I often read on this site about the measures that many aneros users take to get themselves aroused before a session. These may include visual or aural porn, sound frequencies, music and so on. Maybe I'm just lucky, because although I sometimes indulge in a bit of nip stim before a session I can have a successful ride without any prior arousal activity. Last night was a case in point. I simply lay on my side on my bed, lubed up myself and my helix syn, relaxed and inserted it slowly and then did nothing. Within the first five minutes I felt pleasurable stirrings down below and these quickly built up to a point where I experienced a whole series of orgasms involving a lot of involuntary shaking, trembling and moaning - I can get quite vocal on these occasions. Lucky no one else in the house to hear.

The point I wanted to make is that elaborate arousal measures before a session are not necessary for all of us, and I suspect that many like me are perfectly able to start a session from "cold" once they have become sufficiently rewired.

For me personally it seems like things like porn can greatly increase my arousal, but as soon as I stop watching it, my arousal goes back to where it were. I also quickly get bored with the same image/video etc, and need to find a new one. For that reason it doesn't seem very useful for me either. Honestly, I think physical stimulation works the same. If I add physical stimulation, my arousal increases, but only as long as I keep stimulating myself.

@wulff IMHO, most of us guys (myself included) are not very vocal during sex. Consequently, we are also not very vocal during an Aneros session. That is a shame, because by holding some of that euphoria in, could it be that we are not fully realizing all that we can experience in our session. Sometimes when I am alone in the house, I have to "force" myself if I want to be vocal during a session. But usually during sex, I will be moaning often (I don't even think about it, it just happens) and I think that increases my arousal. So by that reasoning, moaning during an Aneros session should be encouraged and may also increase my arousal. Of course, if the house is not empty, I will unfortunately have to muffle the moans. Touche!

Throwawayacc: Tell the rest of us who are pursuing the super O about the different forms of physical stimulation you use. A good list would help me, and maybe others. Thanks

The trouble with porn as an arousal aid is that it is always in some degree penis orientated, and surely that is not the way we want to go in the quest for prostate pleasure which IMHO is in a totally different league. As for physical stimulation, if/when I use it it is nipple stimulation. I always leave my dick well alone unless I want to "clear the tubes"
by conventional masturbation .

I have noticed the same thing when I am not particularly aroused and things just start to happen. I am still at a point where sessions can be inconsistent, so this is not always the case.

Curious how long have you been practicing prostate massage?

My first Aneros experience was just under two years ago, and I was fortunate to have made rapid progress from that time on.

Oh, don't misunderstand me. I am nowhere near a super O, I've had some p-waves and two not-so-intense non-prostate dry Os. You're probably way ahead of me in this journey.
With that said it seems I am sufficiently rewired so that I can get some increase in arousal no matter where I touch myself. Nipples are my favorite place though, they're easy to reach and seems to be directly linked to the prostate.

What about VR-porn? You got wacky new genres like being a girl with another girl or even a guy if you like that. There is shemale stuff and whatnot.
I also like it that with a headset on and earphones in your completely into it without any distractions. It might seem like a hassle with the wires and a things on your face, and to some degree it is, but it feels way more comfy and nice than you would think. I also got a cheap 10,- plastic thing. Not even talking about the higher grade cooler shit.

I also don't think about enhancing arousal as a need. Things like doing Vr, or erotic hypnosis require some setup and time and therefore you don't feel like doing it much but it adds some variety which I think is important. Not even just for fun; take a new angles on things for the sake of learning.
