I can override this increased tension. In the past this increased tension has 'made me' tighten up the BC/PC muscles and this has been okay but has gone nowhere in particular. I now call this 'clamping'.
My present challenge is to separate the internal semi voluntary prostate response muscle from the fully voluntary BC/PC muscle clamping. When I am successful in letting the internal muscles do their thing and keeping the BC/PC muscles relaxed it feels very nice and i get an occasional a single involuntary contraction. I am hoping one day that the involuntary muscle will do some multiple contractions. I trust I am on the right track.
This is all very convoluted. It all feels very nice so far. I feel very content with the 'little' that is happening.

NeuroI think u and others r correct that breathing is the key. Recently i saw on the Dr. Oz show an expert in relaxation mentioning a 7-7-7method: breath in slowly for 7 counts, hold the breath a more or less same 7 counts, and likewise for breathing out. I get different prostate pleasurable sensations with each of the 3, butt all r super sensations. i also use the method for relaxing, especially in meditation with my 7 syllable mantra. 7 is traditionally a sacred number, sometimes called the perfect number, and sometimes explained as being symbolic of completion or the like.
