I have attended several times and have enjoyed it enormously.
Exchange of information and humour have been very good.

I see you get the occasional brickbat about new products.
As an engineer I know how hard it is to get things perfect as I have done some

I just remembered someone on chat today said that
they had discovered a whole new sub culture.
Not sure if it was about the Forum in general
or about the Groups section..

Never thought of myself as being a subculture.

I have not been able to open the chat room when it is announced as open. What am i doing wrong? Can anyone please give the procedure to get into it and participate? thanks!!

Hello oldtymer.
If you look at the top of the Forum page you will see some buttons
on a bar below the Aneros logo.
They are in black.
Click on the one called "Chat".
This will open up another page.
It will say something like "chat now "

Click on that and you should be in.
Try it now. I know chat has finished but try it anyway.
Any further problems, just ask.

Thanks Voyager...but still no luck. I clicked on the Chat button and it takes me to another page which lists the chat room dates, times and RSVP info, but I still do not see a "chat now" button. The "intro to chat" takes me to a blank page. Nothing has changed from previous attempts. So I still do not see a way into the chat room. Oh by the way, my "buttons' under the Aneros symbol are black if that makes any difference.

Dang... I meant "red" as to the button colors. DUH here

You are not the first person to express befuddlement, trying to access the CHAT ROOM.

Regarding your Chat room access problems,
1.) What Browser software are you using? FireFox is the recommended web Browser.
2.) Are you registered and logged into the site? (only registered members may actively participate, 'chatguest's may only observe)
3.) Are "cookies" enabled on your Browser?

Since there is currently no Chat Session Open, the only thing that appears on the Aneros Chat Center page are listings of "UPCOMING CHAT EVENT", "START DATE/TIME", "END DATE/TIME" & "STATUS".
Currently under "STATUS", it simply says "Scheduled". You will need to wait until the next scheduled Chat begins (10/29/10, 3:00pm EDT) to actually access the Chat Room.

When the Chat Room is opened, the text under "STATUS" will change to read "CHAT NOW: Ends in...". You will then need to click on this hyperlink. This should take you to a new page, where you will then need to click on "Aneros Chat Room#1" just below the 'ROOM NAME' title. That should get you into the Chat Room.

If that doesn't work you might try typing the following URL directly into your browser address line -
"http://www.aneros.com/chat/blab_v2.php?eventid=78" (Note: the 78 designates this coming weekend's Chat only)

Failing that you can try contacting Aneros Support through the FEEDBACK tab on the left side of the screen or telephoning Support directly on Friday, 2:00pm-5:30pm CST at (713) 680-8840 for help getting access.

P.S. The highlighted hyperlink to "Aneros Chat Center Forum" on the Aneros Chat Center page is a dead link and only takes you to the HOME page.
