In order to participate in the Aneros Chat Room you must first be logged-on, then Click on the CHAT button on the top Menu Bar line (this opens into the Aneros Chat Center), Click on the CHAT NOW... button under STATUS column (this opens another page), Click on Aneros Chat Room #1 and you should now find yourself in the Chat Room. It's that easy.
Failing this you may try contacting Support for further assistance.
1.) You might try submitting this through the "FEEDBACK" tab on the left hand side of the page. While Support does periodically monitor the posts into the Forum, this current post might be missed.
2.) You may try contacting Support directly via the online "Contact Us" page of the website (registration is not required to use this method).

Not just that, but everything except the forums gives a "connection attempt failed" error, which suggests the content management system database has gone AWOL.
EDIT: it looks like it's fixed now. Perhaps routine maintenance?
I don't know, but it wasn't just the chat not working...for the past 2 or 3 days I couldn't even access the main site let alone the forum here. :confused:
The chat on this site is only usually open at weekends, normally Friday afternoons (3pm EST) to Monday morning (3am EST). November was a little different, what with the Thanksgiving holiday. Aneros staff don't usually put up the schedule for a month's chat sessions until the first day of that month.
If you are desperate to chat when this site's chat is closed, there is another, unofficial venue.
Heads up to Aneros support...
Attempting to join chat gives, "SQL error... Please check your error log file for details..."
Ok, why is the entire site (both the main and forum) down for days at a time? It's been happening on and off now for the past few weeks...
