Hello. First of all, I apologize if it's inappropriate to make a topic about not using the Aneros in a forum dedicated to using the Aneros. However I don't know where else to post this, so let's continue.

So I learned about the prostate and what kinds of orgasms you can achieve and it's definitely something I'd like to experience one day. The issue is that I do not want to use the Aneros to experience this, for two reasons:

1. I am not comfortable with having things up my ass.
2. I live with my parents right now, the fear of them finding out about the toy would be too much for me.

I've tried two different techniques so far, with about the same amount of success. The first one being external prostate stimulation. Basically just pressing an object against my perineum. The good thing about this method is that it is a bit more stimulating, but the downside is that my arms tire and my hands start to cramp after some time, so it makes it harder to relax.

The other technique I've tried is by only using my thoughts/breathing to stimulate the prostate (or alternatively, stimulating the penis seems to work too). Using this method allows me to relax more, since I don't have to focus on applying pressure to the prostate. The downside is that it takes longer before things start happening since there's less stimulation involved.

So I'll try to describe what I have experience so far. Keep in mind I have only done this for about a month.

It usually starts off with me feeling a subtle tingling sensation near my perineum. This sensation is shortly followed by a nice feeling of pressure that is kind of pulsating, I suspect this is what you refer to as p-waves. The waves keeps appearing/disappearing and usually they grow in intensity. Thought, they're very inconsistent, sometimes there's almost no time between them, sometimes they disappear for quite sometime.

When a new wave approaches I usually experience something else as well, for example:

A tingling sensation that spreads throughout the body.
A feeling of warmth in my chest.
Elevated heart rate.
Whole body is trembling a little.
Minor spasms.
Quicker breathing.
Body tensing up.
Sometimes I get the unpleasant numb feeling I think is referred to as "pins and needles", I stop when this happens.

I get to the point where the waves start to feel really good, but then they just suddenly decrease in intensity, until they are almost completely gone and I have to start over again.

So I'd appreciate your input here. Is this good progress for a month of trying? Any idea how I could take it to the next step?

To give some more specific questions:

Should I let my body tense up, or should I try to keep it relaxed at all times? Every time a wave hits me, it tenses up a bit and I don't really notice it unless I manually decide to relax my muscles. If I let it tense up too much, my neck gets very stiff and it's not very pleasant.

Should I try to control my breathing, or just let my body decide how it want to do it? Does it matter whether I breath through my mouth or nose, my throat tends to get very dry if I breath through my mouth. I think being too strict about controlling my breath is what have caused the pins and needles feeling, though I am not quite sure.

I'd be very thankful about hearing about your opinion!

@throwawayacc too bad you can't use Aneros massager; you would most likely hit the jackpot right away and this with much less efforts and worries. My experience in exploring the back door, before purchasing my Helix Syn was similar to yours but not quite as successful. Since inserting my device the first time, I have not looked back. I have been at is since Jan 2016 and my wife has no idea about it. When there is a will, I find the way. Life is wonderful specially when you have found the pleasures of prostate play.

@throwawayacc Like @GGringo I started with Aneros in Feb 16 as a complete newbie. I stopped for about 6 months but recently started up again. My wife never really knew about the details nor did she want to know. I started prostate massage primarily to control BPH symptoms (which you probably don't have yet!) A companion website for prostate massagers is High Island Health (highisland.com) and I recently bought their new 950 Pro-State prostate massager to again control BPH symptoms (see my blog post). This is a legitimate medical device and not a toy. It is definitely helping with the BPH.

Regarding you first point, the 'anal' uneasiness is quite understandable and we've all experienced it. But when you compare the sheer pleasure of a prostate orgasm (and only you as a male can ever experience it) to, say, the pleasure of a "regular" ejaculation, it can be mind-blowing! All you really need is a massager and some lube and you're off and running! You may not be ready now, but please don't turn your back on the experience of a lifetime! I just wish I had "started" with Aneros years (actually decades!) ago! My life has never been the same and has never been better! Good luck to you!

The good thing about this method is that it is a bit more stimulating, but the downside is that my arms tire and my hands start to cramp after some time, so it makes it harder to relax.

Since you currently have an aversion to any anal insertion device you might wish to consider something as simple as sitting on a tennis ball or racquet ball and rocking on it during your session. You might also investigate purchasing the Prostate Cradle, a few Aneros users have also used this device (I can't comment on it because I've not used one).

Since you seem to be having good progress with this approach and are experiencing many Anerosless effects I'd strongly recommend you purchasing Jack Johnston's Key Sound Multiple Orgasm training program.

So I'd appreciate your input here. Is this good progress for a month of trying? Any idea how I could take it to the next step? Should I let my body tense up, or should I try to keep it relaxed at all times? Should I try to control my breathing, or just let my body decide how it want to do it? Does it matter whether I breath through my mouth or nose, my throat tends to get very dry if I breath through my mouth.

