Aneros does not live up to advertisement

Frankly, on the scale of 1 to 10, advertisement was 10 but the actual results hovered between 0.5 and 1. I am very disappointed. Aneros provides no stimulation at all; in fact, you get more out of plain "finger-in-anus" action. Even better, a plain enema nozzle is far more effective than the over-priced piece of plastic you sell as a miracle G-spot toy.

Please don't despair! First answer a couple questions: Which model did you choose? How many sessions have you spent with your Aneros?

enemanut,

We really do need to know a great deal more about your experience before we can offer you specific advice. As suggested by privateidaho03, it would be good to know which model of Aneros you have been using and for how long you have been using it.

You would be very lucky indeed if you experienced an immediate reaction from your first use of the device. I would strongly suggest you read some of the Wiki advice before attempting to pass judgement. You may have to try a few sessions of use of the device before you achieve any positive feedback from it. The golden rule seems to be that you should relax with the Aneros device inserted and just wait for something to happen. Eventually it will, usually when you least expect it. Patience is the key.

Don't give up yet. You have invested some money in this, you have the right to expect some return from your investment but you must be realistic in your expectations from that investment.

Good Luck

Pommie

Enemanut, how much of a chance have you given your Aneros device? Which model are you using and how are you using it? I had three "dud" sessions before my ability to orgasm with the Aneros kicked in. Many people take longer to achieve satisfaction with the devices but are more than glad they stuck with it.

You will find that this forum is an excellent venue for getting practical advice and support for getting the best from your device.

I can't help but note your name, Enemanut, and the mention that you get better results from digital stimulation or an enema nozzle. It's possible that you are looking for sensations akin to what you experience in those modes of prostate stimulation. The sensations of the Aneros devices are much more subtle at first for most people. You're not looking for the gross sensations of heavy prostate stim. Or rather, you *shouldn't* be looking for that. As I said, Aneros stimulation is much, much more subtle at the beginning anyway. Once you've learned to use it properly I can assure you you have NEVER felt the like from either fingers OR nozzles. 😉

I'm in the same situation. i haven't given up I knew there was a learning curve. i just cant help think I am doing something wrong. like inserting it incorrectly, not inserting it deep enough. contracting the wrong muscles and or not leaving it in long enough. My sessions last about an hour.
I don't want to have to buy another model so soon either. Before I purchased it I did read the faqs and have been re reading them for clues to my questions before posting.

Again, it would be nice to know the model. But to go over your list briefly:

1) Insertion
As long as the Aneros is inserted to a depth where it "sinks in" as it slides past the narrowest passage, and the p-tab is aimed at the perineum (the shorter tab on Progasm), you're doing it right.

2) Insertion depth
Do not attempt to force the massager any further after the "sliding in" part. If you have difficulty getting the massager to this point, gently keep the massager in place, and let muscles relax and allow it in. I've noticed that it can take many sessions before the muscles readily start to relax around the massager after insertion, so have patience.

3) Contractions
Focus on the duration of the contraction over force. Try to achieve sensation with the least physical input that you can control - at no point should you need to exert yourself to maintain a contraction. Come to think of it, proper relaxation and mental arousal should come first, before you focus on the contractions.

4) Session length
This is probably a personal thing, my sessions tend to last from a minimum of 1½ hours to about 3-4 hours. Not because I feel I need to, but because I want to, due to the sensations. Obviously if you're starting to feel sore or frustrated, you shouldn't try to drag on with the session. Try to have everything prepared for the session when you start, as the first hour is when most of the revelations seem to occur, for myself at least.

It takes time and sometimes doing nothing works best for me. This is just an observation of mine. It took me at LEAST 3 months before the aneros generated any good feelings or even felt comfortable. Also, I think being alone at home helps during a session, I get no results when I feel like someone is gonna walk in any minute. Just some thoughts.

3 hours of pleasure! sounds great to me! What age? Any tips? What are you thinking of or focusing on during the session? Do you end it masturbating or high and dry?

My last 2 detailed posts are on this page: http://www.aneros.com/forum/f5/over-1-year-later-i-think-i-had-involuntaries-today-where-does-put-me-14415/

I typically have given much advice over many posts going back months / year - do a search on my username for my posts. Likely I should put all my recommendations in the blog or My AnerosMe, etc so I don't have to keep repeating.

I apologize to the starter of this thread - his question for my impatience. It's just that I read so many of these posts by newbies and non-believers that really haven't given it a fair shot / attempt and are quick to discredit. Granted...I do think there are those that seem incapable. This seems true for women having orgasms as well. Some REALLY can, some can well, and then there are those that are little to no pleasure. Anyway, it just seems so silly to me - those saying 'worthless piece of plastic'. If they only knew....

Guys,

I've seen posts from skeptical first-timers here in the forum in the past, but I'm having a bit of a tough time accepting this one as being real when the "user" states that he finds an enema nozzle highly effective as compared with the Aneros! Just think about that one for a minute. Something doesn't seem right here.

