Can it be done without a sweet-spot?

Hello everyone,

40ish, fully functional male looking for some new interesting ideas. After a lot of wandering around I stumbled upon this very intriguing device, read all the docs, did my homework, 3 weeks already with the MGX except... nothing happens. And the only think that is different from the wiki shopping list is that I don't seem to have a "sweet spot". I read before about the magic point on your perineum but never got anything out of it so I dismissed it as one of these spiritual thingies. Except now it appears to be something real that I should have but, one finger, two fingers, firm press, gentle touch you name it... nothing out of the ordinary can be felt/detected in the area. Heck, it feels as if I'm pressing my finger against my leg: you can tell the pressure is coming but no special area. Correct me if I'm wrong but from the description of it I think I'm looking for a feeling similar (but way lower in intensity) to the spot you have on your elbow. If yes, then... no such thing for me no matter how I try; maybe I was born without it (if that's even possible).

So, to all you experienced users I'm asking: can it be done without the spot? E.g. can it be done as if you've broken the p-spot arm of the Aneros?

I had trouble finding the spot too. For me, is necessary to have an erection to be able to feel the sweet spot. Have you tried that? Also, I can't find the spot using my fingers. I need a 'sharp' (thin) object like the tip of a pen or a coin to press against the perineum. Even then, there are days I can't find the spot. Usually when I have the aneros inside, the perineum tab won't hit the sweet spot. However it still feels good and makes me orgasm (wet). There was one recent occasion where I had changed my position a bit and seemed to hit the spot with my progasm. I haven't been able to reproduce this, though. Another tip might be to change your model. At first I had the syn helix with its flexible perineum tab. When i changed to the (rigid) progasm I made better and more direct contact with my perineum and prostate. With each contraction it presses directly and firmly against both, which is nice :). With the helix this is more subtle.

I never found mine and I'm enjoying every sensation my toys are giving me. Good luck.

My opinion is that there is no exact sweet spot. The perineal area is highly enervated, and, like the rest of the nerves in the region, will wake up and increase their sensitivity with stimulation. It's part of rewiring.

Try masturbating that area with your finger. At first, do it in conjunction with penis. Press on your perineum while slowly jerking off, and feel how it gives a turbo boost.

Then, slowly phase out the penis, and just stimulate that area. You can imagine you're stimulating a woman's clit and lips. Get creative. But... be conscious of actual, not forced, pleasure signals. When you feel them, relax, relax, relax, and let them grow.

I didn't dependably find mine for the first six months of Aneros sessions with my Helix. Padding the p-tab with a medicine dropper bulb seemed to help by increasing the overall pressure but distributing it over a larger area. After a few weeks of sessions with that combo the sweetspot 'came alive.' Having my wife finger my perineum helped with the search.

At the same time the musculature along my perineum was increasing from an aggressive Kegel program so the area may have 'slimmed down' with less lard. I could also disginguish between Helix and MGX (the Helix asserted it's pressure point while the MGX provided an overall warm 'cradling' feel on my prostate.

One of our Canadian Bros has tried a number of foam padding materials for the p-tab so you might try different thicknesses of foam.

Thanks everyone for the quick and really helpful answers.

I'll try Darwin suggestions but Darwin: you are aware the dreaded wiki says "don't touch your penis" all over the place, right? 🙂

Rook's answer is even more intriguing: having practiced Kegel for years now I can say I'm a body builder when it comes to that area: not only controlling the flow of urine is trivial but I can squirt jets of it. Ultimately it only increased the force of my ejaculation, nothing more but it might have had the side-effect of hiding the nerves point.

I guess it ultimately boils down to the wiki: the spot is described as a given fact and there are no doubts expressed about the existence of it or possible troubles finding it. Whoever's in charge of the docs should mention that heavy Kegel practice might hinder the discovery of the spot.
