So I was recently watching a documentary based on ancient Egypt and part of it mentioned and shown on hieroglyphics the use of blue lotus in ritual to help transcend the individual.

Looking further into the flower and it's uses, I wondered if anyone had any experience of this or similar acting herbs to facilitate meditation or even aneros/aless practices?

Please let me know of experiences and thoughts thanks 🙏

I dabbled in it a while ago. You can't really get true "blue lotus" anymore its been bred out of existence due to its near-hallucinogenic and euphoric qualities. What's out there now is more purple than blue. But, its in the related family of the flower and it still carries some of the effects.

I've smoked it with both weed, damiana, and a mix of those two. It does do something for sure, but its mild. I've vaped it a few times too and its hard to get the temperature right but it works better. Best is soaking it as a tincture in red wine or vodka/gin. That's how you really extract its important chemicals and such.

I have found my orgasms to be more expansive in a dream-like way. It is soothing and makes you a bit relaxed. If smoked with weed it enhances the effects a bit. For meditation its really neat and works good. I never did the tincture way yet, I've nearly run out of dried flowers and its something I don't really think about doing much so I forget to prepare the tincture.

I got my flowers from etsy sites in the past.

@techpump  thank you. Yes I looked up making a wine with It on YouTube. Apparently it's s good aphrodisiac this way but I guess potentially not as good for meditation if you're consuming alcohol?

I think you keep the flowers inside a jar with the wine for around 2 to 4 weeks and some people like to begin it on new moon cycles and open on a full moon if you want to be more spiritual about it.

I'm not sure if there is any left as such in Egypt anymore. I think a lot is grown in Thailand. I think the Egyptians probably smoked the shit out of it to extinction lol.

Yes aphrodisiac quality is very good, makes you a bit horny even when smoked! And no not good for meditation, its mild when vaped/smoked, but stronger when in alcohol. I've never done the alcohol version, I really should try with the last flowers I have left. The moon business yes, its magical in that way, I have read online that people swear by the moon cycles making it work better. It was on the way to become banned and actually was banned in some places due to its strong narcotic/inebriating quality, like if you smoked it or drank it and took a drive you'd crash kind of thing. A few sites I read about blue lotus history said it was bred out of existence because it was too strong or dangerous, yet, someone has to still have it somewhere. Underground I bet you can find seeds for the real thing still, you just can't buy it online, or headshops might sell it.

Very interesting

Is there a way to make a tincture without alcohol for those that don not drink?

Can coconut oil or some other oil based product work to extract the "goodness?"

Anyone care to share and recipes on how much to use for a strong dosage?

No side effects that I can feel, but look on Google there could be some mild ones.

I got something from Etsy, an organic natural herbal store, the flowers are purple in color just like everything available online. HOpe this helps!
