Hi all,

I have been using the HELIX for about a month now and have no problem reaching super o at all, however I do feel at times when having a super o that im going to die if i don't breathe (I know it won't happen), it's just that aspect of the super o that i find unpleasureable, are there any tips you can give me on how to control my breathing when I reach this stage.

Cheers,

Lee.

Hello Lee,

Congratulations on your progress and welcome to the Forum.

Early in my journey I caught myself holding my breath during intense pleasure waves. I think this was a carryover from an old practice of holding my breath as I'd approach traditional orgasm during sex. An early g/f and I had used breath control to explore the effects of mild hypoxia and it 'stuck' as an ingrained habit.

Rather than "control" your breathing, relax and push the orgasm away from you a bit then allow it to slowly wash over you.

Enjoy, rook

I tend to hold my breath in when it comes too. It's hard to do, but I've found if I'll just relax a bit and let the breath slowly out it helps.

Go online and research Yoga breathing. This might help you as it helps to oxygenate your system fully in a natural relaxing way. It will take a bit of practice to fall into and maintain the depth and scope of the breathing technique, but do not worry - over a fairly short period you will fall right into the natural rythmn of it all.

How long did your "super-O" last? If you breathed, did you still have "super-O"? Were you sure you were not in a erotic asphyxiation phase, which isn't "super-O" as I know it.

It's funny, but controlling my breathing has been one of the most difficult parts of the experience. Slowing it down a bit really helps me though.

I read that during orgasms during regular sex, if you breathe deeply, almost to the point of hyperventilation, that it greatly intensifies the O. I've been doing it for over 25 years now, and I can't remember a time that I ever regretted doing it. It does make O's kind of loud, but well worth the effort.

Agree with Geogio, there is a good section in the WIKI about this: Getting Started - Aneros Wiki

If possible, could you describe what steps you take while doing your deep breathes? Do you just focus on standard diaphragm breathing? How long is each breathe, is it more like panting or extremely deep breathes?

It's mostly hyperventilating; I just breathe deep and as fast as needed. It seems to get things going along, kind of like kick-starting the O.