Polecat,

I'm with you!. It is interesting that he hasn't responded to any of the posts made in this thread, and has never made another post.

I think it is about time we closed off this discussion!

Amen. But before we do, let me post some "tough love" for anyone who finds himself in the same mindset.

Do you know what RTFM means? Read the fucking manual! I get so tired of the incessant posts that all focus on "it's not working".

It's just a waste of our time guys, to respond to these uninformed guys, who seek INSTANT reward without giving the slightest effort to the process. I guarantee you that they have not read the stickies or spent time with the WIKI.

So, how about we all get together and stop wasting our time and precious resources responding to them any more.

Just a "RTFM" response from the first guy to read the post. Then, if they're still in the same place after a couple months, THEN perhaps we burn some bandwidth and offer support.

Dunno...just my $.02.

i know how you feel man. ive been using the aneros for 2 months now and it hasnt done anything for me. i had like 3 sessions where i had 5 or 6 very tiny involuntary contractions that felt nice but they never came back after that.

ive literally spent hundreds of hours with this thing in my ass and all i feel when i use it now is anger and rage.

The Mental Side of a "Whole Body / Whole Brain" experience

I really liked Rod of Plastic's physical suggestions and Cockadoodle's tough love. I'd planned on blogging this but here it is.

I think there are also important mental considerations to success with the Aneros. Many posts I see in the Forum seem to be venting anger. Others show the gent had little mental openness and the submissiveness to open his soul to the experience. One of the reasons we go solo for sessions is to have a safe environment to submit our souls to whatever feelings may come our way.

Let's face it. We all have some macho in our make up. We are trained in self-control and we tend to extend control beyond plain manners and everyday relationships into elements of our sexual expression and some of us haven't yet separated orgasm from sex.

My first bit of 'enlightenment' was triggered when Starr831 first posted, connecting his spiritual side with his Aneros success. It took me a couple of months and a number of 'dud' sessions to get the picture and figure out what he might be doing (or not doing). Not being a fervently religious guy, I had to do some spiritual homework to find the connections between my personality, my feelings, my soul, my brain and my God.

I think that sessions need a basis in mood, acceptance of spiritual risk, and a relaxed susceptibility to whatever might happen (including soiling your towel -- shit happens!) In this game, one has to be able to reflectively laugh rather than have mis-givings.

Look at four brain factors:

Mood preparation: The Aneros Wiki suggests a hot sensuous shower as a minimal preparation. Open the pores, improve blood and energy flow throughout your bod. When you can, get a massage from your mate before you isolate into your solo session. Remember to pay-back massages on at least a one-for-one basis! Consider adopting some of the practices that our sisters use before their own solo masturbation -- candles, aromas, and massage. Make the event, just about you! Women share a lot of ideas for session prep at the beauty shop. We (particularly str-8s) are not nearly so sharing in the locker room or barber shop. Seek advice from your wife, g/f, sister or other female on what works for her.

Mental anxiety or stress -- this increases tension and masks the subtle feelings that are stair steps to the orgasmic experience. Ways to overcome stress include "focused relaxation" drills, perhaps augmented by meditation or arousal aids like Alana's CD tracks or Kelly Howell's Ecstasy tracks. It was very hard for me to achieve a well-relaxed state before would start to ramp up my arousal.

Brain-Body relationships -- Whether you experience large or small twitches as you build arousal to orgasmic release, they are still quick contractions. If you are muscularly unprepared, a small cramp or Charlie-horse can add to mental stress, trigger anxiety and destroy sensate focus. Before bedding down for insertion, get well hydrated (take a sports drink into that hot shower) then do a basic stretching routine.

The Judgemental facet of your personality -- Take a look at the four letters in your Myers-Briggs personality type. If there's a "TJ" rather than a "FP" on the end of those four letters, you may have a tougher time accepting Dame Aneros' blessings on your feelings. (i.e. ESTJ versus ESFP) While critical assessment of your actions, responses and surroundings is important, it can consume or block your ability to openly accept new feelings. Unrealized feelings result in a session that never gets started or "goes dud" once arousal is established. I finally decided that my best way to tame or soften my "J" was to counterbalance it with 20 minutes of spiritual reading each day and assess my daily activities to emphasize the spiritual element in my being. If you're new to MBTI check out: -- My MBTI Personality Type - MBTI Basics --

And, if you are so disposed, THC can "zero out" out your mood anomalies and anxiety by blanketing you with a mild "lassitude."

rook,

Your advice to 'enemanut' was spot on, right. The Aneros experience each man undertakes towards the Super-O is primarily a mental journey. The Aneros is a physical device you employ to gently open the doors to the immense hall of your own sub-conscious, where the true wonders, mysteries and reveries of our selves reside.

Rook...you are my spiritual twin. Of that I'm certain.

Beautifully written. Classic even. Re-post it as an individual forum post, Rook. It deserves a permanent place in the lore.

Rumel will see to it.
