Okay, I gotta tell you guys right from the start:

I am getting absolutely NOTHING form the Aneros. I mean nothing. I have followed the instructions to the letter. I have used it too many times to count, and nothing is happening. First of all, the Aneros doesn't produce even the slightest bit of sexual pleasure. When I contract my PC muscle I feel nothing. I can feel the Aneros moving inside me, and pressing against my prostate, but it doesn't feel good. In fact, I find the pressure on my prostate actually hurts just a tiny bit. I actually find the Aneros is NOT pleasurable, but quite the opposite.
I have tried everything. Empty bowels, pre-lube, hard contractions, soft contractions. I get nothing. I can't even get the slightest sense of pleasure from this thing.
Is it possible some guys just aren't gonna respond to this thing?? When it arrived in the mail I was a little surprised to find it wasn't even a vibrator, and I was a little bit skeptical when I saw it. I wasn't sure how this thing could cause such amazing sensations. My intuition was right. I am yet to get anything that resembles anything close to pleasure.
Am I doing something wrong? Am I not getting it?? I can't believe how dissapointing this whole thing has turned out to be. I think I've wasted my money.

NoJoy,

Welcome to the Forum,

I guess your username pretty much says it all. You are obviously suffering from some severe frustration do to a lack of bodily response to your Aneros massager.

In response to your thread title - “Can I get a refund on this thing???” the answer is maybe depending upon when, where and what model your purchased. If you purchased a MGX (or SGX) model through this website less than 90 days ago then you can take advantage of the 100% money back guarantee if you are not satisfied. There is a partial refund policy on the Helix, Maximus and Eupho models.

As to your other question Is it possible some guys just aren't gonna respond to this thing??” The obvious answer is Yes it is not only possible but it is probable some men will not respond to these devices. The truth is there are many more reasons for lack of success than there are for attaining successful pleasure sessions. IMHO, this Forum exists for the purpose of reducing and eliminating where possible the reasons for unsuccessful sessions.

I find your statement “When it arrived in the mail I was a little surprised to find it wasn't even a vibrator,...” quite curious. Did you order this product thinking it was a vibrator? Did you read much about this device beforehand?

New users who are not getting the effects they expected often ask “Am I doing something wrong?” The answer is you are probably not doing anything wrong per se. Most likely you have not yet found the right combination of body position, stimulation, arousal and relaxation for you to feel the subtle sensations being generated by your prostate due to your Aneros massager. The instructions that come with the massager are really only the starting point for your practice. The journey you are embarking upon is far more complex than can be definitively written into a formula.

P.S. I sent you an introductory PM with some additional hints and tips to get you started.

To touch on some of the issues rumel covered:

1) Which Aneros model do you have? From what I've gathered, some models are more difficult to become adjusted to, while other require a more specific approach to provide sensations.

2) Not meaning to be picky, but a vibrator is the last thing Aneros massagers need - if my penile nerves are of any indication, static contact with a vibrator numbs the nerves, which would be counter-productive, considering the way Aneros works.

3) How much focus have you placed on mental arousal during your sessions? I've used two Aneros models (Helix & Progasm) for some months now, and have found that pleasurable sensations require very little muscular input, and are reinforced mostly by relaxation coupled with a sense of arousal.

Do you walk into a car dealer and buy a sports car and expect to drive away like a world champion.
Do you buy a hunting rifle and expect to drop a buck at 500 yards with your first round.
The answer must be no.

The same applies to the Aneros.
Unless you are in the top .001% of the population.

Put it in a drawer and read the Wiki then all the posts in the forum.
Clear your mind.
Get a better user name.
Then think about trying again.

There are some very helpful people on here who will spend their time to help you.
After 18 months I still have not hit the high notes.
Perhaps one day I will.
Until then I read look and listen and grind away.
I hope you stay with it.

I think when someone has preconceived notions of what this is, and what it is going to start doing immediately, that is when they have the least success. You really got 0 joy from using this? No slight amount of pleasure? Those that expect the least with these devices usually get the most pleasure. Anything you read on here says let it happen, relax, anything is something. When you get almost mad at the process, and the product, you are immediately going to be at a disadvantage.

NoJoy,

First; I must agree with all the comments that have been made above.

I would just like to add that you should not give up. Make sure that when you insert the device, that it is not uncomfortable. Maybe you need to ensure you are using a suitable lubricant.

Then just empty your mind of any expectations. Maybe a few erotic thoughts might help the process but beyond that, just don't expect anything to happen. Eventually it will!

Good luck, and keep going!

blablabla

Except maybe for some people it just isn't enjoyable. And considering the hype it gets from the people who like the items and from the sellers maybe it's not that weird then people feel disappointed then it's nothing special at all.

Just because some people like it all others mustn't, as with most things related to sex.

It's way easier with the penis since the response is so hard, active and there from the beginning.

aliquis,
If you are going to quote someone please have the good manners to use their words
and not what you think they have said.
If you are trying to point out that advise on this topic has been posted a thousand times before
I for one will agree.
It will be posted again and again for users with problems.

I think from the tone of your post that you had a bad week or have been unwell.
May I take this oppertunity to wish you a better week or a speedy recovery.

It's the success bias, people who've felt disappointed by a product obsess about it on the internet far less often. There are so many physiological / psychological factors that affect the sensations received from a prostate massage, that I find it a statistical probability that there will be some people who'll be sorely underwhelmed by their Aneros experience. And I fully understand the disappointment, in the light of the massive hype.

It's way easier with the penis since the response is so hard, active and there from the beginning.

Ironically, it could be that some people experience far better penile orgasm to begin with, and as such do not feel that the prostate orgasm are such an improvement 😉

And I fully agree, Aneros sessions are a hassle compared to the effort needed to produce traditional orgasms.

Hi to all, Just a small comment, it is always easy to find negative in things especially when that's what you expect, but to find the good you have to look a little harder. W.
