I dont have any trouble keeping it up with it in, but always seem to lose it before anything "really" happens. Anyone else tried this?

In you "quest" for reaching the ability to have dry orgasms, don't be concerned with what state, or not, of erection you may be having. For many, the onset of dry orgasms is associated with a brisk, intensely hard erection, but the state of erection comes and goes as the orgasms cycle in intensity. I lose mine as I go through several of them and reach that "calm seas" orgasmic state toward the end. So don't worry about it. You have to let your body respond as it wants to to learn the dry/super orgasm techniques.

Is the whole point of wearing a cock ring just to keep your erection up? If that is a non-issue with me would I have anything to gain by wearing one?

Hi aneros_user45139 and slimjm!! 😀 😀 😀

Absolutely right slimjm. au139, I too use cockrings on occasion, and love the stainless steel Titans that I first found and bought here at the Aneros store online. Titans are made by Gear Essentials, who have a great website with great advice re sizing and comfortable healthy use of their wide range of cockrings.

For me, cockrings do not necessarily extend erection time, although they can. However, I am also a guy who has discovered the great joys possible with soft penis sex with my wife and she is VERY enthusiastic. Even solo, there are great wonders in soft penis sensuality and sexuality and new orgasmic wonders!!! And Aneros prostate awakening is one of the great keys to this much wider and richer non-erection focused orgasmic universe!!

I even have sessions of full penis retraction with my Titan on and it still holds my balls up to great sensual effect, during male clitoral massages and mangina orgasmic sessions!! See my blog: http://www.aneros.com/displayblog.php?id=3544

Following offers some 'clarification' about what I value and what others have expressed regarding cockring use.

As ably pointed out by artform and slimjim, we aren't really into maintaining an erection during aneros play for dry-orgasm. For sessions aimed at dry-orgasm there's no need to consider a 'constriction' type cockring or band as one with E.D. might use during intercourse. If anything, it's distraction would be a real minus for me.

Just let Dame Aneros and your own erectile tissue do what they wish. The cycling between flaccid, various stages of 'chubby' and sometimes to rock-hard is a good plus for penis health and perhaps for prevention of E.D.

However, if you are into extended edging and periodic stimulation isn't keeping you hard, you might consider some mild constriction for just those sessions where a Trad-O or Tantric restraint is your objective.

My two Titans (as Artform mentioned these encompass the entire scrotum and base of the penis) are sized for either cold weather or summer wear... my skin is a bit 'thicker' when I'm cold. Both were presents from my wife and are engraved with the same message that we have inside our wedding rings. The message is a continous reminder of my monogamous vow. So, in addition to 'package posturing' and a sensual feel they are also a form of kinky fettish-jewelry and there's emotional sentiment involved in wearing one.

Of late she has helped keeping me fully shaved which makes it much easier and pleasurable to don and wear a ring during foreplay and copulation. It, in combination with a Peridise or SGX, does offer both emotional and sensual support to continous erection. Both play well with an E.D. med when necessary. This type of cockring doesn't have the discomfort of a consriction band or elastic cockring. It's all about pleasure and fascination.

Doning a cockring provides an excellent opportunity to do a very thoughtful palpation of your scrotum and testicles to spot emergent testicular cancer. Good deal on all counts!

enjoy... rook

Have a couple quick questions regarding the cockrings sold on this site (not necessarily for aneros use, just in general):

How is it that the same ring is loose enough (if that is the right way to say) to allow blood flow to cause the penis to go from flaccid to erect, but still "tight" enough to stop (or slow?) the erect penis from going back to flaccid? Also, read that lube makes it easier to get the ring on...but wouldn't that also make it easier for the ring to slide off (especially during intercourse or even masturbation)?

Thank you all, in advance.

Assuming you have two testicles, once you are into a correctly sized ring it's not going to fall off, flaccid or erect. Perhaps someone with one testicle can offer some experience as to how it works for him.

You have to remove it, penis first; then, one testicle at a time. (the reverse of the sequence you used to enter the ring.) Generally, you won't be able to remove a ring when you are anywhere near fully erect. (swallow a Sudafed and wait 30 minutes) But since constriction isn't involved the chance of priapsm is very remote (again, assuming that you are properly sized.)

As you erect, the ring snugs up a bit and lifts your whole package. It's more sensory and psychological stimulation that helps maintain an erection rather than constriction as with elastic bands. (think, an ego boost)

Consider this as a fun toy and a cool cosmetic piece of jewelry.

The Gear Essentials website has info on personalization and sizing.

It makes me much bigger too. Def adds to the girth, and up to 1/2" longer depending on the intensoity of my arousal.

Initially I got a few silicone ones. I found them useless for any purpose. I then bought a thin metal one. It provided some sensation. But I still didn't bother to use it. At last, I got a THICK hefty metal cock ring. I finally got the idea of cock ring. I highly recommend it.

It's kind of tricky to get the right size though.

Hello aneros_user45139,

You might find these articles helpful to understand exactly what must happen in a man's body in order for an erection to occur:

The mechanics of an erection are very complicated and involve a sequenced series of events.

Hi all

I am a devotee of cockrings (of a sort), but for me they have little to do with amplifying or maintaining an erection.

For many years, I have used soft hair elastics in various colors and materials, with this being the "classic" --

Buy Scunci No Damage Elastics, Black Online at drugstore.com

... as a means to elevate and or support my balls, to wonderful erotic effect. While my "boys" hang at pretty much an average level, during arousal and particularly just prior to ejaculation, and especially if the weather ain't warm, they try to retract very close to, if not within, the body. And sometimes, they succeed, which for me is a most uncomfortable sensation.

However, an elastic of the right size does two things: Prevents this discomfort; and, much more importantly, very much improves the ejaculation by drawing out the action of the cremaster muscle. For me, the action of the cremaster--which elevates the testicles as a "condition of ejaculation"--is very noticeable and feels terrific. The longer this action is delayed, and the longer it takes to complete, the longer lasting and the more intense are the prelude to ejaculation and ejaculation itself. Literally, for me cumming feels TWICE as good wearing one of these than without.

No doubt you have seen videos of men masturbating who appear to be trying to "catch" or "hold down" their balls with one hand as they as they approach climax. Using a nice comfortable cockring does this work for you, and lets you use your handle to tickle your balls lightly, or your nipples, or whatever you like.

Finally, let me say that since I began using the Aneros, I have employed the elastic bands to great effect. During long, suspended P-Waves, my balls want to draw up a LOT, and keeping them where they belong, and where I can play with them even more, is essential.

For Aneros use, I sometimes employ a rubber O-Ring (found in plumbing departments everywhere), around 2.5 or 3.0" in diameter, and of varying thickness and elasticity, for more fun. I have a REALLY heavy, thick one that really does act as a traditional cockring, ie., helping retain an erection, but frankly, some Aneros-produced erections are too big and last too long for this to be really comfortable. I want something I can fall asleep in, should the Aneros rock me to sleep. (Which is most of the time.)

If anyone has questions on selecting or using these fine implements, don't hesitate to ask. By the way, if you don't want to buy them, just pick them up off the sidewalk (wherever little girls have been!), take them home and wash them, and add them to your nightstand drawer or shave kit. Mine are full of them!

I would say that if you enjoy the sensation of wearing one, then go ahead. I wear one every so often simply because it feels good, and it certainly hasn't been detrimental to my aneros experience.
