Excuse the blunt introduction. I stumbled onto the aneros web site a few weeks ago. By now, you have probably figured out already that I am a gay man. I think that this probably gives me an edge over most of the heterosexual users, in that I am already experienced with and enjoy anal sex. But I have never experienced anything like the Super O described on this website. I new that I had to try this.
To be honest, when I got to the store and saw the aneros, I was surprised at how SMALL it was. I immediately went ahead and bought the maximus, even though I had seen the reviews here saying that it was for more experienced users.

And now for a very long, detailed description of my first experience. Sorry if it bores anyone (no one is forcing you to read this). As you will hopefully understand, the experience was SO intense and amazing that I have to express it somewhere:
When I got home after dinner last night, I immediately showered, douched, and sat down (well, actually lay down) to try out my new toy. I found that the silicone based lube I normally use worked very well with the aneros. To start things out I decide to also use some gay porn showing alot of ass play for visual stimulation. I also had one drink to help me relax, and calm down after what had actually been a very long a tiring day. Then I lay down and started the experience.
I had no problems inserting the maximus (one example of how being an experienced gay man problem gave me an advantage). Right away, I found the experience very different but extremely pleasurable. I spent at least two hours enjoying the combination of visual stimulation and the stimulation of the aneros against my prostate as I contrated my sphincter. I stayed on my back during the whole process, but would shift between lying with my knees spread far apart, to having my legs stretched straight out in front of me. I also slipped a small pillow underneath my buttocks occassionally to elevate them.
One position that I found very pleasurable was to lift my groin up using my feet and back shoulders to support my weight. This resulted in additional contractions and a slightly different, very pleasurable stimulation by the aneros. I would hold the position for several seconds to a minute, lower my groin back down for a few seconds to rest, and then repeat the process several times.
As my session progressed, I also enjoyed using the handle to gentle rock (vibrate might be more like it) the aneros. This produced an intense stimulation that grew stronger as the session progressed. In fact, the feeling generated by this became more and more intense to the point where I felt like I would cum from that stimulation alone. I was enjoying my session to much to have it end. Now I wonder if I shouldn't have continued and seen where it took me (next time maybe).
All the while, I was avoiding penile stimulation. Eventually I put a few drops of lube on my cock and occassionally rubbed the shaft. I tried to keep this to a minimum since, like I said, I didn't want to reach orgasm too early. But I did find that the sensation complemented the anal stimulation I was getting from the aneros.
After a couple of hours like this, I reached a mental point where I felt so good I knew I really wanted to come. Then I began jerking off my cock with one hand in the more "tradditional" way. At the same time, I used my other hand to to manually stimulate the aneros like I have described above. I still tried to pace myself, because I felt that with all the stimulation I had been having I already I would cum too quickly and suddenly to really enjoy it. I could feel an orgasm building up inside me, getting stronger and stronger. Then it hit like a tidal wave, and I felt a thick load coming out of my and over my chest in short, intense, powerful waves.
After this was over, I realized how exhausted I was physically. I had already had a very tiring day. This experience tired me out even more. But God did it feel good!! I lay still and relaxed for a few minutes. Then removed the aneros -- this was actually a bit more tricky than inserting it. It wasn't enough, I found, to simply relax my sphincter. I had to physically push the device out. I cleaned up and immediately went to bed, exhausted but also amazed at the experience I just had. From what I've read, I don't think that I actually had the holy grail "super O" that everyone keeps describing. But if last night was any indication of things to come, I am DEFINITELY going to enjoy the journey!

