This is pretty embarrasing, but I have a very mild case of hemroids, and i am not sure if they were caused by me walking around with the aneros in or something else,i have no idea. i have not used the aneros in a while because i am afriad of hurting them or making the condition worse. has anyone had experience with this problem?
I'm a long time sufferer of mild roids myself. I'm wondering if the type of lube might be the culprit. Vaseline tends to worsen mine as well as the medications like Prep. H which are probably vaseline based. Just my two cents, but I might suggest a different lube, perhaps Astroglide or a similar product or vica versa if you're already using this type of product.
I've experimented some in leaving the Aneros in, but have decided that it really doesn't do anything for me if I'm not relaxing and doing subtle contractions. I recently purchased the Peridise starter units which are specifically designed for treating hemmoroids by helping to build the rectal wall muscles. I don't have a clue as to why these would be better then the other Aneros products since I am contracting the rectal area with either of the products, but have read where the Peridise are designed specifically for this purpose. The kicker for me is that I'm getting just as good progress as with my other products (MGX and Helix) with my sessions and don't seem to miss the p-tabs. This was surprising to me because they are much smaller then the traditional Aneros products.
Another note on the roids is that I have kept mine under control by keeping the rectum clean with very small enemas Just enough to wash the 'roidal area. A doctor once suggested this as a way to clearing up a flare up and I have done this routinely and haven't had to see a doctor for this condition for over ten years.
Hey Guys!
I too have the dreaded roid and to tell you the truth, the only time I have a flare-up
is after straining, like doing heavy lifting . . .
In other words, my Aneros use over the past years doesn't seem to bother them and
may even keep them messaged down to a smaller size??? Can't say for sure, of course!
With lubes, I find the thicker viscosity the better!
This is how I feel about it, any way!

Hi Hlaser and others
You may recall Hlaser I spoke with you recently about my problem with the P-Tab slipping off the perineum due to the KY jelly running and causing the whole area to become slippery.
You recommended (maybe) switching to Vaseline but I am hesitant because I understood Vaseline is a petroleum based product and I'm not too sure if that would be safe?
I have reduced the volume of KY jelly I use to try and stop the slipping issue but I suspect I may have taken it too far and I'm not getting the lube I need for freedom of movement inside. I'm not sure if the KY seeps out during use or is sort of squeegeed off during insertion; maybe both.
Thanks again

From my experience I'd say that the Aneros could cause or aggravate hemorrhoids particularly if you are walking around a lot with it in. In particular this is an issue if you leave it in too long or don't use enough lube or the right type of lube.
Normal Aneros use should not bother you though.
Also, I have found the Peridise seems to reduce hemorrhoids and help them go away.
