Another Terrific Modification: Burn and Bend, Baby

Greetings Gentlemen-

I recently picked up a medium Njoy prostate Pfun plug (the curvy one) to diversify my arse-nal a bit, and liked the different responses. There were more immediate contractions and pressure; this is more of a straight-to-the-point toy.

Anyway, I got to thinking about the amount of pressure that my stable of Aneros puts against my prostate, and decided that a little more anterior bend for some of them (towards the stomach) might be pretty cool. Aneros are plastic, and I have a number of good torch lighters...how about a little Macgyvering?

I didn't want to ruin anything, especially not the more expensive models, so I figured I'd sacrifice the Peridise twins in the name of science. I took out a torch, and gently rotated the toy and waved the flame around the bottom of the heads, at the thin part at the bottom of the bulb. After about 10-15 seconds, being careful not to overheat or scald the things, I was able to bend the heads into about a 30˚ angle from the shafts.

Then to the empirical testing- a profound difference! More pronounced contact with my prostate, more sensation, quicker response and contractions. A vast improvement- except that now the plastic flanges at the bottom weren't comfortable. The more I angled the head to press against my prostate, the more the shaft angled forward toward my perineum, which made the flanges dig into the tender spot just at the front edge of my anus.

The solution was to heat the bottom joint between the flanges and the shafts, and bend the flanges backward a bit, angling them away. Now the flanges are sloped downward, and the Peridises are perfect and comfy, and they're considerably more effective. Way more fun to sit on!

Why stop there? Never fear- I didn't. I have some doubles, like the Helix and Helix Syn, and the Euphos too. I've never gotten the response I've wanted from these, so I heated the Helix and Eupho and bent them at the lower thin part; the narrow spot below the head is too thick, but the one below that works after some patient heating. And voila, this worked too- I enjoy them both a lot more. But again, I had to modify the arms to make the P and K tabs sit right; the K tabs were floating in space, and the P tabs were a bit too aggressive. But the arms on the Aneroses are wonderfully easy to bend, and also bend back- less time heating, careful not to scald, and gentle bending. I've taken them back to the mad scientist's lab a few times, and I keep warming and bending them around. It's a blast experimenting with the different possibilities. So far, I've modified my Peridises, Helix, Eupho, and adjusted the tabs on my MGX Trident, Maximus and Progasm; I've found that I like the P contact to be a little closer to my scrotum, and the K tab a bit farther from my backside.

If you're looking for a change, go carefully, but I highly recommend this mod. Our bodies are all different, right? Now my toys have fuzzy dice, flame jobs, and nitrous. I'll wait for you at the finish line.

Best of Pleasures,
Z

P.S. I never figured out how to correctly post pics, but I'll try again. These are neat to see.

Except... the peridise is not a prostate device but an anal canal device.

So have you ever modified one of the silicone models, and would it work the same way? Just got the MGX Syn Trident and I think the P-tab placement is too close to my anus to work correctly, I've been wondering about doing something like this for a while.

The silicone models have a hard plastic core. It's unlikely you could get sufficient heat to the core before the silicone burned.

I think @twlltin is right- you'd melt the silicone and have to toss the thing. I agree with the tab placement, but I find the syn tabs are bendy enough where you can keep playing with them and get them to go where you want a little more. Also, it always helps to keep your perineum oil and lube free; I like to shave down under, and when I'm smooth and dry, the tabs stay put better.

Good luck.

PS- how is the MGX syn otherwise?

One of the hardest and most annoying parts of my sessions is that the P-tab and that area is nearly always wet. I keep a rag handy specifically for wiping off my perineum and the P-tab, and it has to be done more often than I'd like! If I could have my own personal modification, I would make the P-tab larger, and I would give it tread like a tire. If my perineum isn't dry, it's like driving uphill on a wet road with racing slicks. I've seen someone do that (rear-wheel-drive too) and the car just went all over the place.

PS- how is the MGX syn otherwise?

I've only used it a few times, the first was extremely uncomfortable. The second time I made sure to pre-lube in a big way using my Shibari lube launcher, and coated the MGX well with extra lube on top of that. That felt much better (and it's possible that I was having anal sphincter issues the previous time). I own two other models but they're both Helix variants so I can only compare the MGX to them. Those ribs on the MGX can take some getting used to and while I'd like to think that they'd be extremely stimulating, in reality I'd call them distracting instead. The Helix definitely makes better contact with my prostate and I feel like I'm making some real progress with the Helix Syn Trident right now; I kind of feel like the MGX is a step backward. I do like the more pronounced contact of the P- and K-tabs on the MGX but I think they're a little too close together to hit quite the correct spot and they are definitely aggressive, probably too much for some people. With the HST I feel like sometimes I don't get enough contact until the toy really gets going. Also, the silicone is much the same as the Helix Syn Trident, and I think I prefer the silicone of the older Helix Syn better myself, that's personal preference but the newer silicone seems "drier," for lack of a better word (I wrote a lengthy review of the HST here). I suppose that it's good for me to try the MGX and it's good to have that option in the arsenal, but it'll take me a while before I'm using it a lot, if ever. When Aneros released both the MGX and Eupho Syn Trident models, I had to choose one to buy and I figured that because I haven't reached the super-O yet I should still consider myself a beginner and decided to go with the model that is recommended to beginners. If I could go back and do it again, I think I would consider the Eupho to be a better investment. Perhaps just buyer's remorse and I'll feel differently once I feel the Eupho for myself! I know a lot of people love the MGX models, but for me it was certainly not love at first sight, or whatever you want to call it.

Yes, you can actually modify the P-tab or K-tab arms of the SYN models. While silicone is normally a good thermal insulator because of its relative thinness at the arm locations you can heat it sufficiently to bend and change its shape. Using a hot air gun you can get the inner plastic core material sufficiently heated to bend rather easily without burning the silicone covering. I know this from my own experimentation. The same cautions regarding P-tab arm modifications as mentioned in the Aneros WIKI apply here as well. This also applies to the K-tab arm. Good Vibes to You !

What torch did you use? I tested a heat gun on one of my throwaway broken Aneros and I couldn't bend it at all before the surface starting melting. What was your technique? Thanks!