Efficient breathing is important and learning an appropriate technique will help greatly. Without trying to explain in detail here what may work for you, I would suggest you invest in the KSMO program. The advantage of the KSMO program is that you can get personal tutoring from Jack during his monthly interactive chat sessions. He can provide you excellent tips and insights to advance your orgasmic practice. Once you've mastered that technique your future Anerosessions will be doubly effective. Good Vibes to You !

I agree with @rumel about sitting on a tennis ball. I also suggest to incorporate deep breathing during your session.

I know that feeling of embarrassment if your parents ever found your secret aneros stash. As for me I am in the same predicament, but luckily my parents have not found my secret stash and I hope they never will in my opinion.

If you're worried about parents finding your toys, im in the same boat. Currently in at school but I bought a little locking pencil case for when I go home. So even if they do end up finding the pencil case, they wont be able to get in it.

I appreciate your answers!

Any toy is pretty much out of the question until I get my own place, which could take years sadly.

KSMO seems interesting! I browsed their forum a bit and I experimented a bit with trying to find the correct 'uh' sound. I think I understand what it's supposed to sound and feel like, though I haven't understood how to actually utilize it properly because I haven't bought the program yet. But it seems to me that the 'uh' sound is similar to moaning. Could it be that many (mostly women) learn to use the 'uh' sound a little bit to enhance the pleasure by trial and error?

A bit unrelated, I had a weird experience last night. I woke up and had a strong sensation in the tip of my penis. It was also pulsating, and it felt like I was going to get an orgasm. However, it kinda felt similar to the ordinary male orgasm, and I thought if I let it happen I'd ejaculate. So I did everything I could to not let it happen. Perhaps this is not an uncommon thing to happen, but nothing like this has ever happened to me.

I also made some progress this morning, kind of. I found a different method of stimulating myself. If I put some gentle pressure on the bottom side of my penis shaft, close to where it meets the balls, then I quickly start to experience p-waves. Though this isn't actually prostate stimulation, it feels similar. The exception is that it's more localized in and near the penis. I actually let the elastic band from my underwear push against that point, which allowed me to relax my arms and hands.
I got to experience a very intense p-wave, it almost felt as intense as an ordinary ejaculatory orgasm, except more spread out through the body. I don't know if it was an actual orgasm, I don't think so. Nevertheless, it was a great experience and after I felt very happy and energized!

Oh wow, oh wow! Huge progress today! I feel like sharing this with everyone I know, but too bad it's a taboo subject, so I'll just post it here instead. Man, I'm progressing so fast, it's insane!

I was really tired and decided to go to bed early. While in bed I decided to give my own Elastic-Underwear-Band-Aganist-Penis-Stem-Technique™ another try. So I just relaxed and felt the waves come and go. Sadly, they disappeared after a while and I decided to go to the bathroom and then go to sleep.

But I couldn't really resist the temptation to continue, so I decided to use the same method again but this time not focusing on the sensations, but rather to try to sleep. That way I'd be satisfied no matter the result. What was interesting though, is that this time I didn't feel any waves like I almost do every time. I just assumed it wouldn't work. This has been my mistake all along, I thought the waves were a necessary part of the orgasm.

I almost fell asleep but then I noticed that I was feeling most of the other sensations of the build up, such as intense heat, spasms, etc. Because there were no p-waves, I could relax much more than I usually do. Maybe this is what caused me to progress.

Not long after, I could feel a long build-up. It felt like my penis was inflating like a balloon. And it was pulsating and vibrating a lot. It kept on building up until it felt like it was going to explode, then suddenly it felt like I was ejaculating, but not in an explosive manner like a normal orgasm, but in a really slow and steady way. But the amount of semen actually exiting was minimal, even though it went on for at least 10 seconds. Maybe all of it was just pre-cum.

The orgasm itself wasn't actually that intense. Slightly less intense than a normal ejaculatory orgasm I'd say. What was really amazing though is the effect it had on me afterwards. When I went to bed I was really tired, but after the orgasm I felt extremely calm and energized. I had way too much energy to actually sleep so instead I just decided to go write this post.

Another interesting thing happened shortly after I was done with the session. The point on my penis that I applied pressure on could be felt for some time afterwards. I tried to stimulate it by using thoughts only, and wow, it felt really good. Like it only took a few seconds for some really intense sensations to appear. I couldn't lie still while doing it, and I had to stop doing it because it felt like I would start to make a lot of noise, and I didn't want my parents to hear me. Is this some kind of re-wiring?

I doubt anyone cares, but here's some more progress:

This morning I managed to tape an object to my perineum so I could just relax. I did not have an orgasm, but the pleasure waves were very powerful, near the same level as a traditional orgasm. And they just kept coming. I have no idea how long I just laid there and enjoyed it.

When I finally stopped I noticed how sensitive my body had become. Stimulating my nipples felt pretty good, and gently rubbing the foreskin on the tip of my penis felt absolutely amazing.