So -- that was my first experience. Sorry if it is a little long winded. And, I don't mean to come off as some sort of gay erotica writer either. I would really like to hear from other gay men out there though, and learn about there experiences. I'm also interested in hearing if and how you have intigrated the aneros into sexual encounters with your (male) partners. And, even though it seems to be constantly discussed on this website all ready, I would be curious in hearing about your experiences with other models besides the Maximus. Like many gay men, I am a bit of a size queen. So I was immediately drawn to the maximus; and actually worried that it might be too small for me. Clearly, that wasn't the case. I am wondering now if I shouldn't have gotten another model -- maybe the Helix or Eupho?
In the meantime, while the rest of you are watching the super bowl tonight, I will be relaxing in session number 2 with my new aneros. I'll let you know how it goes. 🙂
Sam,
I am not gay (I hope that doesn't disqualify me from responding) but there are a coupe of quick points that I wished to make. I think your statement regarding having an anal advantage (I'm paraphasing, of course), is certainly true.. up to a point. Being an anal vet, you certainly have a prexisting comfort level with this kind of stimulation, in addition to a knowledge of preparedness (douching, lubing, etc.). However, when it comes to the Aneros, I've found that most men (gay or straight) are hamstrung by any number of preconceptions. First, I must mention that the Aneros is NOT designed to be worked manually, like a dil or vibrator. The unit has been anatomically designed to function with anal contactions alone. Working the Aneros by hand can be dangerous. There have been several reports of users actually drawing blood by this method. The fact is that the angled configuration of the unit provides one with a great deal more leverage than they are aware of, which means that you could end up yielding quite a bit more pressure than you think. I know you had a good time with it, and I'm not trying to rain on your parade, I'm simply urging caution, as you are using the device in an OFF LABEL manner.
With respect to the Super O, check out my threads above ( B's Best of BEE LINE or Key's to the Backdoor .. ) or read through the forum. What you will find is that this alternative experience is NOT ejaculatory, and requires some techniques, and yes, some discipline to achieve. Some get it right away, while others take longer. The first key is realizing that you can't produce the Super O (a non-ejaculatory experience) by traditional (ejaculatory) means. One of things that I've found is that ALL MEN are ruled by ejaculation. We're programmed for it, biologically, socially... no matter what our sexual orientations are.
In so far as the different models go, I think there is some misunderstanding about this too, with gay and straight men. Straight guys normally wonder whether the Aneros will be too large, while gay users ponder whether it will be large enough. The fact is that the effectiveness of the Aneros is NOT predicated on it's girth. It's not something that you slam yourself with, and once the unit is inserted the excursion (distance traveled in and out) is actually rather small, when used as directed. As an aside, I stopped by a retail store recently that has a rather large gay clientele. In the front of the store I saw all of the Aneros models prominently displayed in a case. Out of curiousity I asked the clerk which model they sold the most of..... it was the Maximus! The interesting part is that Helix is of identical thickness near tip, which is where it counts, and the MGX is is only slightly smaller in that regard.
I guess what I'm suggesting to you is to avoid applying old notions that you might have about generating sensations. Even though you have a good amount of experience in this area, a bit of the 'ol beginner's mind is helpful as well.
The Maximus is great and your choice of a silicone lube is good too. This unit, more than any other, needs to be super slick to operate correctly. I've used a combination of Vaseline and KY quite effectively too. (I just had a session with it the other night that was my best ever....one that brought it from the near the bottom of my rotation list to near the top....8 orgasms in an 30 minutes!)
Btw. there are many gay users that frequent this site, and I'm sure they'll respond too!
Cheers,

Great posting! I'm gay, so your not the only one! LOL I have the maximus, I purchased 2 weeks ago, and have used it 5 times so far. I was amazed at how small it was as well. Being gay, I am used to much larger. So far I have not had any experience with it to remember. I will try for my 6th time tonite.
=)

Thanks for your response. No being straight does not disqualify you from responding. I was very glad to hear from you.Just want to clear the record on a few points.
The first is to point out why I think being gay gives me an advantage. I should have made this more clear on my first post. Like you said, being gay is an advantage up to only a point. But, I don't have to wrestle with the phobias/taboo of anal play with which most straight men seem to wrestle (if these forums are any indication) when they first start using the aneros. Don't get me wrong, I had to wrestle with this too. But I dealt with it a long time ago. I also had the tremendous benefit and good fortune of having had a very caring, supportive and (at the time) more experienced lover who helped guide and encourage me. I'm sure most straight men (and probably many gay men) on this site don't have that benefit.
I also wanted to say that your point about not using the aneros manually is well taken. I don't think that anything I did was too risky. It was more of a gentle vibration rather than the hard pumping that is usually done (at least I usually do) with dildos and such. Still, for my second session last night I didn't take any chance and took your advise to heart.
Finally, just an acknowledgment that, yes, I was aware that the "super O" so talked about here is not a traditional penile orgasm (which is what I have had so far). But, I gather that it is also takes time and patience to achieve the "super O". With that in mind, I started using the Maximus last weekend to explore, without any real expectation to find the holy grail on the first expedition. I made that post, because I was very eager to let everyone know just how much I enjoyed the journey itself.
Don't get me wrong, I look forward to experiencing the super O for myself (hopefully one day soon). In the meantime, I am having fun here !!!!

