I just got the Aneros Helix Syn and I have used it twice. it feels good, but I don't feel like I'm working toward anything specifically. Essentially what I'm getting out of it is pleasurable tickling sensations as it rubs against my prostate. And I enjoy it, I've tried moving it fast, moving slow, breathing while flexing, different positions and leg movements. One thing that felt really good was to lay on one side and move the higher leg as if on a really slow bicycle.

It's actually really stimulating to get up and kind of jog around. But should I not do that? Trying too hard to get those feelings?

What should be the actual goal? I can get to a point where with a certain level of clenching/flexing there is some tickling/pleasure coming off the prostate. At that point do I want to just hold it there, and focus on that feeling to keep it coming as long as possible? But generally it just fades, and I have to move it a bit to keep the sensations happening.

Is it enough of a goal right now to just generally use it often and keep relaxing and keep massaging the prostate, and over time things will happen on their own? Or do I need to be doing something specific?

I've read the getting started wiki and a number of other threads. One thing that is said is to begin "aroused." Does this mean to begin with an erection already, or simply to be ready to play, and not be doing it out of some sense of obligation?

Another thing that is said often is to relax and focus on the feelings, and along with that to avoid the mindsets of fantasies and porn. Is it important not to think of arousing things? If I do get to the point of super O's, will I eventually be able to engage in a fantasy mindset while doing so? You know, picturing a specific sexual encounter, etc.

Honestly though I just enjoy the feeling of having it inside. I've read people talking about that, how it can possibly cause problems if you use the wrong kind of lubricant that dries up inside, and not manufacturer recommended, but a lot of people do it anyway. Do I need to specifically be relaxing and "working towards" P-waves and super O's and all that stuff, or is just having it inside and going about daily business going to be beneficial toward rewiring in the long run?

Even though I just have Astroglide, a water-based lubricant, I want to try to sleep with it sometime soon.

@NoOneAtAll Hi! I don't know if this is an answer to your question, but I want to tell gladly my own experience.
Last weekend I tried Aneros for the very first time. Have bought the Helix Syn and the Eupho Syn and read a lot on this fantastic website about preparation and technique of total relaxation. I started with erotic hypnosis and breathing technique and than with the Helix inserted. Felt very relaxed and good but without arousal yet. Slowly started with Kegel exercises lying on my back and after a short while I felt the excitement rise very nice, very slowly and uncontrollable with a very hard erection and also a clear tingling prostate. Continued with contractions and relaxations longer holding in a slow tempo and taking deep breathes and automatically started moving and bumping hips. Lovely feeling without orgasm, lying on my back is the best position for arousal. After half an hour with the Helix I had been alternating to the Eupho. It felt good but I felt less excitement of this, no erection and no prostate arousal. After half an hour again I inserted the Helix and immediately the tension and excitement came back again with a hard erection and contractions and hip bumps. After half an hour I ended the session with Helix, I inserted a prostate vibrator and a short time later I felt very aroused and the orgasm rising in my prostate. Almost handsfree, I came to a huge explosion and my cumshot came out of my stiff hard cock. Seems and feels like a combination of prostate orgasm and conventional orgasm I don't know for sure. Blissful highlight with much seed more than at a normal orgasm, with afterwards very long and quiet relaxation. What a great experience and feelings with Aneros for the first time! I hope to practice further on with Aneros sessions and on the way to a truly hands free super-O without ejaculation. Thank you for all the information on this site!

@NoOneAtAll ,

First - you defnately want to avoid manually working the Aneros ( I made that mistake my first session)- you said you try moving it fast and then slow - if you're using your hands you don't need too 🙂

The tickling sensation and pleasure you get when you move your leg is a good sign! I've also walked around or did the stairs to wake things up - I do however try to limit movements these days so that my rewiring is not dependent on large physical movement.

based on my experience you are on the right track. Having sessions and enjoying the sensations - For me the sensations would increase over time and I tried not to force it to happen. My early sessions would often fade as well- and that was an indicator that "that is enough for now" from my prostate.

here is how I address the arousal question - an erection is not "required" but it's obviously and indicator of arousal... my perenium (area between scrotum and anus) begins to swell and harden with arousal before my erection (possibly alongside it), but if I'm feeling a good "ache" growing there - I consider that arrousal as well. Kegles help get blood flowing and a good set of Kegles can sometimes provide just enough arousal for me. Lastly, if I go into a session with no expectations, I just have faith arousal (in some form) will come - so I enjoy the sensations, play the fantasy reel (I avoid porn) and if arousal comes great if not I might need to call it a night - they key for me was to not force it.

when I'm having Super Os I'm not really having sexual fantasies- it's just a really good feeling (like a great massage)... this will sound really odd, but what I do see is complex geometric shapes! Lol. As much as I'd like to see naked ladies dancing around - nope I get geometric shapes! Okay, I'm good with that because the feeling is what matters (for me anyway)! Cumming is also not at all important for me - in fact I don't want it or expect it with Aneros or Aless. But that's just my mindset.

i was also early on a "fan of longer sessions", but lately not so much. These days I'm like "okay prostate here is your toy - you got 75 minutes - use it or lose it!" I generally don't leave the EuphoSyn in longer than that for several reasons:
a) It's too easy to keep hoping and get frustrated.
b) I use Astroglide and Vaseline and I want to stop using the Vaseline - I've read that's not recommended. I only used the Vaseline to ensure there was enough lubrication at the end of a long session to easily remove it. Now that I'm riding shorter times I really don't need the V.
c) the only reason I slept with it in was in hope of some midnight awakening (and that did happen once or twice), but as I get increasingly more capable of Aless arousal - I prefer that in the middle of the night 🙂

the only device I tend to "leave in" now is the small Peridise (and only about two hours). I walk to work or run errands with it when I'm wanting to feel "stimulated". It's small enough that it comes out very easy (for me) when it's time to remove it.

Anyway, I hope that helps!
