Bought my Aneros last weekend, had never even heard of such a thing! Have made some progress, wondering if there are some hints from the old pros about moving another step forward. Here's where I'm at:

Found a Progasm at a local Sex Shop. It was the only model they had in stock, but I wasn't too concerned with the larger size. Wife has worked me over in the past with things bigger than this, and it does seem fine for me.

1st try: I put it in at bedtime, and left it in. I was pretty much clueless as to what was going on, but did manage to feel some really nice 'Waves' washing over me.

2nd try: It was about 90 minutes at nap time. I decided to try to just relax, without really doing much else. Felt some more 'Waves', stronger this time. Was an enjoyable session.

3rd try: I put it in at bedtime again, and forced myself to just relax and basically do nothing at all. Just let it build. Again felt some really nice 'Waves', and this time started to feel something building down below. It was almost like a throbbing, like something was swelling up. Sometime along the way I dozed off, and that's when it got interesting. I suddenly awoke with some serious 'Waves' washing over me. My heart was thumping 90 mph, and I was breathing pretty heavy. It felt very similar to a conventional Orgasm, but with no erection. But it played out after only about 15-30 seconds, leaving me wanting much more. I wasn't able to get this feeling back until I dozed off again, then the same thing. Probably happened 3 or 4 times during the night.

It's a really exciting feeling, but I'm wondering if anyone has any hints to get it to continue, instead of just fizzling out? Or do I just need to continue what I'm doing, and eventually my body will 'rewire' itself and move on to the next level? Even sitting here typing, I feel my Prostate 'aching', like it needs a release that I didn't get.

Last night on my 3rd try, I started to have the feeling that I needed to do something else to get past where I was getting......Any insight would be highly appreciated.

Hi JRS7,

Welcome to the Forums,

It sounds like you are doing just fine in your initial excursions on the Aneros journey. You've already begun to "awaken" your prostate, that is demonstrated by the "...aching..." feeling you noted (I prefer to think of it as a 'longing for attention' feeling) and you have begun experiencing P-waves. You may wish to read about some of the other Milestones you may encounter on this adventure.

The journey you have embarked upon can not be rushed or forced to occur more rapidly, it is an evolving learning experience of accumulating sensations which need to be allowed time to assimilate in your mind. Progress is not always linear or continuous, there may be times when you feel like you are in a stagnant pool or a whirlpool eddy going nowhere. When these occur try something a little different but don't lose heart, patience and persistence will get you moving again back into the pleasure stream.

P.S. I sent you an introductory PM with some additional hints and tips to get you started here.

Dude!

You're in the right place, and no doubt many an Aneros Brother is about to ride to your assistance. I'm quite the newbie, but I was blessed with some almost-immediate success that I'm now trying to "fine tune."

Working with the Aneros is an art as much as a science. The processes involved require a sort of paradoxical "focused relaxation." There are things one can do to nudge things along, but most of them are very, very subtle. And for many of us, it will take time and practice to master.

From my own very limited experience (less than one week with around 6 or 7 "sessions" total), your "do nothing" approach is one that is commonly recommended. But there are other things you can do to help things along, such as getting "aroused" before you insert your Aneros, breathing from the belly, stimulating your erogenous zones like your nipples, thighs, etc., vocalizing (moaning, sighing, etc.), and so on.

Check out the Wiki, especially the Getting Started section. There are also a number blogs, stickys, and other material here that can also help you. A nice starting point might be to check out some of the links in the first PM you received upon joining here, a copy of which I have linked to, titled Newbies Notebook, from experienced forum member Rumel. That message is full of awesome links that can really help you with where you are at right now.

The last piece of advice I might offer is to be patient. Although I'm at the very beginning of my Aneros journey, much like you, I have seen and felt enough to know what is possible, and I'm motivated to put in the work, and the relaxation in order to cultivate a deeper appreciation an eventually, some level of mastery over, this amazing body I've been blessed to be born into for a time.

As a student of yoga and various contemplative disciplines (meditation), I see "Aneros Work" as being in a similar class of "self-development" and "self-healing." While these practices can be enjoyed and appreciated right away, it is only with patient persistence that their full potential may be realized.

I wish you much luck on your journey!

Namaste, brother!

Hello, JRS7.

Welcome to Asstronut Mission Control, aka Aneros Forum.

Your feeling that you need to "do something" to get to the next level will become your worst enemy of Aneros progress if you choose to pursue that line of thought. Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do to speed things along. As Xochi mentioned above, you can try some Yoga and Zen-like techniques, but ultimately, your body will simply figure this thing out all on its own, if you let it.

So, chill. Be happy with what you get, and enjoy the ride.

Best Regards,

Dave

I disagree. Not everyone is retired at home and have Aneros up theirs all day and night like you 🙂 Your particular part of muscle must be so strong now that you can crack walnut with easy. Just because you got there by "doing nothing" which I highly doubt it.

The official Aneros wiki has some good techniques like touch touching other part of body and deep breathing to help newbie to move to next level. You seem to be happy to post every day to tell them "doing nothing" is the best for everyone. I don't understand your intention.

Aneros only helps to open up the pelvic area chakras/meridians, other chakras/meridians and channels need to be open for whole body orgasm, i.e super-O.

Hello, hydrogen;

FYI, I am employed 50 to 55 hours a week, plus I do consulting on the side. That's the reason I only use Aneros at night: no time in the day to play, even on weekends. 🙁

As for the "Do Nothing" technique; all I try to say is, it worked for me. Other approaches have worked well for other guys. The "superior" method is always whatever works for a particular individual. The only way to discover that is to experiment.

Frankly, I have no idea what the minimum set of requirements is before a Super-O can be achieved. Maybe someone here can enlighten me.

Sincerely,

Dave

I have to agree with Dave. I am another Aneros user for whom "do nothing" works by far the best!

That may be a bit of an exaggeration. Maybe I should describe it as "make very mild contractions of sphincter, PC and rectal muscles from time to time but otherwise do nothing"!

I find that making any other bodily movements tends to kill the the process.

I don't try to regiment myself, but I don't exactly "do nothing," either. Pommie's addendum is the most accurate way for me to describe my process.

However, I do let my entire body get involved. When you think about it, the sensations from the Aneros have to be transmitted all the way up the spinal cord, and during the peak of my session today, when I totally let go and let my body do what it wanted to, I found myself twitching and shaking, like a fast, rhythmic earthquake, in my torso. I imagine it looked like I was getting electroshock therapy or something, but it was absolutely incredible--it was the first thing I've experienced solely from Aneros that I would describe as an orgasm. It lasted for maybe a minute, and afterwards my hands were left tingling, for reasons unknown. It was practically mind-blowing.

Exactly, it's a different method of controlling/guiding/using your body with your mind, not so much with your muscles. I can honestly say who said he did "do nothing" to get super-o is lying or is not sensitive enough to his own body to realize what's going on.

Aneros is a just a lifeless piece of plastic. It's not voodoo dick to give you super-O by itself.
