Can prostate play cause prostate enlargement?

I recently had a scare. I woke up the other day and when I went for my morning pee I couldn't completely empty my bladder no matter how hard I tried. It felt incomplete. It was quite frustrating and after researching I saw that one possible cause is prostate swelling. I've seen that Aneros can help with prostate health, however I also use vibrating prostate massagers. Just wondering if there's a possibility that this could have caused that or if its likely something else. Since that day I seem to be fine after a day or so I feel like i'm urinating normally. Anyone else experience this?

Of course, I'm not a physician so I won't even attempt to answer your question from that perspective. However, I will make two observations that may be relevant. I've experienced this as well. Nocturnal morning erections can be quite strong (depending on when you wake up) and may temporarily interfere with the urine stream. I think this is entirely normal. Also, I've noticed that during very warm, humid weather, my urine output can be very low to non-existent if I'm not drinking enough fluids. As far as the prostate is concerned, I believe that the consensus is that frequent ejaculation is good for the prostate. And even Cialis now is approved for control of BPH symptoms. So, rest assured that, IMHO your prostate play can continue with no worries!

I have also experienced this and still do. it also worries me as well. I am wondering if an enlarged prostrate may have an infection. dr. gave me antibiotics because PSA was high. it lowered PSA when I went back. so antibiotics fixed the infection but I still have an enlarged prostate as far as I know. Psa a few months ago was also high. I really hope I am not hurting my prostate using the aneros. I did ask dr if prostate massage would help, he said not really. so I am really not sure. WEB MD does not have much info on prostate massage in helping reduce prostate enlargement. but lots of places do say frequent ejaculation does help prevent prostate cancer. so I don't really know for sure. but I do masterbate about 2 times a week, and hope I can have intercourse with the wife on the weekend. she has fibromyalgia and is in pain lots of days. guess I am lucky to get laid once or twice a month.

First, Welcome to the Aneros Forum. I'm sorry to hear about your recent incident but glad that your symptoms quickly abated. It may have just been a transitory event with prostate swelling induced by an arousing dream or an early sign of BPH, a common problem found in men as they age. However, swelling due to a vibrating massager usage can't be ruled out as its overuse could cause some irritation, bruising and subsequent inflammation, it is something to consider in your future practice. Go easy with that device in the future and if the symptom recurs please make an appointment to see your doctor and have a discussion with him/her about diagnosis and treatment options.
Good Vibes to You !

I had something like this but with symptoms of a UTI, and not during use of Aneros. I was constipated and passed a stool. The symptoms didnt clear within 20 mins so I went to the doc - gave urine sample, and they said there's a sign of infection. Sent sample to the lab, and in the mean time had a doc do a DRE a few days later. He said, prostate fine, no issues etc. Lab report a week later said no sign of any infection. So.... it could just be a bruised prostate from constipation, but maybe aggressive prostate play with toys could have the same or similar results?