I won't repeat myself since I just posted a reply. But one question I forgot to ask: what is the difference, in your experience, between models such as the Helix and the Maximus? You pointed out yourself that, at the tip, the Helix and Maximus are the same thickness. But the two models do have very different shapes. How does that difference alter the experiences for you? I am very different in how these two models compare especially. Thanks!
Samw,
As I alluded to in my Next Gen. Reviewed thread, overall the Maximus gives one a more of a filled sensation than the other units. It is however not as well balanced as the other models. What this translates into is a massager that feels very good on insertion but isn't quite as responsive. Consequently it requires more aggressive lubrication to achieve optimum efficiency.
The Helix affords a slightly less filled sensation, but with greater agility. The Eupho, interestingly enough provides the least amount of fullness, yet is the most agile. Like the Maximus, this one requires a little more work to use (and yes I find myself missing some the thickness of the larger units). But it has it's place too, for instance I used the Eupho as a warm-up to my Maximus session last week with sensational results.
One other thing, this isn't necessarily about how loose or taught ones sphincter is. So if you're thinking, I've done some huge insertions as compared to this, it's not necessarily relevant. Again, it has more to do with the efficiency of the particular model as a lever . Strangely enough it's all about physics!
One other thing that bears mentioning, to me the Helix has a bit more of a "defined" sensation to it, whereas the Maximus feels a bit duller. If you examine both units you can see why this is the case.
What this all goes to prove is that this is subject to some trade-offs and ones personal preferences of course.
Btw. at this point I much less inclined to tell people to stop using one for another. The fact is, (as another user wrote recently), they're all great, and if you've got the coin, check them out. Again, I like them ALL!
Keep this in mind though, the filled sensation is cool, but it's not really what the Aneros is about. If one wants that, a plug is the method of choice.
Cheers,
BF Mayfield
No, here's another country heard from, I am also the other only gay man here, who cares, it's all about feeling better - Rich
OKAY.Iam married, butt not bias. I am new to the Aneros. Gays seem to refer to bigger is beter quite often. 1. would this be for all of us new at this. 2. Shoud we work are way up. 3. This is all new to me & It seems I can't get enough, even though (NO big O). 4. Really want to get there. 5.Open to all ideas, & I'am working on slowing down & relaxing.
Thanks Barney
I'am also straight. But love toys. A question for the gay man. Does a cock in your ass feel the just the same has a toy?

No, not in my experience. A man's cock inside you seems to fit better, and there is a pliability that you don't always get with toys. However, fit and feel is one thing, but whether or not the guy on the end of the dick in question is able to use it to good effect is another! It's a rare man indeed who knows how to "do" another man. When you talk of prostates to them, there's usually a blank stare involved.
i dont think a guys cock feels much different to a dildo, but the movements are different, as with a dildo you have to move and with a guy you can lay passively. I njoy using my dildo, and can enjoy the presuambly aneros like stimulations without any penile stimulation. Cant wait to recieve my aneros and get started with it!
I wish someone could show me the ropes, like put a cock in my butt. I really, really whant to try it. How do ask someone?
22fires,
Wow, maybe you're nick should be "22-ON-fire".... LOL! Seriously, this is a forum,; a place for the discussion of ideas, techniques, and experiences. It's not a place for a hook-up !
I'm a bisexual male myself. If you're really into exploring you're sexuality, I'm sure you know that there are places (websites and locations in your town) that you can go to where there are people who will be only too happy to oblige your anal curiousity.

LOL!! I haven't logged onto this site in quite a while. I had forgotten about this post. Imagine my surprise to see all these answers now. So, I am not the only one. What a relief, but I really didn't think it cold be otherwise.
I think it is only right that I give my answer to 22fires' question: No, a cock in your ass does not feel the same as a toy. If it's the right cock -- meaning it should have the right guy attached to it -- it feels much much better. One poster said that an important difference is that you can lie passively, and let the person f**king you do the work. Let me suggest a variation on that answer: you can both move around and get each other work. When it happens, it is an INCREDIBLE feed back look. You're with a hot guy and can feel his hard dick pounding your ass, so push back, he feels your tight has pusshing against (and around) his hard dick while he is fucking you. So he get's turned on and starts moving around more too. Then you move around more, etc. etc. etc. etc. It is very hot.
That's a graphic description. The bottom line really is that it depends on the guy. Real sex with the right guy is much more pleasurable because you also have the pleasure of interacting (at all sorts of different levels) with another person. That's a very powerful experience, irregardless of whether that person is the same or opposite sex.
22fire, I see that you identify yourself as straight. But you seem to want to give this a try. I say go for it. This web site probably isn't the right place, but there are plenty that are. Gay, straight, bi are all labels. Be comfortable with your sexuality. Be comfortable and secure in your self. And remember, unlike playing alone with a sex toy, this experience is not all about you. There's another person involved. And they should enjoy the experience too.
