Hey all,
I bought a progasm but I dont even get out a drop. This is my first Aneros and I now that this is for advance users, but I went with the big one because I am a pretty big guy however there is more to this. I am 40 but when I was 22 I had Prostate surgery to lance an abcess that had a lot of puss in it. This pretty much left me impotent. So Viagra and Levitra and I hate both as I dont like the feeling the racing heart the other issues that come with it. I have low blood pressure to begin with and Levitra makes it really low so I feel terrible. I bout the Aneros to massage the prostate and hopefully help with Impotence if that is possible. Anyhow My prostate was split literally in half by the abcess but the urologist said it looks normal now. When I put in the Progasm it does feel good but not great and after like a hour of use I am luck to have one drop come out of my penis. I have heard of people actually ejaculating but I am interested in the massage per se. If I cum I am good with that too. Any tips. Should I have gone with a different model? well thanks for reading this in advance.
Masterofnone.

Sorry I can't help you with the prostrate question but I can the impotence. I had a neurological problem a few years ago that left me unable to get an erection without the aid of Viagra. Coupled with that I suffer with high blood pressure that leaves me unable to cum. HOWEVER, I only bought my Aneros a couple of weeks ago and have only used it three times so far, but on the first two occasions I didn't take Viagra and on all three occasions I did get an erection and I did manage to finish with a penile orgasm. On the third occasion, when I tried using Viagra, I didn't notice a great difference in my performance compared to my sessions without.
In short I am certain that these devices can help with ED.
(BTW I'm 42 and don't produce any pre-cum at all)
Hey Masterofnone;
Have you talked to your doctor about the penile suppositories? It's called Muse, but because it is a local stimulant, it may not give the other side-effects that the oral pills have. Also, try an L-Arginine cream and rub on your penis; it should allow a decent erection without the side effects elsewhere. Is there a Dr here that could give advice on this?
Hi Masterofnone,
What type of procedure did you receive to drain your prostate abscess? Older radical prostate surgical procedures and some rectal surgical procedures (as in removing the rectum for cancer or other conditions) can cause impotence from damage to the nerves there. In cases like that the Muse penile suppository or the Caverject penile injection may be able to help produce an erection. Though I'm a physician, I'm no urologist and so I wonder what your urologist thinks about the possibility of your sustaining nerve damage with your original procedure. slimjm.

Thanks for all of the replies!
As for the surgery they went through my perinum and installed a drain and line into the abcess. Every day I had to inject antibiotic solution up the drain for 15 minutes and then let it drain out. The drain remained in there for 10 days. The incesion was pretty big. My current urologist only talked to me about Levitra, Viagra, Cialus, and a penis pump. I used viagra in my younger years but still it made me very flushed, the Levitra is a little more mild but once its in full effect it last a long time like 12 hours of misery. I have never tried Cialus but to me the pills do all the same thing by lowering the BP and relaxing the smooth muscles and that allows blood to flow. Problem for me is my BP is low naturally. I thought about talking about the pump with them but not sure that is a good way to go. Never heard of Muse or Caverject. I will discuss these with him next visit. Currently I have been taken testosterone shots as my T was low and erections have been a little more natural but no better than whan I was in my late 20's which I really couldn't get a firm good erection after the surgery. Not taking the Testosterone for erections anyways but I do get them at night and in the morning which hasnt happened in over 10 years. Just so you know I use to be very active basketball 4 days a week for 2 hours at a time. Played a lot of tennis. Blood pressure was always good pulse was always around 45-55 a minute. I work in Software Development so I sit a lot and well dont have time to ball anymore so I have let myself go to some degree. Currently I am 6'3" 206 pounds heaviest I have ever been. Typically I have been 180 my whole adult life. Well enough rambling but I am out of shape and I wonder if that is why I have such bad heart Papitations with levitra.
Thanks for reading my rambling and thanks for the replies I will for sure ask the doc about those other options.

Hi, Masterofnone. The information you shared is helpful and encouraging. Sorry to hear you had such a big abscess and related treatment so young. Sounds to me, in my non-expert opinion, that you could have sustained some degree of nerve injury in the course of that infection and/or procedure to treat it. The fact that you could sustain a partial erection in your late twenties and can apparently still obtain results with Viagra and Levitra is encouraging and suggests you still have some remaining nerve function which is good. Your side effect experience with those drugs sounds typical, the Viagra causing the flushing and palpitations somewhat more than the Levitra does. I'm assuming the "12 hours of misery" you describe following a full dose of Levitra being the uncomfortable partial to full erections occurring the remainder of the night after "you're through" and trying to sleep, and if this is so, then that's a great problem because it means the drugs can work very well for you, suggesting you have a good degree of remaining nerve function. Keeping a good testosterone level is helpful too so continue let your urologist manage those levels for you.
For fun, I've tried each of the erectile pills since we get free samples of them at the office and my side effect experience with Viagra, which came out first years ago, and then Levitra is about exactly the same as yours. I've never taken one and measured my blood pressure before and after it takes effect to see if there's any change, but it's my understanding that the blood pressure effect if any is small, and should not affect a healthy guy, though as you know a pronounced drop in blood pressure with these medications can occur with someone taking nitroglycerin as for their heart. You can certainly bring up the subject of the Muse penile suppository or the Caverject injections with your urologist, but I think it would be simpler to try a smaller dose of Levitra (say 5 to 10 mg, assuming it was the full 20 mg dose that kept you "up" all night) since this one causes less flushing than the Viagra (though likewise a 25 to 50 mg dose of it would cause less flushing than a full 100 mg dose would) and see what results you get. Also, a lot of men forget that food has an effect upon absorption of these drugs and on a full stomach it takes a bigger dose to get an effect you can feel and then that bigger dose gets absorbed slowly all through the night, hence the "discomfort" all night. Try a smaller dose on an empty stomach and you should get a quicker rise to effective blood levels (and thus erectile effect) with a quicker drop off afterward in drug levels with that smaller dose thus giving you less annoying effects during the rest of the night.
Finally, I'd suggest you try Cialis, as this causes almost no flushing feelings, though it does last much longer (a day or two). However, this is not an uncomfortable feeling that you're going to suddenly have an erection you can't control during that time but rather the capability to get a firm erection whenever stimulated. Finally, I know we all don't feel our best doing desk jobs and not getting the activity we'd like, but the real medical risk factors for erectile health are smoking and untreated cholesterol (which cause blockages in those important arteries down there) and untreated diabetes with the nerve damage it causes. I do have some men in my practice who have essentially complete nerve damage as a cause of their impotence but the Caverject injections work for them suggesting it can help in cases of extreme nerve function loss. Sounds like you don't this degree of nerve function loss though and that's great for you.
Hope you find something that works just right for you, but the drugs would be much simpler for now. Best wishes with everything. Slimjm
