EDITED AT END

Hi,

I haven't had alone time with the MGX (not quality time) as my mum is always next door, but tomorrow, I have a day off and I expect she'll be going to work as normal, so I will have a free house.

Now, I have done a few (3?) discrete sessions at night, lubing the MGX up (a condom over it since I don't think I can be cleaning waste off it after every use. I simply inside-out the condom as I pull it off, and it makes disposal/"cleaning" easy), and inserting it, waiting, then trying to contract. But no real pleasure. I can't tell if it's hitting the prostate or not.

I don't get much time alone and am wondering if this day would have been better spent with a Helix, seen as that is more bulbous at the top = more connection with prostate. The MGX, the more I look at it, seems to be too straight. It "curves" slightly, but on closer inspection, it isn't as much a CURVE as it is a "bite" eaten out of the side of it.

I am not expecting superOs or superTs, but some pleasure would be good. Is it best to be aroused so my prostate swells? Can the MGX be WRONG for some people?

I can understand people "Moving on" from the MGX to a next level model, but is that due to wanting "more" or is it because the MGX did nothing for them?

Who has had no luck with MGX but with bigger models? What can I do, apart from the instructions on Aneros.com, to make the most of this once in a blue moon day off?

EDIT:

"The Prostate gland is a walnut sized gland located near the botton of the bladder and near the anterior wall of the rectum approximately 2-3 inches inside the anus," - Aneros Wiki

That being said, the MGX has an indentation at about the 2-3 inches point, so couldn't it "miss" the prostate?

MyTurn-

sorry, this just ain't gonna work.

we've been trying to tell you to let go of expectations.

you are setting yourself up for a big fat disappointment. there is *nothing* you can do to prepare for your once in a blue moon, except throw out the once in a blue moon part. the problem is definitely not the model you are using. the problem is that with some people it takes time for the body to figure out what is going on. you need to *train* it.

the best thing to do with your whole day is to plan to do something else!

then, after a nice fulfilling day, give yourself an hour or two session, with... no expectations!

maybe you'll feel some pleasure, maybe you won't. maybe you feel lots. but, not matter what, it is a step on your journey. YOU CAN"T FORCE THE JOURNEY.

read here and in the wiki about relaxation and breathing, etc. that is all you can do.

SORRY!

You are right. It's hard to have no expectations on something that promises to change your life for the better. But yes, that is what I need to aim at. I just want to make sure that I am not "wasting" the day. If I do it all correctly, and feel the prostate being massaged, but no pleasure, then that means I'm a step ahead. It's just this "not knowing if Im even making contact with the prostate" matter that is frustrating.

Thanks Darwin...

I've just remembered this info:

"The Prostate gland is a walnut sized gland located near the botton of the bladder and near the anterior wall of the rectum approximately 2-3 inches inside the anus,"

From Aneros wiki.

So if the Prostate is about 2-3 inches in, but the MGX is 4 inches long, the bit that has the "bite" taken out of it will not make contact, right?

dude-

forget about making contact with the prostate.

forget about inches.

forget about not wasting the opportunity.

forget about absolutely everything.

insert it, and do nothing but relax, breath and the occasional contraction.

meditate with it in.

if you feel nothing that is totally ok, and doesn't mean anything.

it just means that maybe you'll feel something the next time or the time after that or the time after that or...

turn OFF the brain.

MyTurn,

‘Darwin’ has given you the straight, bottom line information.
Hopefully, you will realize the wisdom of his experience and sharing of his 5+ years of Forum participation.

I don’t recall any literature by the Aneros company that “… promises to change your life for the better.” If you want to change your life for the better (which is always a nice idea) start with changes within your own mind, nothing from the external world will instigate change more rapidly and certainly not another Aneros model.
You are apparently caught in the trap of over-thinking this process. Logical reasoning and rationality are all well and good traits, most of the time. Full body orgasmic experiences do not come about by rationalization or egocentric thought processes, they will be induced when you are least “expecting” them to occur, when you begin responding to your body on a sub conscious level. This is most likely to be achieved when you are in a very relaxed state of mind and body.
