Hello, I'm a 52 year old whose been prostate playing for about 8 months now. I've been fortunate enough to have good results. However I notice now for traditional penile stimulation, it takes arousal and erection a little longer to respond. Is this what happens when you introduce prostate play on to your masterbation menu ? I'm trying to be equal with both but I wonder if you stimulate them ( both separately ) would one be a little more dominant over the other ? Is this part of the rewiring process? Thank you.
Hi, Spikester 71 (@buick45571gmail-com),
that's an interesting question. Being only a few years older than you and having started mindful prostate stimulation more than three years ago, I guess, what you are noticing I'd consider to be a kind of shift in your attention and awareness.
Before my journey began, I had not even known what exactly this organ is good for, although the old me of my teenage years had already enjoyed massaging my perineum on my bike's saddle causing a hard-on on my way to and from school. Now I feel aware of my prostate from dawn till dusk - if not too distracted or busy.
That's why I'd say, meanwhile I couldn't stimulate my penis and my prostate separately anymore, even if I tried. Even now my prostate is buzzing a bit hoping I might focus on it to have some joy. If I would want a traditional penile stimulation right now, I would be already aware of that humming of my prostate. As its organic function already is part of the erection process I now can hardly imagine how to exclude my prostate from any sexual activity.
I am quite curious about further opinions.
Greetings, Mart
P.S. What I forgot to mention is that I noticed that I now mostly can get a good deal more effect (arousal, erection) with much more subtle penile stimulations than before.

I think @SOwithoutAneros is correct in that the rewiring process involves creating new neural pathways to orgasm as a result of your shift in your attention and awareness. The apparent delay for erectile response may also be partially due to your advancing age and to subconscious thoughts about the perceived changes of these new neural circuits which now share brain electro-chemical energy resources.
I'm trying to be equal with both but I wonder if you stimulate them (both separately ) would one be a little more dominant over the other ?
I suppose one mode of behavior could become more dominant as a result of this rewiring process. I think it has to do with the amount of focused energy you consciously and subconsciously apply to each mode of action.
Is this part of the rewiring process?
Yes, I believe it is.
Good Vibes to You!
I am a good 20 years older than you Spickester, but here lately, the more I concentrate on the orgasmic feelings being generated by my prostate while stroking, the less my erectile quality is.
This rewiring business to me is not the old point and shoot methodology we employed as boys and men to rub a quick one out for relief or for whatever purpose.
Savoring the orgasmic feelings being generated by my prostate up into my penis while diddling my nipples and stroking takes attention and focus away from anything about hardness and erections. I can recall being hard hard several years ago when my journey into dry orgasms began, but now as I advance into deeper and more pleasurable prostate and orgasmic delight, I am about 80 to 90% hard. It just doesn't matter to me. The orgasmic feelings are my key source of joy. Of course, if I were sporting a diamond hard erection, I would be even more appreciative for what I am feeling, but with seven decades and focusing on wonderful orgasmic feelings, I am not that concerned.
